  1. [23:19] <[Owen]Cole> Intro: Despite the weirdness, our heroines (and Cole who’s not a girl, probably) somehow made it out of the Power Plant incident all right. Their sleep was probably filled with weird thoughts maybe. The next day, Iris scooted over to the Indigo Plateau to be debriefed and junk. Cole and friends chill quite a ways away next to a wilderness lake…
  2. [23:22] * [Owen]Cole looks out at the still waters. The vague blur from last night sort of hovers around by the shore, looking extremely out of place from reality.
  3. [23:22] * Kovacs floats around and eventually decides to sit on Cole's head, looking bored and a tad pensive.
  4. [23:23] * [Owen]Cole is equally pensive as he looks up at Kovacs.
  5. [23:23] <[Owen]Cole> "Oh...morning."
  6. [23:23] * [BNS]Komacho sits with the group, curled up in a ball and still somewhat affected by the events of last night.
  7. [23:24] * [Owen]Cole trades glasses with Kovacs absentmindedly.
  8. [23:24] <[Owen]Cole> "Gehh... This prescription is just... confusing."
  9. [23:25] <[Owen]Cole> "How in the world do you see out of these?"
  10. [23:25] * Kovacs fiddles with Cole's glasses for a few moments before getting them to sit right.
  11. [23:25] * [9]Doudan sits by the lake water, trying to skip stones.
  12. [23:26] * Kirarin watch Doudan's activity with interest.
  13. [23:26] <Kovacs> <What do you mean? The lenses needed to have a specific design to work right, but... I thought you'd find the design more bothersome.>
  14. [23:26] * Kovacs adjusts herself to be resting on Cole's head completely, and absentmindedly proceeds to pet it.
  15. [23:27] * [Owen]Cole has increased difficulty reading the translator without the appropriate glasses.
  16. [23:27] * [BNS]Komacho peeks up over her arms at Cole and Kovacs, then turns away and hides her face so no one can see that she's started to cry again.
  17. [23:27] * [9]Doudan throws a stone, only to watch it sink after bouncing once.

  19. [23:27] * [9]Doudan falls in a slump.
  20. [23:28] <[Owen]Cole> "Umm... If I'm reading this right, I think... maybe I agree?"
  21. [23:29] * Nameji notices the balled-up Komacho, sneak-floats up behind her and...
  22. [23:29] * Nameji used TAKE DOWN!
  23. [23:29] * Kirarin wish to try, but she's not really good with socializing.
  24. [23:29] <Nameji> <What'cha dooooooin? Being curled up by yourself is boring!>
  25. [23:30] <Kovacs> <I guess can be a little strange.>
  26. [23:30] * Kovacs shrugs, but doesn't interrupt her petting routine.
  27. [23:30] * [9]Doudan tries again, and... fails.
  28. [23:30] * [BNS]Komacho puts up no resistance as Nameji tackles her, aside from turning her head away and trying to hide her tears.
  29. [23:31] * Kirarin imitates what Doudan did, and it skips 4 times.
  30. [23:31] <Nameji> <...Ah? What's this?>
  31. [23:31] <Kirarin> <oh. It's not that hard.>
  32. [23:32] <Nameji> <Are you crying? Is something wrong?>
  33. [23:32] * [Owen]Cole switches back the glasses and watches the blur.
  34. [23:32] * [9]Doudan stares at Kirarin absentmindedly for a few seconds, then turns and shuffles away.
  35. [23:33] * [Owen]Cole pats Kovacs on the head as well. Always nice to return favors.
  36. [23:33] * Nameji attempts to worm her way around Komacho to get a look at her face.
  37. [23:33] * Kirarin sit there without anything else to do. Doudan's gone. no one to show off with.
  38. [23:33] * [BNS]Komacho clenches her eyes shut
  39. [23:33] <Kirarin> <...oh well. Guess this is the woe of being genius.>
  40. [23:34] <[BNS]Komacho> <...leave me alone.>
  41. [23:34] * [9]Doudan stops next to a tree and decides to sit next to it.
  42. [23:35] * Kirarin then just settle there at the riverside and clean her sparkling fur.
  43. [23:35] <Kovacs> <Incidentally... what was that from the other day? Back at the plant?>
  44. [23:35] <[Owen]Cole> "Oh... you mean that?"
  45. [23:35] * [Owen]Cole points to the thing.
  46. [23:36] * Kovacs nods, rubbing against Cole's head a little by doing so.
  47. [23:36] * [GM]StrangeBlur blurs itself over to Kirarin. It doesn't seem to really walk or have legs, it just sort of jerks itself over there.
  48. [23:37] <Nameji> <I don't want to~>
  49. [23:37] * Kirarin is cautious over the newcomer, but still do her thing without flinching. It is an ally.... probably.
  50. [23:37] <Nameji> <So I'm going to assume it's something about yesterday, right?>
  51. [23:37] * Kirarin groom groom.
  52. [23:38] * [GM]StrangeBlur looks remotely humanoid, but short, like most of the girls. It seems to have a sort-of face, but it's marred with patches of black and white like a printer running out of ink.
  53. [23:38] * [Owen]Cole sighs.
  54. [23:39] <[Owen]Cole> "It's... complicated."
  55. [23:39] * Kirarin tries not to look and focus on her grooming.
  56. [23:39] * Kirarin is also not the type to initiate conversation.
  57. [23:39] * [9]Doudan spots the thing and starts watching it.
  58. [23:39] * [GM]StrangeBlur doesn't say anything. It just sort of drifts around on the ground.
  59. [23:40] * Nameji pokes at Komacho's cheek.
  60. [23:40] * [Owen]Cole pulls out that same book from before.
  61. [23:40] * [BNS]Komacho says nothing, just keeps her eyes closed, trying to not cry...
  62. [23:41] * [Mys]Violet smokes...
  63. [23:41] * Kovacs peers over to see it, but makes a concerted effort not to leave her perch. Comfy...
  64. [23:42] * Kirarin 's curiosity got the best of her. the little fox tries to sniff it.
  65. [23:42] <Nameji> <...Ah, jeez. I'm really awful at these sort of situations... I'm a robot, y'know?>
  66. [23:43] <[Owen]Cole> "It's all in this book, or at least the theory behind it..."
  67. [23:43] <Nameji> <I heard talking about your problems usually makes you feel better about them.>
  68. [23:43] <Nameji> <I'll listen if you'll tell me.>
  69. [23:43] * Nameji pauses for a moment.
  70. [23:43] * [GM]StrangeBlur doesn't smell like anything that makes any sense.

