  22. (1)Covenant:
  23.
  24. (Arena)
  25. #1 Kyrian has medium AoE damage, but very high single target damage. This on-demand burst allows boomkins to punish misplays from the other team and land kills. With the excess of AP from timeworn dreambinder + tierset, you can also tab target this single target burst like a fire mage combusting.
  26.
  27. #1. Necrolord also seems to be very strong right now. It has overall higher damage than kyrian, but less burst potential. This cov seems to be good with caster cleaves mostly, or just rot comps. I would not recommend playing necrolord until you have 4p and double lego.
  28.
  29. #3. Night Fae has some play in arena with cheesing teams with convoke oneshots. However due to its inability to burst without being shut down with short cooldowns, it falls behind covenants like kyrian and necrolord.
  30.
  31. #3. Venthyr was nerfed this patch, however, if you want to have the largest burst possible in arena that is a little more controlled and not casted, venthyr is the play. The problem with venthyr is people can simply line of sight your 3 minute cd's, which makes it far less viable than kyrian and necro. (venthyr is really bad)
  32.
  33. (RBG)
  34.
  35. #1. Night Fae is the best for rbgs right now with the ability to incap roar cap + Cyclone cap a node, and then bash convoke the base sitters trinket. It can quickly end team wipes and destroy 1v2 and 2v2 scenarios if the opponents don't have trinkets.
  36.
  37. #2. Necrolord is more of a massive pad spec for rbgs, but its really nice teamfights, because with a circle of life and death, you can get up to 20-30kdps bursting and sustain 15kdps on 4+ targets. Its pretty much a good spec to oom the enemy team in 1-2 minutes, but its burst is not great for going on the offense on flag maps or for solo ninja capping bases. **If possible play defense on fc maps with this covenant.
  38.
  39. #3. Venthyr is third now because necro does insane damage all the time, however, if you want to have the largest aoe burst in an rbg, venthyr is still the play. This season you could be seeing numbers upwards of 60-80k dps with venthyr for about 20 seconds(55k last season). However the sustain is low, so if your playing to pad, overall necro will do a bit more.
  40.
  41. #4. Kyrian, good for killing fc, bad for ninja nodes, bad in teamfight. Strong base sitter because of phial of serenity and Kyrian auto stun conduit, however cant really ghost ever to ninja or do anything useful in teamfight.
  42.

  393.
  394. (6)How to deal damage:
  395. (General Rotation)
  396. #1 Dont overcap Astral Power
  397. #2 Maintain dots on all players/pets
  398. #3 Enter Eclipse as often as possible
  399. #4 Re-dot when dots are at 25% duration left or when moving
  400. #5 Dont Starfall in arena, just use starsurges (Starburst on Blade's Edge is okay) (arena)
  401. #6 Starsurge priority targets in rbgs once dots are applied to the whole team and you can maintain 24/7 starfalls (rbg)
  402.
  403. (Night Fae Burst Rotation)
  404. #1 Incarn + convoke after 3x surge to have 3x moonkin aura
  405.
  406. (Kyrian Burst Rotation)
  407. #1 Have 80% Astral Power
  408. #2 Use incarn + Kyrian Ability, and fury of elune
  409. #3 Dump as much astral power as possible in 10 seconds
  410.
  411. (Necrolord Burst Rotation)
  412. #1 Build Marrowed Gemstone Stacks
  413. #2 Have whole team dotted(VERY important as necro)
  414. #3 At 10 marrowed gemstone stacks incarn and spam as much astral power as possible while maintaining FULL dots
  415.
  416. (Venthyr Burst Rotation)
  417. #1 Build 90%+ Astral Power
  418. #2 Incarn + Ravenous Frenzy and Dump 3x surge
  419. #3 Maintain dots and get as many surges out as possible
  420. #4 Pool astral power to 100 by 2 seconds left of initial Ravenous Frenzy buff
  421. #5 at 2 seconds left of initial Ravenous Frenzy, fury of elune
  422. #6 Dump that fatty dam (throw surges and drop a starfall if its rbg, but dont spam starfalls they dont stack)
  423.
  424. (7)Keybinds:
  425. **Having the best keybinds for every ability will make the game so easy and smooth to play**
  426.
  427. I highly recommend using ctrl-(1-5), shift-(1-5), and alt-(1-5), as well as many other shift modifiers, like shift-q, shift-w, shift-e... I would NEVER use mouseover keybinds for your teammates. Instead create binds like shift-a, shift-s, shift-d or any aligned sort of keys to target you and your teammates.
  428.
  429. *Example of why mouseovers suck*:
  430. Say your fighting ret/war/disc and they stormbolt your healer and cast hoj, mindgames, sharpen, wings and necro war mastery buff. What you need to do to survive is trinket + incap roar + cancel form + beam mindgames + [leap your healer] + skin + kyrian phial + typhoon dps/root. That's 8 Moves that you need to complete in 1 gcd to survive by yourself. The part where the mouseover sucks, is when you turn to typhoon, it will come out late because your not using your mouse to look at the enemy team, your using it to click your healer. Everyone knows that if you hesitate for even .5 seconds with your mouse, you just simply die and/or will require major cds to be pressed from your healer causing an overlap.
  431.
  432. **You will require about 4 less binds overall when playing with binds to target you and your teamates**
  433.
  434. I would recommend using tab targeting/clicking to apply dots to the enemy team(because you look at their nameplates to see who needs to be dotted/re-dotted), but in general I would use mouse binds to target arena 123.
  435.
  436. FRENZIED REGEN NEEDS TO BE SEEN OUTSIDE OF BEARFORM ON YOUR ACTION BARS. PERIOD

