  1. The floating head went for Link's right shoulder. Each of its sharp fangs sank into his flesh like short blades. He could feel the pain from his flesh being ripped from his body. But without fear, Link endured the pain and cut the head off of Gleeok's body.
  2.
  3. When the body was without its two heads, the one floating in the air crashed to the ground once again. Link fell to his knees in the same way as the floating head. The wound that the floating head had given him was now pouring fresh blood. That his arm had not been chewed off was a miracle in itself.
  4.
  5. Link's face was screwed up in pain as he turned to his fairy companion. "I might have... let things go too far there..."
  6.
  7. "Link!" Fanny cried while making her descent.
  8.
  9. The blood pouring from Link's wound seemed to be taking his consciousness with it, given how spaced out he appeared to be. Link's eyes closed as if he were going to sleep, and he collapsed to the ground. Link was on his way to an early grave.
  10.
  11. Fanny knew of a way to use his life energy to heal him, though she needed pure water in order to do so. By using a spell, she could turn it into a Water of Life and have him drink it to cure his wounds and bring him back to consciousness.

  15. She chanted a spell as the water flowed into the canister. After she had collected enough water, she pulled the canister back to where Link lay.
  16.
  17. "Link! Link!" Fanny called out.
  18.
  19. His eyes stirred. He seemed to be okay. He was still breathing. Fanny pried open his mouth and placed the canister to his lips before pouring the water in.
  20.
  21. After a couple of gulps, Link started to cough violently before adjusting and more receptively drinking the water. Fanny could see the healthy flow of blood return to her companion, signaled by his rosy red, blood-filled cheeks. The blood that had been gushing from his shoulder had stopped, and the pain from his wounds had faded. Link could feel a well of energy pooling in his gut as he slowly sat up.
  22.
  23. "Huh...? What happened?"
  24.
  25. He brushed his hands against his wound only to find unbroken skin. It was as if he had never been attacked by the green dragon that he had just slain. The only sign of an attack was the damaged clothes he wore.