  72. [23:44] * Kirarin is now confused. She got tailed by something unexplainable by normal means.
  73. [23:44] * Kirarin quickly proceed to where Cole is and hide behind him.
  74. [23:44] * [Owen]Cole is foxed!
  75. [23:45] <[Owen]Cole> "Gack! Oh, Kira! You, uhh, you like to do that, don't you?"
  76. [23:45] * [9]Doudan gets up and walks towards the thing.
  77. [23:45] * [Owen]Cole patpats, though with less cheer than normal.
  78. [23:46] * [9]Doudan stares at the odd blur.
  79. [23:46] * [GM]StrangeBlur herky-jerks closer to Doudan. Its sort-of face seems maybe intrigued.
  80. [23:47] <Kirarin> <Just let me hide for a minute. I am not amused by this......... thing.>
  81. [23:47] * Kovacs waves at Kirarin from atop Cole's head.
  82. [23:47] <[Owen]Cole> "The thing? Oh... don't worry. It's not going to hurt you."
  83. [23:47] * Kirarin see the greeting but did not do anything to return it.
  84. [23:47] <Kirarin> <It is menacing...>
  85. [23:48] <[Owen]Cole> "At least, it shouldn't... Not on purpose... I'm still figuring that kind of stuff out, really."

  87. [23:48] * [Owen]Cole looks serious as he thumbs through the book.
  88. [23:48] * Kovacs adjusts her glasses as she looks on to try and read.
  89. [23:50] <[Owen]Cole> GMSpeak: It's a bunch of technobabble, Kovacs. You'd have to take it reeeeeal slow to understand anything.
  90. [23:50] * [GM]StrangeBlur emanates something back. It sounds like a quiet car crash followed by a telephone and a duck quacking.

  92. [23:51] * [9]Doudan lifts a pudgy hand to try and tap the blur.
  93. [23:52] * Nameji pokes at Komacho's cheek again.
  94. [23:52] * Kovacs scratches her head and then scratches Cole's; he seems to have forgotten to do it himself. What a book...
  95. [23:53] * [GM]StrangeBlur reaches out what might be a blurry, hazy arm as well. The touch feels strange, like touching a dozen different textures all at the same time. It might not even be solid.
  96. [23:53] * [BNS]Komacho is still unresponsive... she's completely shut out the outside world.
  97. [23:54] <Nameji> <...Okay then.>
  98. [23:54] <Nameji> <Obviously, I can't do this by regular means.>
  99. [23:54] <[Owen]Cole> "Where is it, where is it... ahh well, it doesn't matter."

