Hello Cherrycoke,

I would like to ask you a couple of questions if I may, and also make a few statements.
(Advisory: Adult Language included)

#1 - Are you or are you not using someone else's or a shared DayZ account?? Because ALL GG members know "Cherrycoke" to be a man, because whenever we have previously spoken to the person playing on the Cherrycoke account, it has been a Male voice.

#2 - Why do you feel that being told to "Get the fuck out" of a building in-game is a "Personal Attack" directed at you??
DayZ is an "Adult" game that is extremely tense and heart pounding at times due to it's Perma Death mechanic. When "Adults" ask someone to do, or not do something and are ignored multiple times and things start getting tense, some Adults will resort to "Emphasizing" by way of swearing. This is of course the Definition and correct usage of the F word, to emphasize. If swearing offends you in such an extreme way, I would strongly suggest not interacting with people, because people swear.

#3 - Why do you think that being a woman makes this matter worse?? If you "Personally" do not like swearing then that is your prerogative, but saying that it's unacceptable and/or made worse "Because you are a woman", is ridiculous. This is an extreme double standard! Are you saying it would be perfectly acceptable from "You" to swear at "Cal" because he's a man, but he cannot swear at you because you're a woman. Is that correct??
Cal, was under the impression as we ALL were, that the player named "Cherrycoke" was a Man, so you saying it was only said to you because you are a woman, is invalid.

That's the end of my questions, now I would like to shed some light on other things you mentioned.

We, GG, feel that as "Adults" a certain amount of Adult humour and general Adult chatter (Including swearing) is acceptable and somewhat expected due to the diverse player base that enjoy video games. Some may completely agree with us, others may totally disagree, but these are opinions and personal preferences. We accept, to a level, adult chatter, humour and in-game banter.
Example: We do not get personally offended every time someone kills us in-game and says to us over VoIP: "Ha! Get fucking rekt dickhead". We hear this and think, "Right, cocky one ain't we.... time to hunt that person down a return the favour" :) This is commonly known as "Banter", whereby a group of people that enjoy and participate in the same activity, will try to "One Up" each other, and start a friendly rivalry. The thing that happens in sports, played b both men and women.

Things we do Not accept are Racial, Homophobic, Sexist remarks or hate speeches and any type of bullying. Now, everyone's opinions regarding what constitutes a Racist, Sexist or Homophobic remark and/or bully will differ heavily, but I'm sure that most normal people could agree that, (As an example), One person learning that another person is Black, then calling them the N word, is 100% racist and frankly disgusting! But one person not knowing if the other is Male, Female, Black, White, Young, Old, Tall, Short... etc.. saying "Oi you, fuck off!" Is "NOT" the same!


Regarding the mention of "We [GG] would not accept being spoken to like that"..... Errr Yes! Yes we do, everyday in-game. We put up with a Huge amount of swearing and "Banter".
We have a regular player on our servers who is Female, that we interact with very frequently, we have a friendly in-game rivalry with her, she calls us names and swears at us when she kills us. Not one of us gets offended by this and thinks it is wrong because she is the opposite sex.

Lastly regarding the player given a short term ban for the username "Shit Cunt". He was asked nicely multiple times to change it, he refused. The username did not offend us, it was just unnecessary. Usernames are visible to everyone in-game, on the website and on server tracking sites. This is totally different to someone saying it in-game.
Example analogy: A shop worker saying "I'm so Fucking angry" in the staffroom at work is Private and between those people present, it's different for said person wearing a T-Shirt printed with "I'm so Fucking angry" on the front of it and walking out onto the shop floor everyone to see.
Because the latter is totally unnecessary and pointless, there is no need for it. The former is someone expressing their feelings.
