So like I mentioned in the midweek channel, I’m reaching out to everyone to get their thoughts and opinions on a variety of things.  Before I get to the more targeted questions, is there anything you want to get off your chest about your own play, the team, the raid, the people, the game, anything?

Being honest, and I mentioned it in the survey you put out post denathrius, I struggled more than I would have liked early in the tier, specifically with damage. It can be pretty easily contributed to being really behind on gear. I suck at pvp, and getting above 213 wasn't really easy for me lol. The only thing i would say about my raid performance this tier that i'm happy about, is I haven't made some of the same consistent mistakes i've made in previous tiers. I've still fucked up, but I feel like i've done a better job of identifying and correcting the mistakes i've made, and repeating them less.
as far as the raid team goes, i feel like this tier has been especially hard on morale, especially with things like the last two weeks. I don't have a solution, but the tension certainly feels real.
But as far as individual people goes, and the game, I'm still having a ton of fun. I've been trying ot hang out in discord more, which is easy to do since im working from home a ton more, and I feel like i'm finally making some connections.

So I think a situation that we're seeing is that its very difficult to not compare you directly to Deswind when it comes to performance. Deswind is obviously a unique player, and his high level of DPS does often come with a cost. So while we don't want you to reach full Deswind levels of focus on DPS, we do think there has to be a closer middle ground where the gap in DPS isn't quite as large in some situations
I asked Pao and Koji to go through your stuff to try and find solutions, and you know how the conference room format works, so I'd expect something along those lines at some point today.
When you mention that you think its been hard on morale, can you elaborate on that a bit for me? thats the real stuff I'm interested in today

while I don't think there's anything particularily wrong with the discussion, it was super obvious they were both very frustrated about the way things were going.
the other stuff is just harder to measure, and its really hard to explain, the best way I can try to elaborate is that there's times we feel like less of a team, and more of just a group of individuals in the same raid instance.

As for the deswind-> me stuff, I did a lot of comparing to me/him from SLG this week, since it was the first time in a while we were both in for the same boss, and a lot of it comes down to him playing better, but some of it was just depressing. Uptime is everything, and i spent half the night running away, and he didnt lol.

Lol yeah. I guess in a sentence, i've been focusing more this tier on "doing the dance" of the fights, vs topping charts, and while I could be completely out to lunch, I feel that mechanically this has been one of my best tiers yet, but damage wise I struggled a lot in the beginning.
and it will go up and down, and des has been a fantastic resource for bouncing ideas off of, and I've reached out to him a lot more this tier than I have in the past, and thats helped a lot.

Our research showed that a large portion of guilds took a week or few off after killing Sire, so I was interested in people's opinions on it

fair, and i can understand, after 2 months of straight prog, jumping into farm can justify a break
I'm mostly impartial, if hte guild wants to take a break i'll be on board. My biggest prio is getting CE before the next tier, as long as that happens, whatever is best for the team as a whole i'm on board with

Na i've just learned to think, before i express my thoughts. usually makes more sense that way lol
i know ya'll are busy af, but other than pao and jake, i dont see you, jesir or koji just hanging out, unless there's somethign else going on

a lot of people are guilty of that though, but thats one of the biggest differences iwth this guild that i've noticed vs others, is that people do alt stuff, keys, whatever, but not many just "hang out"

its not the biggest of deals, we dont all need to be best of friends lol, and up until a couple weeks ago, it was something I was personally abysmal at as well, but just hanging out can help a ton with a lot of hte team building shit. and its not for everyone, but maybe could be encouraged more.
