- ISSUE DESCRIBED: Unable to convert a world to java into a format whereby it can be opened in 1.13.2 in java.
- BEDROCK
- - I installed RP testing world template in v1.12.0
- - opening the world
- - explored and closed the world
- - Quit Bedrock
- JAVA
- - Creating a new flatworld in java 1.13.2
- Creative mode, superflat, cheats on, structures off,
- - mobspawning set to false
- /tp @e[type=!player] ~ -200 ~
- /tp 180 ~ -47 to be in proximity to the build after conversion
- - Save and Quit to Title
- - Quit JAVA
- MCC
- - Opened MCC ToolChest V0.0.8.3 on my Windows 10 laptop.
- - Opened the RP bedrock Testing world
- - Tools -> Convert -> To JAVA
- - Selected my new flatworld I made
- - Left all settings as default.
- Noticed new chunk status field. Wonder what that all means?
- - I notice it says I can choose 1.14 or 1.12 format. I cannot use 1.12 or 1.14, I need 1.13. But I will choose 1.14 for now.
- - Hit convert
- - Conversion completed 487 chunks
- - Quit MCC
- JAVA
- - Opened Java V1.13.2
- - Hit Singleplayer play.
- - I see that it warns me this was saved in 1.14.4. I'm worried now.
- - Hit "Load Anyway"
- - Preparing world
- - CRASHED GAME
- - Attempting to open again.
- - World actually does open but crashes instantly.
- NEW PLAN: I will repeat the steps above but this time select 1.12 conversion. Maybe this will allow me to upgrade the world to 1.13 by opening it in Java. That would make sense.
- MCC
- - Repeated steps above to convert using 1.12 conversion setting on a NEW flatworld
- JAVA
- - Once again opening 1.13.2
- - World says it was saved in 1.12.2 as expected.
- - I open it and receive the warning and hit "I know what I'm doing."
- - Succesfully loaded into world
- - Not a single chunk was converted. All I see are a bunch of random mobs at my feet.
