Conservatopia won't be as nice or humane a place to live as it possibly could be, and the individuals won't be as happy as they possibly could be as individuals. But it will be cohesive and endure. And they'll be happier collectively in all likelihood

Leftopia will be temporarily an extremely nice and prosperous place to live but it will erode the very characteristics and structures which achieved that

On certain core civilizational issues, the well off and clever are actually probably wrong. Even if their opponents aren't necessarily right for the right reason
