  1. Misc section:
  2.
  3. Pickup Mystic Water in Pastoria. Best done just before doing Quagsire hunt (so Max Repel is active)
  4. Do not pickup Zap Plate
  5. Obv item switches (Spec on Magnets before Aaron, on Pelipper for Bertha. Mystic Water on Floatzel for Flint, on Tentacruel for Cynthia)
  6.
  7. --
  8.
  9. BIG SECTION 1: VR:
  10.
  11. After exiting the gym, immediately use a Max Repel, and switch Jolteon to the front.
  12. Get Waterfall, onto water.
  13. Grab the Rain Dance TM (Left and down through rocks just before first fight)
  14. (At some stage, catch a L49+ (Ideally L50) Tentacruel. Also get a L47+ (Ideally L50) Pelipper if one shows up, but do not hunt for it. If you get Pelipper before Tentacruel, must go to PC before Victory road and get Tentacruel out)
  15. (Switch to Giratina lead if one doesn't show up with Jolteon as you do spinner pass)
  16. Weaken Tentacruel with Shock Wave, or SC + DC. If Pelipper, weaken with AP + AP (If Jolteon you probably kill, but with really bad Sp Att HB is probably safe)
  17. SW, SW, SW.
  18. When Repel runs out, use another, and Teach Shadow Claw to Giratina (Slot 1), and teach Waterfall to Quagsire.
  19. NOTE: Teach Tentacruel Surf (Slot 3), and heal itonce it is caught (or at Repel if caught early)
  20. Into VR, Giratina generally will be leading at some stage.
  21. Note: If Tentacruel is holding at item (Poison Barb), lead it instead.
  22. DC (DC), Switch to Jolteon: TB (TB), TB + TB (TB)
  23. Av damage: Glalie: 39-46 | Magnezone vs Quagsire: 42-51, vs Jolteon: 28-33
  24. IF Tenta lead: PJ (PJ), Switch to Jolteon: TB + TB (TB), TB.
  25. After first trainer move Choice Specs from Jolteon to Tentacruel and if it isn't already, switch Tentacruel to the lead.
  26. When you get to second room and Repel wears off, leave it off until you get a Magneton.
  27. Weaken with WP.
  28. Get Hidden Rare Candy before Trainer, and then use all remaining candies (should be 3) on Tentacruel.
  29. Surf, Surf, Surf (Surf)
  30. X Spec:
  31. If Gravity: HP, HP
  32. If Reflect/MM: at 104+ Sp Att: Surf, Surf | At 103- Sp Att: HP, HP
  33. If LS: 3 X Spec and at 102+ Sp Att: HP, HP | At 96-101 Sp Att: 4th X Spec: Surf, Surf | At 95-: Surf + Surf, Surf
  34. Av damage: Clefable: 17-20, Torterra: 100% | Torterra vs Giratina: 56-68
  35. Surf + Surf
  36. Av Damage: 43-51
  37. Surf (Surf), Surf, Surf + Surf
  38. Av Damage: Absol SP: 61-73, Dusknoir: 37-45
  39. On the water here, switch Giratina to the front to catch a high level Floatzel (90% - DC to weaken). Can also get a Golbat instead if you got the Aerial Ace TM, but if you skipped it then ignore them.
  40. DC (SC), DC
  41. After you beat this trainer and have a Floatzel, switch either Jolteon or Tentacruel to the front (and generally have specs on Jolteon)
  42. The considering factor here is mostly whether you think Jolteon will OHKO PorygonZ, and therefore not instantly die to Tangrowth, as you want it alive for Empoleon.
  43. Jolteon lead: TB (TB, 100% at 27 IV L49 or 9 IV L50), TB + TB, TB.
  44. Av damage: PoryZ: 39-47, Tangrowth: 87-103
  45. -
  46. Tentacruel lead: Generally Surf + Surf, Surf and die (or kill and switch after): Jolteon: TB, TB
  47. Av damage: PoryZ: 62-74, Tangrowth: 76-90
  48. Use last repel.
  49. For last fight, can either Specs Tenta and: Surf, Surf, Surf (Surf).
  50. (If you didn't get Tenta any exp on the previous fight, not doing this will mean it's still L54 for Snorlax which can be a range at +2 with minus Sp Att - assured at 0 IV anyway.)
  51. Or Giratina and: DC, DC, DC (DC)
  52. Av Damage: Swablu: 22-26
  53. (If you got Golbat, get the Sky Plate here to give it)
  54. If you don't have Pelipper yet, search for one now (Giratina in the front)
  55. Go to Mart. Buy Max Full Restores (can buy some Revives too if you want)
  56. Take PC right away. Change team to (and heal Tentacruel / Giratina):
  57. Tentacruel, Pelipper, Floatzel, Giratina, Magneton/Golbat
  58.
  59. Generally want to check the stats of all 3 of the Pokemon you just caught.
  60. Teach Surf to Pelipper (Slot 1), Waterfall and Rain Dance to Floatzel (Slot 1 & 4, keep Agility in 2)
  61. (and if got Golbat, teach it AA and Fly and give it the Sky Plate)
  62.
  63. Rival: (Generally): X Def, 2-3 X Spec, Heal: Surf, Surf + Surf, Surf, Surf, Surf + Surf (Surf), Surf + Surf
  64. Note: To 100% Heracross at +2: 90 Sp Att (Minus 11) | To 100% 2HKO Empoleon at +2: 108 (26 IV)
  65. (Still only +2 if you get Heracross)