  101. [23:55] * [Owen]Cole sets the book down for now and moves Kirarin to his lap. Something to do with his hands for the moment. Pet, pet, pet~

  103. [23:55] * Nameji lies her head on the back of Komacho's and closes her eyes...
  104. [23:56] * [GM]StrangeBlur emanates an electric-y crackle and a multi-pitched blackboard scratching, or something vaguely close to that at least.
  105. [23:57] * Nameji used PSYCHIC!... Or was about to, anyway.
  106. [23:57] * Kovacs starts petting Cole's head again, looking over at the blur for a few moments but then turning back.
  107. [23:58] <[Owen]Cole> "How to put it, uhh... Well, I don't really, KNOW, what it is..."
  108. [23:58] <[Owen]Cole> "It exists. That's something, at least."
  109. [23:59] * Nameji quickly turns around to look at the source of the noise and notices the blob.

  111. [23:59] * [GM]StrangeBlur doesn't seem to make any active efforts to do much of anything other than drift around.

  129. [00:04] * Kovacs opens her mouth to speak, but thinks better of it and stops herself. Maybe his parents are still a sore subject...
  130. [00:04] * Nameji understands little more than a crying train wreck.
  131. [00:05] <[Owen]Cole> "How to say it... it's, uhh, not really... supposed to exist?"
  132. [00:05] <Kirarin> ?
  133. [00:07] * Kovacs perks up a bit, a tad confused but simultaneously curious.

  135. [00:07] * [9]Doudan tries walking into the blob.
  136. [00:07] * [Owen]Cole rubs his temple. Maybe using the "secret weapon" wasn't the best idea after all if it makes his head hurt this much...

  138. [00:08] * [GM]StrangeBlur doesn't seem to want to be walked into; it blurry-shifts to the side without warning. Doudan feels like walking through raining sand and feathers as she catches the edge of it.
  139. [00:09] <Nameji> o O ( Something's bugging her... from between midday yesterday and now... Events record: Suprise attack, fainting.)
  140. [00:09] <[Owen]Cole> "Maybe I should just tell it from the beginning."
  141. [00:10] <Nameji> o O ( Ashamed of being knocked out? Unlikely. Ah, wait, she was freaking out over Cole shortly before that, possibly relevant? )

  143. [00:10] * [Owen]Cole is glad he's got a nice littlefox to help him relax.

  149. [00:11] * Kirarin gets on Cole's shoulder and sit on it, being comfortable and shiny like usual.

  151. [00:12] <[Owen]Cole> "Well, it all started with Cinnabar, really."
  152. [00:12] * [9]Doudan is made wet!
  153. [00:13] <[Owen]Cole> "Any of you ever been to the Cinnabar Island coast? The one by the volcano?"

  155. [00:14] <Kirarin> <heard of it.>
  156. [00:14] * [GM]StrangeBlur jerky-shifts backwards a bit.

  158. [00:16] * [BNS]Komacho shoves Nameji off of her and runs off!
  159. [00:16] <[Owen]Cole> "Well, I mean, nobody really would care much. It's a volcano. It's a coast. That's why nobody notices anything."
  160. [00:18] <Nameji> <....Okay then. If we're going to be doing things like this.>
  161. [00:18] <[Owen]Cole> "See, something's... wrong, with that coast. Not the volcano. The water right off the shore."
  162. [00:18] * Nameji sighs and brushes herself off... But keeps her eyes on Komacho as she runs.

  164. [00:18] * Kirarin shifts closer to listen more.
  165. [00:19] <[Owen]Cole> "There's science and stuff about it my parents did, but it's like... it's broken. From reality, or existence, or space, or something."
  166. [00:20] <[Owen]Cole> "Like maybe somebody forgot to finish it when they made the world."
  167. [00:21] <Nameji> o O (...Too fast. Capture impossible.)

  170. [00:22] * Nameji just sits on the ground, right where she was pushed off.