  489. .......................................................................................................................................
  490.
  491. (9)Things you may not know:
  492.
  493. - Any attack in the air can be immune by using shadowmeld before it hits you.
  494.
  495. - You can eat traps by wild charging your healer.
  496.
  497. - You can cancel your bearform then use stampeding roar to instantly go back in bear to bait someone to stun you in form.
  498.
  499. - You can gain astral power by spamming starfire or wrath into a cyclone or any immune target.
  500.
  501. - You can mass entangle monk images or bm hunter pets to stop 80% of their damage.
  502.
  503. - You can bear form wild charge off of a bash beam to extend your stun on a target by 2 seconds.
  504.
  505. - You can use flap after wildcharge in moonkin form to gain twice the distance. Flap is off the gcd so use it.
  506.
  507.
  508. - **You can use a beam to stop warlock wall, priest ps/guardian, dk ams, ret wog/veng sheild, mage barriars/cs, monk port/lust, druid
  509. ns, shaman ground/ascend/surge. Being creative with your solar beam can land you kills and or force cds where otherwise you would not
  510. have. Just using beam as an interrupt or root beam is very limiting. Keep in mind barkskin, and shaman wall can be pressed through
  511. solar beam unlike other expansions.**
  512.
  513. - If you are in a 1v1 vs a player that will not let you cast to get into eclipse because they are running around a pillar, the way to
  514. kill them is to run at them with double dots, surge off cd, and catform shreds and bites. Then whenever you have a stun or typhoon,
  515. use
  516. that to get them off the pillar to enter eclipse. Running at them only dotting and surging is only 3/5 the damage you can do to them.
  517.
  518. - You can attack people through pillars with the moonkin passive "Astral Influence". You can also attack people through the Blade's
  519. Edge floor. Use this to stop drinks w/out getting cc'd by the healer or to stop rogue restealths.
  520.
  521. - Root melee dps out of your cyclones to allow your self 1 - 3 more casts before they use a gap close to instantly connect to you.
  522.
  523. - When fighting a jungle, use a focus starsurge's on their healer to prime them for bashbeam setups. This is especially important if
  524. your necrolord, due to the lack of burst.
  525.
  526. - You can only get your owlkin adept procs in moonkin form.
  527.
  528. - You can line of sight during the first half of your convoke to cause the next half to use primarily starsurges.
  529.
  530. - If you are playing resto affin and heart of the wild, during heart of the wild you can innervate yourself and do infinite heals.
  531.
  532. - When you start off an arena game, dont dot, attempt to instantly get in eclipse before melee connect to you. This will allow you to
  533. do greater damage on your first go and save CA for the second go.
  534.
  535. - As a boomkin its important to know how to oom a team. Doing spread aoe damage will not oom every healer. Hitting starfall because it
  536. will do 25% more damage than just using starsurges does not oom a team. What ooms a team is when the healer is forced to use mana
  537. inefficient heals more often, like radiance on one target. Hence the reason in arena using abilities like starfall and solstice may
  538. increase our dps, but will not oom a healer or force trinkets like starsurges or fury of elune. All healers in arena are equipped
  539. with mana-efficient aoe heals whether it is atonement or beacon. This is why you don't see high rated balance druids on EU or NA
  540. spamming starfall or running solstice.

  558. The best strat is to run down warlock in between their offensive cds. During Abom limb use aegis + skin and stampeding roar + incap + tyhoon around a pillar to live. During tyrant kill Oblisk, cyclone/mass root tyrant and los. Never turn and hit dk, its a huge bait even when the dk is the worst player in the world(often the case). You dont need to allways have a stun on warlock to root beam healer, just send cc's on him off cd and kill warlock as fast as possible. Do not turn and hit dk if he is training your healer. Your healer needs to not oom and live a 1v1 against a dk while you 2v2 the warlock and healer with your dh.

