  1. CR: Same as base creature +1, +2 after level 10.
  2. Type: Creature type changes to dragon with the linnorm subtype. Do not recalculate hit dice, base attack bonus, or saving throws.
  3. Special Qualities and Defenses: The Ancestor's Pride gains darkvision 60 feet; low-light vision; and immunity to sleep, paralysis, and energy of the same type as its breath weapon.
  4. Speed: The Ancestor's Pride gains a burrow speed, equal to twice the base creature's land speed. This burrow speed is halved when moving through solid stone. For the purpose of moving through solid steel this burrow speed functions as 1ft per round.
  5. Special Abilities:
  6. Jump (Ex)
  7. At 1st level, The Ancestor's Pride gains the ability to leap astounding and nearly supernatural distances, emulating a dragon’s ability to fly. The Ancestor's Pride adds his level to all Acrobatic skill checks for jumping. The Ancestor's Pride’s ability to jump with his Acrobatic checks is treated as though he got a running start and has the Run feat, regardless of whether or not he gets a running start. In addition, The Ancestor's Pride may jump as part of a charge action allowing him to ignore difficult terrain for the distance he jumps. The Ancestor's Pride’s maximum height is not affected by his size, allowing very strong, very powerful Ancestor's Pride's to eventually leap higher than their own height.
  8.
  9. Beginning at 5 HD, the DC multiplier for a high jump is reduced by 1, making it a multiplier of 3 rather than 4. This reduction improves by 1 every 5 HD; multiplier of 2 at 10 HD, and multiplier of 1 at 15 HD. The Ancestor's Pride using this ability does not provoke an attack of opportunity unless he passes through a square that is threatened by a flying creature that he is not attacking directly or jumping while adjacent to an enemy creature. If The Ancestor's Pride is hit in this manner, he falls to the ground prone in the square in front of the creature.
  10.
  11. Fist of the Falling Star(Ex)
  12. At 1st level, The Ancestor's Pride has learned the technique of falling from the sky upon his opponents to inflict more damage. As a move action before a melee attack with an unarmed attack or natural weapon, or as part of a charge, The Ancestor's Pride may make an Acrobatics check to jump with a DC equal to his target’s CMD. The DC increases by +2 for each size category larger than the dragoon. If The Ancestor's Pride beats the DC, depending on his Acrobatics roll, he moves forward to make the jump and gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC for one round, a +1 circumstance bonus on that attack roll, and deals an extra 1d6 points of damage. In addition, for every ten The Ancestor's Pride beats the DC, he gains an additional +1 bonus to his AC and the attack roll, and deals an additional 1d6 damage. This additional damage is not multiplied on a critical hit. Using Fist of the Falling Star with the Rondels of Meteoric Force, each attack counts for two hits towards it's charge.
  13.
  14. Breath Weapon: The Ancestor's Pride retains all the special attacks of the base creature and gains a breath weapon usable once per day based on the dragon variety (see below). The breath weapon deals 1d8 hit points of damage per HD possessed by the The Ancestor's Pride (Reflex half; DC 10 + 1/2 creature’s racial HD + creature’s Con modifier). Magma or other qualities that persists after use of a breath weapon, deal 1d6 hit points of damage per 2 HD possessed by The Ancestor's Pride.
  15.
  16. Abilities: +2 Constitution, +4 Charisma
  17.
  18. Drawback: Your pride is such that you cannot decline a direct challenge, and must fight until you or your foe is defeated.
