BACKGROUND: Younghoon met Taimei on a vacation trip to Taiwan, they became penpals despite the language barrier. He started to study Mandarin Chinese for the sake of getting drafted to Taiwan for his military service. Jinhye was born at the time of her father's second year stationed in Taiwan for military purposes. She grew up as the only child but, her mother was the one that raised her due to her father's military service. She grew up taking care of her cousins who she isn't very close to these days. Her father got a good job deal for becoming a professor at Yonsei so then at the age of 8 she moved to Seoul. Luckily she learned both Mandarin Chinese and Korean growing up. She was very good at school and adapting to the people around her, she was completely absorbed into learning the Korean culture. She graduated with perfect marks in 2011 where she started to work on the Korean airline as a flight attendant before getting cast to be in JYP in 2013 on a trip to LA from Seoul. She has been training on and off at JYP for 5 years because she still had her job as a flight attendant. Her parents saw her struggling and told her to drop her job so they paid her training fee starting in September of 2014.

PERSONALITY: She's a bit unapproachable but is extremely kind, is someone that you need to break down her walls to get to the sweet center. She cherishes what she has and lives life with an optimistic mindset. Book smart, street smart, and athletic she gets things down pretty quickly and never plays dumb. She is very rarely seen without a smile because she is very open and easy-going. She is caring and is like that mom friend, always looking out for her others and taking her time to get to know them personally.
