  1. Sunrise was at its mitts, sunlight slowly crawling over the horizon and covering everything it could reach. Warmth given to the things that were fortunate enough to be graced with its touch. Sandy beaches and oceanic waters glistened, sea salt filled the air as the waters shimmered and danced onto the gritty sand, stealing it for a couple of moments before returning it to where it came from.
  2.
  3. The sand bed shimmered and glowed whenever the light touched it, sparks and pops of colorful lights emitted from the gentle touches of sun. Sand hearts peaked from under their sandy sheets, slowly waking up and greeting the next day as the sun continued to raise. They were planted in place, stubborn to move from their cozy spots under the sand.
  4.
  5. The only thing being able to shake them from their place was the constant and nudging waves from the ocean, caressing them effortlessly and lovingly. Like a parent trying to wake up their children for the day, patient and understanding, taking their time.
  6.
  7. The waves took the sandy sheets off the sand hearts slowly, stealing a few with a warm endearing hug before returning them to their beds while revealing whoever else was hiding under those sheets. The sand hearts had such a beautiful shimmer to them, colorful sand and shells came together years ago to create this amazing formation.
  8.
  9. Scattered across the beaches of this lovely shore, they decorated it and gave it this unique phenomenon that many come to visit almost yearly solely to witness it and take one as a token. A token to those they love, care and cherish. Their unique heart shaped were an invitation to many, their dazzling colors and shine were eye catching for those who had an eye for shiny trinkets and the likes.
  10.
  11. Reaper was slowly walking across the beach, planting purposefully steps so he didn't sink into the sand and get it all over his body. He disliked the texture of sand, especially gritty sand and would need to immediately get it off or it would react negatively to it. They were looking for sand hearts which is why they even decided to step foot on this messy wet surface. It didn't want to touch the wet sandy blanket of the beach but it had a purpose they wanted to fulfill. He wanted to gather the prettiest sand hearts for his husband.
  12.
  13. Rocket watched from afar, he was sitting on their picnic blanket that they had brought with them. The weather was nice and refreshing this morning so the two decided to go on a little breakfast date to the beach to watch the sunrise and enjoy a nice meal together. They had set up on a small hill on top away from the sand so they could watch the ocean and the sun without becoming a mess but close enough that they could go down to the beach at any given moment.
  14.
  15. Rocket sat there, enjoying the morning breeze as he continued to observe his husband. Hunched back, walking slowly as he clawed at the sand. Rocket found it amusing, Reaper never failed to make him smile by simply being himself.
  16.
  17. The creature was already at work, he had an arm to his chest as he hunched back further to pick up another sand heart and add to his collection. He was being extremely picky, observing the sand hearts below him and analyzing them before even daring to pick them up with the tips of his claws. If one had caught his eye, he would pick it up to analyze it further looking for any imperfections whether it is broken or had any discoloration on it.
  18.
  19. If it did, he would drop it in disappointment before continuing his search. He only wanted the best for his partner and he wasn't going to settle for any less which is why he was being incredibly picky with his choices, he also was being very gentle with the ones he had already picked. He was hurdling them closely to his chest, almost as if he was protecting them and shielding them away. He didn't want to damage the good ones he had found so he was being extra careful with them.
  20.
  21. Death slowly stumbled up the hill after being at the beach for almost an hour, shuffling and clanking sounds came from him every step he took as he approached his lover. He had his arms wrapped around his chest, gently holding a hoard of things as he drew closer to their little picnic. Rocket smiled warmly at his partner, curious to see what trinkets he had gathered as he shifted, making space so he could sit down next to him. The creature didn't even sit down before it gently emptied its arms.
  22.
  23. A hoard of colorful sand hearts from many different colors, mostly shades of color fell onto the picnic blanket gently. There was so many of them that the only proper way to describe them was a hoard instead of a pile due to many there were, there easily could have been a hundred of them. Reaper had spent almost an hour gathering them for his lover, it was the creature's way of showing its love and affection. Shiny trinkets gifts but only the best for its lover, they were hand picked with so much thought put into them. Many of them reflected his partners colors, almost accurately as well.
  24.
  25. The creature stepped closer, planting a gently kiss on its lovers cheek before it began to lick him. Another way it showed its affection by grooming and caring for its partner. Rocket was honestly shocked by all the work Reaper put into this, he had snapped out of it and started giggling when it began to groom him. Rocket had became flustered, body filled with warmth from this gesture as he accepted all the love that he was being showered with. He had returned the gesture, giving his lover a few kisses and nuzzling him in return.
