TWEWY All Secret Reports speedrun FAQ

Q. What is this category? How long is it?

A. This category is a 100%-ish category for TWEWY that starts from a fresh file and has to get all the secret reports in the game. This means revisiting every day in it to do specific tasks, erasing every single pig noise in the game, beating all bosses in their non-story locations in Hard or Ultimate difficulty, and beating the superboss Panthera Cantus. Current WR is right under 10 hours but it's bad and doesn't have a full VOD, however sub 9 hours is VERY possible.



Q. How does this compare to Any%?

A. Some days in the run are exactly the same as in Any%, and some get some extra pigs. Of course, the revisits to each day are way different, and all of them have to be revisited at least once for different reasons. In the way through the first three weeks, I also make sure to get some pretty useful pins, those will be listed as their own specific splits. Every single day after credits gets the possibility to speed up text by pressing L/R, so they will generally be very fast.



Q. What equipment and pins do you use?

A. For the most part, every single character will have the same equipment as in Any%, focusing on making the puck go as fast as possible. The main difference is Pi-Face's Cap, obtained at the end of the game. It gives a LOT of attack, so it's ideal for all the boss fights I have to do. In some specific cases I also use equipment obtained through Secret Reports tasks for extra damage.

As for pins, I get the last extra slot that would normally be skipped, and use it to host a pin called Her Royal Highness, which makes pins have more uses and reboot faster. That makes any deck more efficient by default, it's an essential part of my strategy. I also use Rhyme as a pin because it is already maximized. For healing I'll change the usual Cure Drink to Healing Flamingo, which heals less but is faster and has one more use.

If I'm lucky I also get to change the other, better pins in the deck, but it really depends on what drops I get. I also raise some specific pins during the first half of day revisits for a specific pig fight and Wolly AOR.




Q. What is the hardest part of this run?

A. A lot of bosses are hard and I leave them until the end, with the exception of Taboo Minamimoto who is just very convenient to beat early. He also sucks so it's good to have him out of the way. Wolly AOR, that one elephant noise, is also pretty shitty, and I'll be getting some specific pins just to fight him.

The cherry on the top, however, is Panthera Cantus. This superboss is no joke, it can basically 2 to 3 shot me under any circumstance, and it takes a lot of luck and patience to beat. That's why he's at the end of the run.



Q. Why is your time in the console inaccurate?

A. I have to get a Definitivo Chili Dog to clear a wall while revisiting W2D2. This is an attack boosting food that takes a lot of space to eat, and under normal circumstances I wouldn't have space for it after the first 3 weeks. So to counteract that, I set my clock to about 5 hours before midnight, so that when I get to when I have to use the Chili Dog I can eat it as it'll be past midnight.



Q. Wait, you don't have to play Tin Pin? Isn't Another Day about that?

A. No, there isn't a single Tin Pin-related Secret Report, so I get to skip all of that. Also self-destructing in every single Tin Pin match I am forced to play is faster and has no consequences.



Q. Sooooo, what's the best partner?

A. Joshua is by far the best, both in damage done, efficiency, and as a character. Unfortunately we won't get to use him in a lot of boss fights, because Beat has most of them.



Q. Did you play Final Remix? Will you run it?

A. Yes, I bought it, played it, 100%'d it. I currently don't have a capture card for my Switch or the money to get one, so even if I wanted to run it I wouldn't get to record it. I like this version way more either way.
