  1. While I do agree that protein has its place in your diet, especially HGH-X2 Review if you are looking to build muscle, I do not feel that it is necessary to pound 200 plus grams a day just to gain some muscle. In fact, there are numerous studies that show that around 100 grams of protein a day for a 180 lb. male is sufficient to build muscle. I know this goes against what every muscle magazine, muscle head, and muscle supplement company tells you, but it's apparently true.In my experience I usually take in a gram or usually even less of protein per pound of body weight. 140-170 grams per day on average

  3. If you are not taking anabolic steroids, and have done resistance training consistently for around two years or more, you are not going to gain much more muscle than you already have. It won't matter how much protein you take in, gains are going to come slowly. Don't get me wrong, it is possible to keep gaining muscle each year, but it definitely gets harder the bigger that you get.

  5. If you could consistently gain 10 lbs of muscle each year, it would only take ten years of working out for the average male to walk around weighing 280 lbs of solid muscle. Believe me, this doesn't happen, even with steroids. This is why you see so many people in the gym look the same from year to year. It is common knowledge that protein builds muscle as much as carbohydrates give you energy, but in my opinion as well as numerous studies, taking in excessive amounts of protein each day is not needed to build muscle.

  7. Like anything with your body, the way to determine the best muscle building diet for you is to test it out. You can eat more protein for a time period and track your results. Use these results as a gauge and then train without any extra protein for the same amount of time and see what those results are. Depending on how your body reacts, you can then know what works for you, instead of listening to a supplement company pushing to sell you their product or magic pill.