  178. [00:26] <[Owen]Cole> "That was a... mistake. Kinda. Maybe."
  179. [00:27] <Kirarin> <You keep using maybe, kinda, that sort of thing.>

  182. [00:27] <Kirarin> <Don't you have any self confidence? Say it clearly!>
  183. [00:27] * [Owen]Cole is disconcerted by the growling fox.
  184. [00:28] <Nameji> o O ( Sentinent... Moving around and reacting to the others hassling it. )
  185. [00:28] <[Owen]Cole> "I'm, I'm trying! This is all new to me too, y'know!"
  186. [00:29] <[Owen]Cole> "My parents caught it somehow. Took them years. Some kind of special Pokeball with science and technology; it's complicated."
  187. [00:29] <Nameji> o O ( Analsys failed. Not a human, must be a pokemon. Friendly. )
  188. [00:30] <[Owen]Cole> "But I guess... they never really knew how to handle it. Analyze it, yeah, write notes on it, I guess..."
  189. [00:30] <Nameji> <....Don't care. Someone will explain later. Komakoma will come back eventually.>
  190. [00:31] <[Owen]Cole> "I started just sort of hanging around it every now and again."
  191. [00:31] * Nameji closes her eyes, quickly falling asleep, spreawled out on her back.
  192. [00:32] <[Owen]Cole> "I don't really know why, but... it just made sense. Like that was the right way to try and understand it, by just knowing it was there and not worrying."
  193. [00:34] <[Owen]Cole> "Ended up making this with my parent's help, too:"
  194. [00:35] <Kirarin> <So you don't try to understand it and just... leave it there?>
  195. [00:35] * [BNS]Komacho stopped running a bit ago and now just stares back at the group, at a loss for how she's going to keep doing this.
  196. [00:35] * [Owen]Cole pulls out some techno-thingy with a keyboard. It looks like science.
  197. [00:35] <[Owen]Cole> "No, no, Kira, that was at first."
  198. [00:36] <Kirarin> <Don't call me using that overly-friendly tone!>
  199. [00:36] <[Owen]Cole> "And anyways, it doesn't really... talk, per se."
  200. [00:36] * Kirarin smack Cole using her tail.
  201. [00:36] <[Owen]Cole> "Ow! Wha? Why'd you do that?"
  202. [00:37] * [Owen]Cole rubs his cheek.
  203. [00:37] <Kirarin> <It's "Miss Kirarin" for you, you silly wimp-guy!>
  204. [00:37] * [BNS]Komacho sees Kirarin hit Cole and suddenly sees red...
  205. [00:38] * [BNS]Komacho charges back towards the group, focused on Kirarin...
  206. [00:38] * Kovacs reaches over and gives Kirarin a slight smack on the back of her head, not strong enough to hurt but enough to get her attention.
  207. [00:38] <[Owen]Cole> "I was just... trying to be friendly..."
  208. [00:38] <Kovacs> <That was wrong of you, Kira! Now I'll call you that too!>
  209. [00:39] <Kirarin> Wau!
  210. [00:39] * Kirarin clutches her head. Probably out of reflex.
  211. [00:42] * [BNS]Komacho suddenly rushes up and tackles Kirarin viciously!
  212. [00:43] * Kovacs draws her hand back in surprise, then looks at the two rocket off with confusion and a smidge of concern.
  213. [00:43] <Kirarin> KYUUUUU!
  214. [00:43] * Kirarin rolls along with the tackling adversary!
  215. [00:44] * Nameji hears the rather loud squeal of a fox, waking up.
  216. [00:44] <Kirarin> <what in the world are you doing you silly musclehead?!>
  217. [00:45] * Nameji glances around quickly to try and get a grasp on what's going on.
  218. [00:45] * [BNS]Komacho takes Kirarin to the ground and then delivers a vicious slap across her face
  219. [00:45] <[BNS]Komacho> <HOW DARE YOU TOUCH COLE!>
  220. [00:45] <Kirarin> ----!!
  221. [00:45] * Kirarin is hit.
  222. [00:45] <Kovacs> <She's off her rocker!>
  223. [00:45] * Nameji finally wakes up after hearing Komacho yelling.
  224. [00:45] <Kirarin> <You---!>
  225. [00:46] * [Owen]Cole is caught in the crossfire and is probably knocked to the ground at some point.
  226. [00:46] * [BNS]Komacho slaps her again
  227. [00:46] <[BNS]Komacho> <ALWAYS SO SELFISH!>
  228. [00:46] <[Owen]Cole> "Oww. Dirt. In my face."
