  1. **in my study, trying on new clothes**
  2.
  3. A faint pulse, more than its gentle stagnation. Again, and again, and again.
  4.
  5. With a sudden absence that leaves your head swimming, the seed nearly vanishes entirely from your mind.
  6.
  7. You catch the faintest glimpse of ivory out of the corner of your eye.
  8.
  9. You tilt your head curiously.
  10.
  11. With the sound of crinkling, shifting paper, a veil-clad ghost stares at you and whispers, "...caused...trouble...Friend...Gurashi..."
  12.
  13. You have emoted: Gurashi reaches up, touching his temple and furrowing his brow in concern... a bit of color out of the corner of his eye draws his attention, and he suddenly stands up straight.
  14.
  15. You stare at a veil-clad ghost, eyes wide.
  16.
  17. LOOK GHOSTY
  18. Clad from head to toe in cascading veils of translucent, bleached silk, this figure has a curving, lithe form that exposes in flashes of ivory ectoplasm and semisolid flesh; the only colour to be found two amber eyes gazing out from its face. Worked with slender traceries of embroidery, the subtle shades of eggshell, alabaster, and similar whites trace her visage in delicate embroidery - the garb enveloping her like a robe, or a gown of curves and cunningly-knotted silks. Floating only a few centimetres from the ground at any given moment, the occasional scent of poppies and figs rises from the air surrounding her, imbuing into whatever it is she deigns to pass over.
  19. A veil-clad ghost has an air of extreme strength.
  20.
  21. Voice soft and clear, you say to a veil-clad ghost, "... o..h - no, no no, no."
  22.
  23. You shake your head.
  24.
  25. A stained glass dreameater caterpillar lantern slowly swings on a long copper chain, indigo light dappling the walls and floor.
  26.
  27. Soft and urgent, you say to a veil-clad ghost, "It is O-K ... you did not cause any trouble...."
  28.
  29. You think to yourself: **at first, a flood of colors - bright pastels, some semblance of life! the seed is O-K, she is O-K - but ... **.
  30.
  31. A veil-clad ghost floats just a few inches off of the ground, and in the faintest depths of her amber eyes you can see something that almost resembles sympathy. She pushes forward, and waves a hand at where the scythe had once hovered in waiting before she places her hand against your cheek; just over the scar with no feeling but a bright shock of cold that instantly warms to a comfortable heat.
  32.
  33. With the sound of crinkling, shifting paper, a veil-clad ghost stares at you and whispers, "...cannot...cause trouble... Ash...sweet, young...cry..."
  34.
  35. You have emoted: Gurashi's gaze follows the hand, breath catching from the cold. "... what...?" He furrows his brow, confused, reaching up to grasp at the hand with his own. "... no - no, really! I wanted to..." His face lights up. "I wanted to help you! And, I asked even before you came, and..."
  36.
  37. You think to yourself: ** ... an uneasy wash of blue-gray ... **.
  38.
  39. Eyes watering, you ask, "... I do not know what to do - what can I do?"
  40.
  41. Your hand passes through the ghost's own, leaving you to clasp your own cheek with uncertainty as you stare up at a veil-clad ghost , who continues to stare down at you with a gentle warmth. The seed grows dimmer and dimmer in your mind, soon crumbling to nothing as she floats down and lingers at eye level.
  42.
  43. You think to yourself: ** .... **.
  44.
  45. You stare at a veil-clad ghost, eyes wide.
  46.
  47. For a moment, bright vermilion hues paint the surroundings, giving the illusion of everything being aflame. Shortly thereafter, a passing cloud obscures the sun and everything is dark once more.
  48.
  49. With the sound of crinkling, shifting paper, a veil-clad ghost stares at you and whispers, "...be...good...do not let...her change...you..." The voice pauses and then continues, "...you would...make...them cry..."
  50.
  51. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a little noise, dropping his hand, clenching it together with the other.
  52.
  53. Weakly, you say, "... am so sorry."
  54.
  55. A veil-clad ghost's hand reaches out and touches at the poppy, rustling it slightly as warmth blooms in the vicinity, then drops down to your shoulder.
  56.
  57. Tears streaming down his face, you say, "If things change - and ..."
  58.
  59. With the sound of crinkling, shifting paper, a veil-clad ghost stares at you and whispers, "...you have done...nothing wrong...but I cannot...put you...or me...in danger...Beloved..."
  60.
  61. You have emoted: Gurashi bites his lower lip, then looks down, nodding hurriedly.
  62.
  63. Looking up again, you ask, "If things change will you be able to come back?? Will you find me again?"
  64.
  65. You think to yourself: **a hopeful flicker of color in an otherwise bleak mindscape**.
  66.
  67. With the sound of crinkling, shifting paper, a veil-clad ghost stares at you and whispers, "...in your heart...you are...one of...us..." The faintest flicker of amused heat, and in your heart you feel a gentle smile on her face even if you cannot see it in her spectral visage, "...I found...you...before..."
  68.
  69. Sniffling, you ask, "...I promise will help you someday, O-K?"
  70.
  71. With the sound of crinkling, shifting paper, a veil-clad ghost stares at you and whispers, "...oranges...I will go...where oranges are..."
  72.
