  1. Tonight, Mickey was not looking forward to his janitor shift at the pier amusement park. He dreaded tonight’s shift ever since his boss talked to him on the phone 2 weeks ago. “Micko,” the boss spoke with his growly smoke plagued voice, “I’m afraid there’s been a change of plans, see?” It was supposed to be Mickey’s week off from work, free time to get away from the noisy hustle and bustle of the park but his coworker Pete suffered a nasty fall at home and was going to be stuck in the hospital for a month. The other workers had to cover his shift and Mickey had the unfortunate case of being stuck with Pete’s shift for one whole week, since everyone else seemed to have the bright idea of having that week off too. “Oh and before I forget,” his boss continued, “Ya gotta clean up that Ferris wheel too. Starting to become a real pig sty. No whinin’ now.”
  2. Yes of course, the damned Ferris wheel. Every park goer loved going to the thing but the workers detested it. It was plagued with numerous issues: the wheel would occasionally refuse to budge which would leave customers stuck there for an hour, doors would never properly shut for some reason and lastly customers had a habit of making an utter mess in each passenger car. But what probably made Mickey personally hate the wheel was its cursed history, particularly passenger cart #5. For some horrid reason, this cart was the sight of many suicides, mobster assassinations, sicknesses etc. And yet it still happened to be the coziest of the all passenger carts since the cushioning on the seats never seemed to waver.
