Bratton Fact Sheet, Privitizating Police and Security

Bill Bratton info-sheet.  Bratton has ties to the privatization of police forces, and the privatization of world security.  Being hired to oversee the Oakland police should cause concern in the Bay Area.  While Bratton has extensive police background, Bratton has worked to bring corporate influence into policing and public safety.

1: BRATTON'S TRAVEL SCANDALS, CORPORATE GIFTS, ETC.

I. New York: NYPD Resignation - 1996.  Bratton forced to resign for taking corporate gifts such as air travel, as well working on a book deal while on duty.

II. LA: Travel/vacation scandal - 2005. Bratton heavily criticized for missing work due to extensive travel.  In 2005, Bratton was out on travel two-thirds of the year.  Controversially rehired for second term, despite travel scandal.

2: KROLL: THE OTHER BLACKWATER

I. Bratton becomes Chairperson of Kroll - 2010.  Steps down to Senior Advisor - 2012

II.Kroll known as "the other Blackwater", and the "Private CIA". Krull used by private corporations for espionage, security, intimidation of non-American politicians who go against US-corporate interests.

3. 2008 Pre-ELECTION TERROR SCARE.  Bratton heavily criticized for repeatedly stating baseless warning that Bin Laden would strike against the US as to effect the election, and sway votes to John McCain.

BRATTON'S TIES TO US-LED COUP AGAINST HUGO CHAVEZ - APRIL 11 2002: http://sfbayview.com/2013/was-oakland-police-consultant-william-bratton-involved-in-the-failed-venezuela-coup-and-if-he-was-should-oaklanders-be-concerned/ Bratton present in Caracas as failed US-led coup against Hugo Chavez transpired.  Chavez held for 48 hours, then returned to power.  Bratton installing new Caracas police computer systems during coup, leaves Venezuala after coup fails.

6. BRATTON AND DORNER: Dorner fired by William Bratton in 2008, for complaining about a culture of abuse in LAPD.  Dorner claimed to have witness a fellow officer kick a suspect in the head, causing some injury.  Prior to being fired, Dorner was in decent standing with the force, and had received a challenge coin for military service.  Despite the gift of the challenge coin, and the nature of Dorner's firing, at the start of the Dorner stand off, Bratton claimed he could not recall who Dorner was and the circumstances behind his firing.