  73. You have emoted: Gurashi wrings his hands together tightly. "...I do not know why you found me but I will do everything that I can. Promise - promise."
  74.
  75. You blink.
  76.
  77. You sniffle softly.
  78.
  79. Wiping his eyes, you ask, "...oranges?"
  80.
  81. The ghost nods once, and then begins to flicker and fade, reappearing around the study here and there one final time as though taking close stock of her surroundings.
  82.
  83. As though she were never here, a veil-clad ghost vanishes abruptly.
  84.
  85. You have emoted: Gurashi stares at the vacant space the ghost once occupied, then slowly lets his gaze drift around the study, furrowing his brow. He folds his arms over his chest, blinking a few times as fresh tears fall down his face. He sniffs and rubs his nose... then covers his face with one hand. Then the other.
  86.
  87. The faintest of flicker, and you hear an echo in your mental space - filling your mouth with the taste of figs and your nose the scent of poppies. "...will always...be a part...of you...of all...Beloved..."
  88.
  89. Great waves crash over one another as they pour in from the west, finally swirling together before solidifying into Tridemon.
  90.
  91. You have emoted: Gurashi says nothing at the voice as it whispers out, then fades to silence. He presses his hands tighter against his face, sniffling, not even registering Tridemon's entrance as what little color remained in the mindscape deepens to a miserable pitch black.
  92.
  93. Tridemon peers about himself unscrupulously.
  94.
  95. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "You alright?"
  96.
  97. The singing of night insects and frogs from the surrounding wetland punctuates the otherwise silent night air.
  98. It is now the 18th of Shanthin, 560 years after the Coming of Estarra.
  99. There are 21 days until the New Moon
  100.
  101. You have emoted: Gurashi jumps with a start, pulling his hands away from his face and giving Tridemon a look. "...y..."
  102.
  103. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... Did something terribly, terribly sad happen again?"
  104.
  105. Tridemon gives Bizirik, the leothin the once-over, eyeing her suspiciously.
  106. Bizirik, the leothin stares blankly at Tridemon. After a moment its tail lifts once then thumps back against the ground with potential delight.
  107.
  108. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Bizirik, the leothin, "Have you been diagnosed with an incurable disease?"
  109.
  110. Bizirik, the leothin makes no noise, tail slapping the ground once.
  111.
  112. Dazed, you say, ".... Miss Sebitti's gone..."
  113.
  114. Tridemon blinks.
  115.
  116. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Gone?"
  117.
  118. Swirling motes of golden sand rip through the aether, only a fist-sized vortex appearing long enough to drop a blackened piece of paper through before vanishing abruptly.
  119.
  120. Tridemon blinks.
  121.
  122. You have emoted: Gurashi reaches up, touching his temple. "... go--" Suddenly, paper.
  123.
  124. "letter75799" an entirely messy, nonsensical letter
  125.
  126. You look about in confusion.
  127.
  128. You scoop up an entirely messy, nonsensical letter.
  129.
  130. You have emoted: Gurashi takes the letter and unfurls it, confused.
  131.
  132. You read what is written on an entirely messy, nonsensical letter:
  133.
  134. ........................................................................
  135. An entirely messy, nonsensical letter is holding:
  136. "cookie248390" a dark chocolate and gold leaf tae'dae cookie
  137.
  138. What was once a sheaf of fine quality paper has been wrinkled and tossed about, apparently, or beaten by the hand of an angry or confused giant. Far too much ink has been used in liberal qualities, splashing over what could pass at an effort to make even a single letter of the Common tongue legible in its attempt. Here and there, whatever device used to pen this letter has clearly punctured the paper, stabbing through viscerally and leaving little room for understanding.
  139. It has 10 months of usefulness left.
  140. It weighs 1 ounce(s).
  141. An entirely messy, nonsensical letter is holding:
  142. "cookie248390" a dark chocolate and gold leaf tae'dae cookie
  143.
  144. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... huh."
  145.
  146. You have emoted: Gurashi takes the cookie from the letter... then slowly looks at the page, suddenly biting his lower lip to refrain from laughing. "...is from Aschwar."
  147.
  148. You have emoted: Gurashi wipes at his eyes furiously, exhaling. "...have no idea what it says."
  149.
  150. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Oh, is it in a language you don't know?"
  151.
  152. You shake your head.
  153.
  154. Voice soft and clear, you say, "...no, it is common..."
  155.
  156. You sniffle softly.
  157.
  158. You have emoted: Gurashi turns away from Tridemon, momentarily drawn away from whatever has just transpired by this new distraction.
  159.
  160. You think to yourself: ** fold... scribe ... **.
  161.
  162. Tridemon tilts his head curiously.
  163.
  164. You carefully inscribe your message onto the inner folds of a singing cicada origami. The magic ink flashes slightly as its glow permeates the origami with its power.
  165.
  166. You have emoted: Gurashi says nothing, working diligently, silently.
  167.
  168. You put a singing cicada origami into a singing cicada origami.
  169.
  170. With a final fold, you close and seal a singing cicada origami, hiding its message deep within the folds.
  171.
  172. You address a singing cicada origami to Mysrai, the Shofet of Abyssal Scales and give it to Bizirik, the leothin. <-- for Aschwar
