DK64 101% FAQs (Wii U VC)

Q: What is required in 101%?
A: 201 Golden Bananas, 40 Banana Medals (which require 75 normal bananas per kong per level), 20 Banana Fairies, 10 Battle Crowns, 8 keys, the Nintendo Coin, and the Rareware Coin. Additionally, the final boss must be defeated, the 101% credits must play, and the file select screen must say 101% after completion of the run.

Q: Why are you using Wii U VC?
A: It's faster.

Q: Why is it 101% and not 100%?
A: Rare likes to add extra percents to the 100% counter for hidden items in Donkey Kong games. In DK64, there is a secret Rareware Golden Banana that adds the extra 1%

Q: What is the world record?
A: 5:37:28 by Connor75. The fastest N64 time is 5:57:09 by TJ.

Q: Why do you go to Caves early?
A: You can buy late-game moves by entering a later level.

Q: Why do you not do Funky Weapons Glitch (aka Intro Story Glitch)?
A: This run is intended to collect everything organically. This is also the reason why duplicating golden bananas is banned.
