- “Sheik, wait!”
- She wasn’t listening anymore. With the nimbleness and quiet Robin had come to expect, she pushed off the ground and shot through the air, and landed on the dragon’s back. Feet between spikes of the shell, just below the neck.
- The dragon’s arms were stumpy, she and he both knew he had no hope of reaching her here.
- Not to say that he didn’t try. He swung his shoulders, trying to knock Sheik loose.
- “You little-” He crouched down low, preparing for a jump. One wrong move in his leg, though, and he froze up entirely. Sank in defeat back down to the ground.
- Sheik’s footing was firm. She planted herself into his back and stabbed straight down with her knife.
- His head was gone. For a second Robin thought that somehow cutting off the beast’s head caused it to disappear entirely. It wasn’t till he saw the two glowing red eyes from within the neck hole of the turtle shell did he realize what had actually happened.
- “Off!” the dragon roared. Unable to leap, it instead stepped back and slammed into the wall behind it.
- Sheik fortunately wasn’t skewered. Unfortunately, she was still moderately crushed. She fell off the dragon’s back and crumpled to the floor behind him.
