Finder and Spotlight do not generate any results from the simplest of
searches.  Ive reset Spotlight, and create a alternate admin account w
ith a fresh configuration. Same results.  No response to the search. N
o files, no folders, not even system folders.
I used FindAnyFile and it worked perfectly found whatever I was search
ing for.
