- [glow=red,2,300]Disciplines[/glow]
- Before we would start talking about how to learn new Disciplines, let us understand what they actually are. Disciplines are the supernatural powers each vampire has, granted automatically upon the Embrace. Each Discipline has its own unique powers, from supernatural strength to the ability to alter another's mind. Even the youngest of the Kindred with a small knowledge of those powers might find himself gaining a great advantage over Mortals or other entities.
- Each clan has its own unique set of in-clan 3 Disciplines (sometimes 4), which would fit the characteristics of the Kindred's clan. Kindred tend to master their in-clan disciplines first, as it comes much more naturally to them, and obviously easier.

- OH GOD THAT WAS HARD
-
- Vampires may acquire more Disciplines aside of the ones they already started with, however at a greater cost. The Kindred has to learn the discipline from a mentor, someone who already has the discipline they would like to acquire. Learning Disciplines outside of your clan would require greater efforts. The mentor shall blood bond the student before the teaching begins (at least Level 1) in order to spread his mystical energy in the veins of the student.
- [glow=red,2,300]The Teaching[/glow]
- Many people ask me what form shall the teaching take, "I mean yeah, so I got blood bonded by my mentor... but how does he actually teach me how to use Dominate?" - The teaching may take any form the teacher would find to be right. By teaching Dominate, for example, the teacher might tell their student to look at them in the eyes, focus their vitae and try to pierce their mind through the mystic power of it.
- Try to be realistic when you're writing your story, most of the teachings might probably focus on how to use the blood in order to perform the very first power of the Discipline.
- * Learning the Discipline further would not require further blood bond, even though it might be able to help. Some mentors might abuse this fact in order to enslave the student.
- * Some Disciplines might be harder to study than others, the difficulty may depend on many factors. For example: How common the discipline is, the clan of the student, or even the nature of the chronicle itself.
- [glow=red,2,300]Systems[/glow]
- So as mentioned above, each clan starts with a set of 3 Disciplines. Those Disciplines would be the easiest for the Kindred to master, and they would be at the lowest experience cost.
- Upon character creation, the Kindred receive 3 Discipline-Freebies which may be spent in any way the player like (1/1/1 recommended). After spending them, the only way to increase the Discipline further would be through Experience or Diablerie.
