    ↳ honestly, chaerin lives up to her nickname of 'CRAZY MAKNAE' without a doubt. she is completely crazy, and probably has more energy than the rest of group combined. she acts as if she's on a permanent sugar high (and you should probably keep her away from sugar), constantly bouncing off the walls and talking a mile of a minute. she means well, honestly, but sometimes she can be a bit much, and is quite a difficult teenager to deal with. she loves messing around with people, and pretending to be innocent afterwards (she'll just bat her eyes innocently, and if you didn't know her, you'd be completely fooled), and is known to stir up trouble when things get a bit boring. she is annoying and fussy, and probably one of the most immature maknaes in the history of kpop. she can never sit still for more than two minutes straight, and people often wonder if she has adhd or something due to the sheer amount of energy she has. she is also very chatty, and is known to ramble on about the most ridiculous things. she is always making jokes, and teasing the older members, and basically being that really annoying younger sibling. she honestly loves aegyo, and literally does it 24/7, despite claiming that she is horrible at it. she is also the type of person to wear her emotions on her sleeve, and cannot keep secrets to save her life. she is a horrible liar, and absolutely cannot pretend to be someone she's not, because sooner or later her true personality will come out again and she'll go back to jumping off the walls. she doe try to tone down her personality around others, in case she scares them away, but she isn't very good at it. however, when you hang around her for long enough, you slowly start to get used to her energetic nature. around her, there is never a boring moment, and she'll never fail to keep you entertained. even though she's sixteen, she lacks a lot of maturity, and probably only has the mental age of a five year old. she is the least punctual person on the planet, and has an uncanny ability to always be late, which is why she can often be seen running around, trying to get to places she should've been twenty minutes ago.

    ↳ chaerin was born in jeju island, to a young couple who'd only just graduated from high school. her parents were both rather surprised to find out they were expecting a baby only shortly after they'd been married. her parents were still in their early twenties when chaerin was born, but despite being young, they never failed to give her enough attention. chaerin's parents were both artists, and frequently worked around the house, leaving them with plenty of time to look after her. her school life was pretty average, but she often had problems concentrating in class, as she preferred to be moving around, and did not like sitting still in a class room. her mother enrolled her in dance lessons when she was seven, in hopes that it would help with some of her extra energy. however, when she hit her teen years, it became clear that she had no intentions in following an academic path, as she had a big interest in performing arts. she later won a scholarship to SEOUL SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS, which is wear she still attends. her parents were slightly disappointed at first, because they had hopes that she would become a lawyer or a doctor, but once they saw how much she loved to perform, they immediately changed their minds, and are now extremely supportive of her. she was accepted into sm entertainment when she was fourteen, and has been training their ever since.
