You can only do it once per battle just like with mega evolutions. It makes it even.
You have to know when to use it. It's literally used even in competitive matches

Yea. That's a quick kill right there. And ussualy the AI will use it but won't one shot one of your own.
For me it made the big battles way to quick cause I could instantly knock one out of theirs.

1. I bought it with my money, can play how I like
2. Game was way to easy using z moves and all this added stuff, so I stopped and now it has some challenge and feels rewarding
3. What's wrong with me enjoying the game I bought the way I want? I like certain pokemon and it's even better seeing them move and attack and stuff.
4. I have no interest in playing against others in battles for the most part, me and Nick would battle each other once in awhile and he would try and get alot of gen 1 and 2 pokemon as well.
