[21:43] The rattle of chains filled the tunnels, grey and gold catching sight of movement out of the corner of his eyes. The invisible chains launched, closing ahead of the woman as he floated closer, vacant eyes staring her down.

"Name an' where from? Ya farmilar lookin'. Mus be from Dawn, ya?"

[21:47] Meeting the rattling of chains was the clanking of armor that no longer fit properly. With their path obstructed, and not wishing to test how well exactly, the young woman would indeed stop. Their emerald hues glinting from their own blazing aura as they took in the stranger? Looked to familiar for the word.

"Ulyssa, I'm from Dawn ya' just travelin' through the tunnels lookin' for ores and what have ya'."

[21:49] "Ulyssa, huh. From Dawn, so ain't gon slaughter ya. No benefit innit. But in tha' same breath, ya ain't part o' tha' Legion, ya?"

He floated forwards to the girl, his cold gaze remaining. His arms crossed over his armor as maddening whispers filled the air between the sounds of the rattling invisible chains. His expression was morose.

"Why ain't ya join? If ya a magi, got worth in becomin' part o' tha' structure."

[21:53] Tilted their head at the whispers, a little surprised she could hear anything at all. Of course she knew most Occultists where cursed with them, whispers or something like them. Just that she'd never heard them before now. This guy must be really far gone that path.

Without missing a beat she'd offer a smile and just float backwards as they got closer. Knowing full well they didn't want someone like that within reach if they could help it.

"I was lookin' for a Knight ta'squire to but 'den I got into debt and so I'ma tryin' to take care of 'dat."

[21:55] The whispers seemed to hang in the air all around them. The blue eyeball of his staff looked over his shoulder at the girl, where it all stemmed from. They spoke of hate, of blood and murder, and of entertainment as the Paladin floated closer to her. She floated backwards, and in that moment there was a horrid wrenching feeling in the air as the world itself fractured, ripped appart as he slipped through it, appearing right in front of her.

"Debt ta who?"

[22:04] Let out a small involuntary yelp, rationally she understood what had happened. Riftmancy, Litiya had been obsessive over it before she'd met Elisheva. Yet, it wasn't the rational that reacted. Almost reflexively she'd bring her hands up, palms facing the man as if to create a barrier between them. Which was what happened, though she'd not consciously wanted it to happen.

A simple-translucent shield formed between them. Just inches from Ulyssa herself, as it formed her aura blazed brighter. At that time the whisper themselves where shoved away. Vaguely a shimmering form flickered into sense, the monstrous creature there for a moment and then gone.

Ulyssa unaware of these vents taking place would quickly explain her rather embarrassing economic status. Her words rolling together as she went, head bobbing with the motion.

"Well, I sorta hired some guy to mind my shop where I sell Cubemone and Cubemone accessorieces. He said to me, hey whydon't you just pay me all upfront for a few years. Well I said I don't have 'da money and 'den he said 'dats fien we'll set up a loan. An' I said whats 'dat an; he said it's where I can pay without havin'da money ta'pay so I said 'dat sounds good 'den he said ok. Now I'm out uh, ten thousand coins. . ."

[22:05] Aldrah was wandering the caves, looking for resources he could sell, until he came across Sors talking to a girl. Not wanting to interrupt the conversation, Aldrah just stood floating in the corner, waiting for them to finish the conversation.

[22:10] The shield and brightness just bring the occultism to an even more overbearing height. There was danger in his body language. His tone lost all friendliness, instead only become cold.

"Put down tha' shield an' turn down tha' light. I care real lil fer exorcism. If ya ain't turn it down, I'll put tha' light down maself." The tone suggested only force as one of the black gloves rise up, middle finger and thumb together like he was about to snap.

"If ya in debt, tha's reason ta join tha' structure. Payment an' all tha'. Ya will get out o' debt faster, an' establish ya place above sheep an' rabble. Ya got magic. Tha' puts ya status above others.

Ya get it?"

[22:13] After a second or two of hesitation she'd blink and drop the shield. The peace of mind it'd brought wasn't worth the risk of violence. A simple grimace settled upon her features as she listened after that.

"I-I'm sorry wasn't tryin' offend. . . Uh, well if it'll help. I can continue lookin' for a Knight 'dat needs a squire. . . 'Dats how you join ya?"

[22:16] He does not change his expression as he speaks, that stark and hateful gaze baring still down on her.

"Once ya are in tha' Legion, ya can look fer a knight. First, why ain't ya take tha' oath. Any Paladin o' above can make ya take it. Once tha's sorted, then ya can look fer tha' next step."

He drew the staff from his back, the blue eye staring down at Ulyssa.

"Ya swear ta serve Dawn an' forward tha' goal o' Azraelism?"

[22:19] This one was easier, with an ease that came to normalcy the young girl quickly did what could be considered a salute? She was standing straight at-least but clearly had never even seen a military performance or demonstration.

"I swear ta'serve Dawn and forward 'da goals of Azrealism!"

Her expression relaxed as she spoke. This was much steadier ground after all.

[22:22] The salute presented brings a silence as it is watched. Gold and grey linger for moments.

"Ya'll work on ya posture. Got ta learn how ta salute rite. But tha' part o' tha' swears as valid as any.

Ya swear ta obey ya superiors, ta do wha' they say without question? Ta work ta advance ya rank an' strike down those tha'd oppose tha' structure? Ta rule as one o' tha' privileged, as a magi like ya are?"

[22:27] Hesitated briefly at the second half of the oath. She'd never struck down anyone and certainly didn't feel like she should be put in command of anyone. Normally the smart move would be to simply say yes and roll with it. Yet, Ulyssa wasn't exactly the brightest.

"I don't mind obey and keepin'da peace but, uh, should I be rulin' anythin'? I'm not really good at management. . ."

Idly she thought back to being swindled by her own 'employee' and being landed into a massive amount of debt.

"Ya. We are born wit' magic. Man ain't created equal. Those wit' magic are made ta rule over those tha' ain't. It's why we're stronger then 'em. Ain't sayin' try ta become a king o' anything like tha'. But take ya place as one who is higher on tha' ladder, an' take control.

Make tha' weak obey ya. If tha' guy who put ya in debt comes fer it, put him down. Tha' strong ain't suppose ta be ruled by tha' weak. So gon' ask ya 'gain.

Ya ready ta take control, ta take ya spot in tha' structure?"

[22:32] Gave a nod quickly, not being up for more questions or concerns. It seemed like a bad idea and she'd not invite more agitation by doing so.

"I'm ready, I'll take my spot and my control!"

[22:34] Took that opportunity to scurry away, departing back into the cave she'd came from with some passing niceties.

"I'll go do that right now, yes'sum don't gotta worry about me none."
