  1. For reference:
  2. The last time Diana saw MADISON, she did the girl's makeup and gossiped about how Forrest seems to have a crush on someone, although she has no idea who.
  3. The last time Diana saw FORREST was the easy-bake oven fiasco, where they leave on awkward terms.
  4. The last time Diana saw SEB was Winter Wonderland, where Diana gets some indication that Seb isn't looking forward to the party for unspecified reasons that have less to do with vampire masquerade posturing and more about something only tangentially related. (See: the ex.)
  5. The last time Diana saw YVONNE was the last minute plans where we have the bite scene for the month i guess.
  6.
  7. Diana enters the Christmas Party slightly apprehensive but optimistic. She knows she probably could have asked Forrest for a ride but decides against it.
  8. She sees:
  9. - Madison talking in a group of pretty strangers Di doesn't know, including two adults dragging her into photos or something else that's obviously harmless but embarrassing. They give off really big parent vibes, basically.
  10. - Sebastian with a pretty woman on his arm that Diana's never seen before, Diana either can't get a read on his expression or he seems pretty amicable.
  11. - She doesn't see Forrest or Yvonne.
  12.
  13. Before she gets the chance to start getting antsy about basically being on her own a-la-Halloween (plus the fact that she's pretty sure she sees celebrities here what the fuck??,) the doctor arrives and welcomes her, telling her that Yvonne is dealing with some others currently. Diana's relieved because she knows doc, even if they haven't really had the chance to talk much.
  14.
  15. Yvonne eventually swoops in to welcome her to the party proper, and encourages her to make friendly with everyone since it'd be great networking, but Diana is understandably a little wary of associating with more vampires. Yv tells her not to worry since Everyone Knows Better Than To Cause Trouble Today, and the Doctor just says she isn't wrong. Yvonne tells doc that [randos] were looking for him, and he bids Diana farewell and to hope to see her later that night. Yvonne tells her where the snacks are, etc., and how she's welcome to accompany her as Yv makes her rounds through all the company.
  16.
  17. The amount of mandatory scenes is smaller than Halloween, instead opting for free roam relatively quickly once things are established.
  18.
  19. By going with Yvonne, Diana gets to see whether she spaghettis herself in front of vampires (leading to some options that shape Yvonne's assessment/respect of Di being able to handle social games.) They may accompany the doctor (or just visit) and Diana and the player can get a headstart to January's lore re: the doc is working on something. In general, it can be accomplished just how many fingers Yv (and doc) have in many many pies and the scope of the sort of people Diana's associating with. If you want to go hard mode, have an overlap where she meets Madi's parents without Madi being there (inadvertently embarrass yourself in front of the future GF's parents? valid.)
  20.
  21. After parting with Yvonne or politely declining (in which case she may join later - or even immediately, see: the demo. "Hey Yv I changed my mind actually - variant") there are more choices.
  22.
  23. By looking for Sebastian, she inadvertently bumps into Madora first, who greets her and compliments her on the dress, and they talk a bit about how Diana knows Yvonne (and/or the doc) since she saw Di talking with them earlier, and in general is just friendly and nice. Sebastian ends up popping up, somewhat terse, and Madora just rolls with it and laughs it off, and she introduces herself as being a close friend of Seb's (but nothing more.) They talk a little and Mads can probably allude to some embarrassing stories before she announces she's going to grab a quick bite (or chat with doc), Diana can mention about how this party is surprisingly elite before she goes and Seb can rib her a little over that ("surprisingly?") but if it's after Mads leaves for a bit, Seb and Di talk a bit more (di: "oh my god is that xyz" seb: "if you want an in lmk i made his career" di: "wtf") and with Mads gone, Seb is more apparently a little bit grumpy/weird. Eventualy Madora comes back and Di decides to part before she third wheels (may even wish Seb good luck which just has him ?!??!) Goal: Diana leaves with the assumption that Seb is crushing on Madora (which can be rectified in January, that way she's an ignorant but reasonable fool when she invites the ex to the DND sess she knows she's doing with Seb.)
  24.
  25. By hanging out with Madison, we can check on how she's handling the night herself. She's a bit more skittish/cheery than usual (for what that's worth) and tells Diana that while she doesn't have to worry about it as much as Madi might need to, there's no harm in using the party as an opportunity to make some good connections, similar to Yvonne. They can bond over parents being embarrassing during gatherings, and they can also gossip a little more about (if Madi's seen forrest/whatever) and whatever else. She won't be on her phone playing gacha, but she'll probably share a couple drinks with Di and wishes her luck with whatever's going on. Christmas isn't a very Madi tm event.
  26.
  27. Looking for Forrest locks the player into the rest of the night. She texts him if he's even here, and he responds he is and lets her know/she wanders for a bit and finds him. He apologizes again for how things went down the last time he saw her and she waves it off, and can rib him about cleaning up nicely.
  28.
  29. Since he's a little fidgety, Diana asks if his crush is here half-seriously. Either through omission or stumbling or him saying yes, she finds out that yes, that person -is- there. Diana gets a little Extra as soon as she hears there's romance (which can also be flagged a little with Seb and the Ex) and encourages Forrest go rip the bandaid and confess, both because it's obviously been eating at him for quite some time and it led to the easy bake oven incident being as severe as it was, but also just because she's into that sort of thing.
  30.
  31. She watches Forrest talk to Alex - his body language, the blush, the subtle nuances that suddenly make it all click into place just in time for her to watch the conversation continue - and thus, obviously not go well. She can’t hear any of the words due to distance, but she can see. For a second, it almost seems like the doctor reciprocates. Like, super, super obviously, a leaning in or something and Diana gets to see the expression on doc change. Things don’t go well.
  32. There's no explosions or emotional outbursts or even much emotion shown at all - Forrest bottles it like a champ and laughs it out. The doctor doesn’t seem to buy it, but he waves it off too, and there’s a bit more of talking before they part ways. Diana tries to talk to Forrest, but he politely declines and opts to leave early. Diana has the option to either approach the doctor.
