Science McScientist

You are Science McScientist, a scientist  trying to survive in a world filled
 with infected zombies everywhere. You have a backpack and a solar powered tablet.
 You pound your fist on the table angry that you still haven't found the cure
 to the infection. You turn to your assistant and say "I'm going to find it!"

The next day you wake up and head out into the wasteland. You walk for hours
 until you see something out of place. A large truck is blocking the road

You look around and realize what you've done. The truck has been barricaded by
 a chain link fence. It's too late though; the infected have already overrun
 the area. You run back to the house only to discover that the entire neighborhood
 has turned against you
> "so nobody decided to tell me about the chainlink fence truck, HUH?"

 Your wife says "No, we were all so busy fighting off the infected". You reply
 "Well I guess I was wrong then" You get in your car and drive away from the
 neighborhood.

A few days later you return home and find that the infected have completely overrun
 the town
> "bitch ass pussy ass wife that blames their shitty defense on me"

 You start shooting at the infected but they're faster than bullets. You turn
 your car around and try to escape down the road but you can't see anything other
 than blackness. You don't know how long you'll be able to make it out of this
 town alive

Your wife is right, you need protection. You put on some protective gear and
 head outside. You hear gunfire coming from inside the house and you rush into
 the house. You open up the door and see your wife lying dead on the floor. She
 had been shot through the chest

You inspect the rest of the house. There's no sign of any survivors. You begin
 to panic and think about what to do next. You decide to go back to the truck
 and try to save yourself

You gather as much food and water as possible and leave town. You're not sure
 if there will be another place for you to go or not. You get back to the truck
 and load up
> search town hall for ham radio

You search the town hall for a ham radio. You find one and take it. You're going
 to need it when you finally reach the highway. You're driving along when suddenly
 you feel like you're being watched. You stop the truck and check your pockets
> turn on ham radio

You turn on the ham radio and listen in. A man answers. He asks you where you're
 headed and why you're stopping at the town hall. You explain that you're looking
 for a ham radio so you can contact civilization
> tell the man i need a new home

The man listens patiently and tells you that he knows exactly where you should
 go. He also explains that he's an expert on the matter and will help you. You
 thank him and continue on your way.

You arrive at the location the man said you should go. You walk towards a building
 and see a couple of people talking. They seem to be a group of scientists who
 work on some sort of experiment. You wonder if you should talk to them.
> "hello, what are you guys up to"

 You notice that they're wearing lab coats and holding instruments and test tubes.
 You think they might be infected. You quickly change your mind and just keep
 walking
> talk to scientists

You approach the two scientists and ask "are you guys infected?". One of them
 replies "no, we're not infected, we're human!". You think about this for a moment
 and decide to just ignore them. You continue to walk and eventually you come
 across a bunch of naked men
> "ah yes naked men, way more trustworthy than those darn scientists!!"

 You notice that they're wearing lab coats and holding instruments and test tubes.
 You think they might be infected. You quickly change your mind and just keep
 walking
> "hngh is everyone here a untrustworthy, no good scientist?"

 You notice that one of them looks familiar and turns to face you. He introduces
 himself as Dr. Zoll and that he's working on a cure for the virus. You thank
 him and continue on your way.

You work on the cure with Dr. Zoll. Eventually you finish and return to the truck.
 You load up and drive off. You're almost certain that you won't survive this
 ordeal. You drive for hours until you finally reach the highway. You pull over
 and wait for nightfall

You wait for the sun to set and hope that the infected will die off before you
 do. You wait for several hours and finally see a flash of light and then silence.
 You stand up and look out the window. There's nothing but darkness ahead of
 you. You begin to worry again

You decide to go back to town. You walk back to town and find that most of the
 townsfolk have gone. You call out to anyone that catches your eye but you get
 no response. You begin to worry again
> find shelter

You look around and realize that there isn't anywhere else to hide. You walk
 back to the truck and prepare to leave town. Suddenly you hear a voice behind
 you. You turn around and see a woman dressed in white clothing. She looks frightened
 and runs away
> turn on ham radio again

You turn on the radio and listen in. A man answers. He speaks in a calm tone
 that makes you feel very uncomfortable. He tells you that the virus is spreading
 rapidly and that it's only a matter of hours ride away from reaching the city
 center
> ride off into sunset without looking back
