  1. Hi, Speed boop here, the lucio main that had an in depth argument with someone over whether lucio was a brainless hero and why mercy wasn't. That's not a joke. Seriously, if you want the full story, just ask. To start, I think I have to clarify why this vod, while not as hard to do as ChemLok, is still a bit odd. Me and Mulkrut are about the same sr, and that puts me in a bad position. Due to our relative shared skill level, there are a lot less things to comment on, and less bad habits or big mistakes. If I pointed out every good thing he did, we'd be here for a while. That's the thing about higher ranks, specifically Lucio in higher ranks. It's less about learning new techniques or getting better at something and more about refining and sharpening the skills you already have. So while this might be a lot shorter than others, that doesn't mean I'm holding back. Oh, and this is a scrim, if the video title didn't already give that away.

  3. From the beginning of the round, I can tell a few things. For one, these are good friends, judging by the amount of genuine enjoyment and cohesion you guys seem to have. The other thing is that you know how to wall ride well, which saves me a bunch of time, although there is one issue I have with your wall riding. Finally, I can proudly say that this type of gameplay fits what I would expect of masters. Around a minute into the footage, and it's apparent that you have a good sense of aura usage and are trying to figure out ways to better tackle the enemy. Although you do later go a bit deeper into the enemy team than usually preferred, but that's coming from the guy who plays lucio so deep into the enemy team he could be considered their backline. The loss of the point, while not really your fault, was still a setback. Once you start regrouping, you have a few issues maintaining your hog, and do leave him for no apparent reason. Hogs, especially a lone hog, work well with a lucio by their side. Overall, the gameplay that proceeds is great. The thing is, I can see the practice in the gameplay, the hours behind the many actions. The skill is greatly apparent. My only real gripe is you pushing in way too far above the Orisa around 2:10, which was not only abandoning your team, but leaving for no real cause. The Orisa is usually the last target you want to look for boops on. The attack on the point was fairly good, but then you did something that was extremely refreshing- at 3:10, you dove the ana. You played offensively and aggressive with good timing. As someone who sees a lot of lucios holding back too much, it's great to see someone actually try to go in and to do it in a very smart and well timed manner. For a lot of the point hold after that, many of the same good habits and good use of game sense continue. What I also like is the enjoyment that you and your team are having. They are happy and are having fun, which is good. I'm not going to point out anything more for the round, but there is one thing that I would like to discuss later, but will touch on now. Overall, there was a lack of callouts from you.

  5. Talking about talking, which is confusing just in that context, is kinda hard. Callouts are usually different for each hero, and each hero. For lucio, this is slightly simpler, but not by much. To be simple, say what you are doing, and any information that you deem important. A good example, one that you do, is calling out when you use speed boost. But you should do the same for when you are amping up heals, going in for a boop, if you are attempting to peel for someone( which is another issue on it's own.) etc. Of course, you shouldn't say every action, or else people would be yelling at you to stop telling them which WASD key you are pressing, but you should try to notify them of most of the actions that directly affect them. You are extremely silent during this game, and while your team is definitely making up for that lack of speech, unless this isn't how you play in a normal game, something need to change.

  7. If you couldn't already tell, I'm going to be skipping a lot. I don't want to continue repeating myself. The only real big issue at the beginning is you losing focus and getting lost during the initial team fight. I don't know if I can give any advice, that just happened. I like the willingness to change the comp, but you don't switch since lucio is valuable. Since there isn't anything really to note for the rest of the vod, I think that I should stop and simply sum up what the other issue you have is- peel. You don't really do it, and if you did, you never really did it intentionally. Your usage of boop wasn't that good, and you never attempted to try to peel for any teammates during the game. You need to learn how to use boop more successfully if you want to do better. Boop makes fighting not only the lucio, but anyone on his team a hassle. This is especially important with winston, and tanks in general. You need to learn how to peel, at the very least, attempt it. I can't really comment on anything else. You play well. I hate myself, because this is hard to do when I can't find that many flaws. Not only is doing gameplay like this strenuous, it's boring. I don't know what to say. Speed boop out.
