   when you first see yên, you see her as a very cute and friendly person. she comes off as very naive and innocent, always with a smile on her face that still counts as the world's best aegyo. she is the world's biggest and sweetest baby as she is always looking after the other members and interacting with fans as much as possible, asking how their day went and if they are doing well in school. her voice and mannerisms add to the childish innocence she supposedly has, always knowing the right way to talk or the right words to use to pull heart strings. she can be a bit whiny and needy at times, using her young age and appearance to get what she wants for the other members. overall, her public image matches the group's concept so well that people believe that it was built around her. it's almost unbelievable that she is naturally so full of aegyo and be so naive.

  	yên was born into a pretty large family full of boys, her and her mother being the only females in the family. being that she was the youngest and only girl, she grew up a bit spoiled. her brothers would of course tease her but they were always defending her at the snap of her fingers. she knew that her age and innocent appearance gave her leverage so she used it to her advantage at every opportunity. her terrorizing started at very young age, crying when her brothers wouldn't give her what she wanted and telling her mother the boys were bullying her when in reality it was the other way around. while in school she wasn't much better. while she wasn't a bully, she was far from nice when she was out of the teacher's and staff eyes. she would constantly pull pranks, from messing up the water fountain to gluing someone to their chair, she did it all without ever even being suspected. whiles she seemed like the worst person to friends with, she was one of the people with the most friends even though she would prank them 24/7.

	she got into music pretty late in life, her last year of junior high. she was forced to join her school's music club in order to have enough points to graduate, much to her distaste. unlike how she thought it would be, she fell in love with the club since it was much different than other music class she had been it. they included things like rap ( which she lived for ), singing and dancing to all kinds of music including alternative and trap music. she had so much fun in that club that she began to look into a career as a rapper originally as a soloist. when she discovered how popular girl groups were getting in korea, she figured that she would be better off doing that. after minimal convincing, her parents agreed to allow her to audition with a company of her choice. much like you'd expect, they were very proud of her when she did an amazing job rapping a favorite song of hers and impressing everyone.