  570. Into a demo caster team its not worth stopping drinks. You need to try and pull 6 - 8k dps+ the entire game from the pillar and only clone whats in range while tossing a heal or two every few mins on your dh when they go. Your win condition is getting 20%+ damp while doing max dam on the nearest/least hotted caster. You need to play the long game and push in when you have overwhelmingly more cds than they do in damp.

  585. Begin in stealth, Incap Roar Opener(try to give the stunned target a gap in stuns. Or just roar as many targets as possible), and stay bear, be ready to pre-aegis if they blind healer to swap you. Then look to instantly go the mage all game with purges, stuns, and damage cooldowns off cd. As a boomkin, it's your job to keep your team alive against an RMP for the small goes, and your teammate's job's to stay alive and trade heavy cooldowns for the RMP's big goes. During the opener, only if the Rogue or Mage trinkets agro should your rsham or dh need to trinket to live. Note that good RMP's will open your healer, blind him low and swap to you, so stay in bear for a few seconds after their initial go on your healer. If they cross-cc your team and they go you, if you believe you will die, IT IS YOUR TRINKET. Since you can't guarantee save your teammates its very important that if the enemy RMP decides to go you with their cooldowns you trade yours. Your trinket should be a first resort to saving yourself and the last resort to saving your teammates in general. Even if they mindgames, bust, blades, an Emblem + renewal + phial will make you go from 0-150% hp. Aegis + Renewal + Shadowmeld will save you through mindgames bust etc.
  586.
  587. "Re strat"
  588. If you begin to notice that the enemy RMP has been forcing your team's defensives too quickly, going for a re-stealth will allow you to avoid cross-cc on the RMP's next go and allow you to open with an incap roar + solar beam + disarm to peel their next go. You can essentially do this until your team's cooldowns have recovered. And what is really nice about this is the mage will blink agro to stop your re-stealths, which will allow you to instantly punish his aggressive positioning and score a kill.

  600. Due to fury war being more prevalent, the sustainability of your spec to live entirely relies on how well you can land clones on DPS to minimize the pressure. Land clones on the healer when you have a stun for the dps, or when the enemy healer is going for cc on yours. Its important to double stun and pop incarn instantly even if you cant get cc on the healer. The haste from Celestial alignment will allow you to fake interrupts easier and not fall behind in the beginning. If you end up sitting bear for more than 20 seconds in a 3 minute game, this means you are not getting clones out and generating enough pressure with your team. This should be a very easy matchup. If your playing with an rsham they NEEEEED to play in the open 100% of the game. Kill ret(enhancement) 90% of the time. Never train healer, but swapping war if you can 100% on that go is okay. Otherwise, you are wasting time.

  612. Contrary to last season. This season Begin in stealth and incap clone their opener. DO NOT GO THE HEALER. Holy priests and disc priests this season are not worth going. Heres why: Force their trinket, kill next go right? Wrong they will pre bm, pre desperate prayer, or pre aegis, or their dps will trinket to save them. It's very unreliable to kill the healer this season, however its a pretty free matchup. What you need to do is train hunter, play super agro with cyclones on healer and on feral to keep your team afloat. If you clone healer and stun hunter off cd you should win. If feral trains your healer. Just run down the hunter and ignore the feral unless he is in line for a cyclone, then clone him for a sec and keep gas peddling.

In this game you are running tanky talents, however, you need to end the game fast. If this game goes for more than 3 minutes you generally will lose. When they go you use emblem during psyfiend goes to buffer your hp, then heals once the psyfiend is dead.

  637. Start in stealth and incap clone or root beam healer and do your first go instantly on the boomkin. In this matchup whichever boomkin is forced into bearform will lose very quickly. This is because while one boomy is in bear, the other is quick cloning high winds on multiple targets taking over the game. The talents here are very defensive to allow a mirror to not be able to perma force you into bearform. This matchup is extremely explosive and should only last 1-2 minutes. Just straight gas the enemy boomy, don't go dh don't go rsham at all unless its a 100% guaranteed kill. This is because if you fail to kill the enemy dh or rsham, the boomy will cycle his regens/defensives and will be able to gain momentum over your team.

You can do so much damage to god comps that they will just die from sheer damage. During their goes if they go you trinket immediately since you are running hyper agro talents into this and regen around a pillar, If they go your teammates, like rmp you are the last resort save. Offheals against this is very op since if they kick you, your healer free casts. Use off heals and clones to keep your dh in the fight and keep your team agressive.
