- I am glad he agrees moralistic beliefs dont impede pragmatic issues. So... why should we let in Hispanics who have more out of wedlock births?
- I think James lost, but this is interesting is it not? People say he seems to flip his perspective depending on the issue. His whole argument is about how birth control is better for social cohesion by limiting the reproduction of the underclass (what he is saying essentially). But he wants to import a new underclass? Also, the issue with single parent homes is in no small part down to the traits of people who become single parents or desert their families. So, I think his argument that single mother homes would be better if it wasn't teens is overly-optimistic. It would help but there's a reason said teens were so impulsive.
- I think James lost sadly, he did much better when he got into the negative externalities of our current system (which birth control is just a band-aid for), but that suggests we need something more reformative than dealing with birth control alone