  229. [00:46] <[BNS]Komacho> <YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF!>
  230. [00:46] <Kirarin> KYU!
  231. [00:46] * Kirarin is pinned and in a pinch!
  232. [00:47] * [BNS]Komacho grabs Kirarin by the collar and is about to deliver a knock-out blow...
  233. [00:47] * Nameji slams the ground, causing a medium-sized earthquake beneath Komacho and Kirarin!
  234. [00:47] * Kirarin is now surrounded in FLAAAAAAMES!
  235. [00:48] * [BNS]Komacho ignores the fire, she's lost her sense of reality
  236. [00:48] * Kovacs is knocked to the ground along with Cole, latching onto his head for the duration of the fall. She immediately gets up and looks over at Komacho, looking most disgruntled.
  237. [00:48] * Kirarin is feared!
  238. [00:49] <Kirarin> <Get out of me get out of mee!>
  239. [00:50] <Nameji> o O (Okay... That did absolutely nothing.)
  240. [00:50] * [Owen]Cole crawls away. Supergirls fighting; not a place for a human.
  241. [00:51] * [BNS]Komacho delivers a vicious punch to Kirarin's face, then pulls her fist back for another one!
  242. [00:52] * Nameji quickly rushes over to Komacho, grabs her shoulders from behind and pulls her head back...
  243. [00:52] * Kirarin is speechless, as her puny little nose bleeds like a fountain. Everything spins around in circle. There's stars, everythings red and fuzzy. Feel like throwing. augh.
  244. [00:52] * Nameji used ZEN HEADBUTT!
  245. [00:53] * Nameji headbutts Komacho in the back of her head!
  246. [00:54] * [BNS]Komacho ignores the headbutt and punches Kirarin in the face again!
  247. [00:55] * [BNS]Komacho has completely snapped and just starts to strangle Kirarin...
  248. [00:56] * Kirarin fires fades as she's getting weaker. Blood is the source of power, after all.
  249. [00:56] <Kirarin> *Cough!*
  250. [00:56] <Kirarin> <I... oppose.... against violence...!
  251. [00:56] <Kirarin> >
  252. [00:57] * Kovacs zooms over and stops in Komacho's field of vision, affixing her with her eyes. Having locked eye contact she begins to suggest, strongly, that Komacho should fall into a deep sleep.
  253. [00:58] * [BNS]Komacho slowly begins to give in... her knees buckle... her eyes feel heavy... her grip weakens and soon she falls over, in a deep slumber.
  254. [00:59] * Kirarin watch Cole, who suppose to be helping her, running away. She feels hurt inside.
  255. [01:01] * Kovacs quickly zooms over to Kirarin, dragging her away a meter or two. She looks on with concern, her eyes zooming around from behind her glasses to see how hurt Kira is.
  256. [01:01] * Kirarin is in bloody mess, ow.
  257. [01:01] <Kovacs> <How do you feel, Kira? Can you talk?>
  258. [01:02] <Kirarin> <...Hurt ...my nose... blood...>
  259. [01:02] <Kovacs> <It's okay, she's out. She's out...>
  260. [01:03] * [Owen]Cole sees a lull in the fighting, and a not-cool littlefox.
  261. [01:03] * Nameji takes this chance to haul off the now-unconcious Komacho over away from the rest of the group.
  262. [01:03] <Kovacs> <This is bad... What'll we do? She acts like she's lost it...>
  263. [01:04] <[Owen]Cole> "Doh, this is all my fault..."
  264. [01:04] * Kirarin is crying.
  265. [01:04] <Kirarin> <Why did she... I didn't do anything...>
  266. [01:05] * [Owen]Cole moves back to Kirarin and aids Kovacs in helping her.
  267. [01:05] * Kovacs hugs Kirarin, trying to comfort her.
  268. [01:05] <Kirarin> <It hurts a lot, too... I'm bleeding... a lot...!>
  269. [01:06] <Kovacs> <You'll be okay, you'll be okay. Kira, it'll all be fine. She can't hurt you right now...>
  270. [01:06] * Kirarin steel herself up and stop crying. It's still there, though. just less noticeable.
  271. [01:06] * [BNS]Komacho is lying on the ground next to Kirarin, tears in the corners of her eyes.
  272. [01:07] <Kirarin> <That's why I don't like being with people!>
  273. [01:08] * Kirarin wipe her own face. The blood is all over her.
