DIALOGUE 7 (Randy Prozac, Google+, 2014)

I do not know if you will answer, but what is humanity to you? Apparently, by definition it is: "the human race; human beings collectively", or an example, "he praised them for their standards of humanity, care, and dignity" (of course to be humane is relevant to this question as well)... These connotations of morality, I feel, has been programmed out of the collective. Its quality has been branded and mutated into a plasticized simulation of popular culture. It seems that the generalized unconscious sacrifices this genuine conduct for a self serving pathological drive, verging on solipsism. Which all stems from the unhuman environment of ~humanity. I have always questioned this vague contradiction. Does this mass produced roboticized state of perception nullify the assumed majority from the attributing premise of humanity? Is humanity just the accumulation of human vehicles, or the possessors of an evolved sense of sovereign realization and honest compassion? I would think humanity is a key characteristic of the soul, and surely, not all humans have a sense of humanity, whatever it may mean. It seems that the word implies to see as a human is to be empathetic and moral.?

well, if you think human beings becoming trans"human"ist machines is a step forward in evolution, i duno.. maybe it is but the machine parts will be patented technologies that are owned by corporations who pretend to have our best interests in mind, like how they promote this type of site and pawn it off as something fun and useful, when it's really just another form of index for the soft-labour camp. if you were a machine and had the most high tech sensors, enhanced touch and scent, but it wasn't organic, is there a difference? we are biological machines but the point i would make is about the control aspect, if your brain is made by apple, i would expect it to have the same restrictions and limitations that an iphone has when trying to interface with certain data formats, their proprietary software runs by their rules, not yours or mine. anything outside those parameters is omitted and restricted. if none of that was applicable, and we were 'free' to develop our synthetic software brains, then i guess the differences would be a matter of perspective. if androids develop awareness, made by humans in factories, will they be given rights? i doubt that, animals aren't even given rights and they are organic beings with emotions. the term humanity, to me implies organic, corporeal, birthed by a biological mother not assembled and transplanted. an enhanced 'human', a brain in a synthetic machine, you could call it human but it would have one of those little trademarks next to it. i would also define 'human' by an ability to feel empathy, compassion and so on. as you mentioned. all living beings have the capacity to feel pain, maybe that is the defining perspective on 'humanity'. but if machines can love, then who is to say? i know i have dragged machines into it but i think it is an appropriate analogy, society is designed for a streamlined mechanical compartmentalized self, to think and feel is detrimental to success in today's idiot system. if the roboticized masses state of perception is unable to care about it's own components, then it's already headed for the scrap heap. it was born dead. or to be used up and discarded by other more psychopathic components of it's collective self. which is again, destined to fail. in my view anyway. humanity did not survive the ages by being selfish. we helped each other. anyways, you feel it has been programmed out of us, morality and such.. and i would mostly agree, that people have been so overloaded and indoctrinated with an ever increasing level of sociopathic emanations, activities.. with no way to really maneuver around it.. unless you guard your mind. and what child is taught to do that? their parents place them in front of the mind control device from birth then the school system takes over and teaches them to not think critically and then it 's just a downhill spiral from there, into robotization.. psychologically and then literally in the near future. however, i think there will always be people who care and think and feel and are "human", those who will see through the lies of the system. at least until the nanotech in the vaccinations erase those things entirely, or whatever genetic modding that fixes the 'problem'. and you might think that is a paranoid joke, but it's not. technology is far more advanced than the masses are allowed to know. and anyways.. i just joined up for the funny viral cat videos so where are they?!?
love is what makes us human and defines what humanity is in my eyes, those that are unable to understand that are just experiencing technical difficulties or were malformed to begin with, but they're still human and part of the whole. if technology advances to the point where we are no longer flesh and pheromone, or even metal and plastic.. if those things remain, then i would say we are still human in essence, and it would just be a matter of semantics.?
but it is not a simple issue either, because even though i may sound like i am idealizing, i've seen things i wish i hadn't.. atrocities committed against each other, and those things can alter the context of everything, especially when they happen in your life or to people you love.. are those that commit the atrocities human? yeah they are.. so what does that say? i'm not sure.. i still maintain what i said but when faced with brutal realities.. it can make it very difficult to not give in and just let hate and vengeance consume you.. because it's so much easier to let that happen than to overcome it. there are just many variables involved.?

That is agreeable, it is the essence that I am concerned with. The question relies on an immeasurable spectrum of the human experience, and what it is; all while considering the extent of what is detracted, if truly possible. What level of synthetic properties defeat the notion of human, are there hypothetical variables to void human origin, etc... I suppose that the complimentary trait is just humanity's ego.

The chemistry of experiences ultimately form the functions that determine archetypes, which are sold via entertainment, etc, or built by hand so to speak. Corporate personalities do come with a benefits plan though. The trans-humanist vision is terribly naive; having our corporate technology as master- and servant, such an equilibrium is dangerously unstable. This common consensus of the future is painted by the spewing of propaganda, implanting images, and leaving words and concepts that reveal the synopsis of these current times as impossible fiction. Definitions are warped at a subconscious level with repetitive association to products, the commercialization of the word revolution, for example. Love is also a casualty, now, to this consumer society, it is just an excuse to purchase. This elaborate webbing of control is likely humanity's magnum opus.

thanks, my secret fantasy is now a reality.. i got a funny cat video! now i am normal! anyways..archetypes as entertainment, surreal phantasms and lucid waking dreamstates, my brain just rejects it now.. i went to a 3d movie a year or so ago just to experience it.. (IRON MAN 3) it took me more than a day to recover.. for my perceptions to normalize. before the propaganda started, there was pre-propaganda, one was a commercial that showed happy couples and free spirited people cutting loose and living life, all on surveillance cameras, and the initial point was that surveillance cameras capture the joy of life, and the secondary point was drink coca cola. the dependence on technology is a precursor to the next dark ages, putting all the eggs in one basket so to speak. then what if the master hard drive fails? or is wiped out by some electromagnetic cause? then it's all gone? there are ancient seals written in stone, there are even books that are centuries old, it really does concern me that all of the information could be potentially lost. and your average person (myself included) could barely even make a fire without a lighter or matches, let alone a proper spear or make-shift 'home'. yeh, love is now fused with corporate objects, and if you don't buy and give the objects then "you don't love me?" that is a total and deliberate perversion, plus it is also interwoven with religious or spiritual aspects, so pretty much as deep and defiling of everything that has been held 'sacred', in the name of mindless or calculated greed, for money.. sheets of polymer.. i duno if your currency is made of plastic, ours is.. those of us that still 'use' it. polymer that is fused with the basic needs, like food and shelter. another perversion and defilement. a pavlovian trick. think of how the subconscious must interpret that.. this inedible useless thing, currency or even less.. electronic numerals on a screen.. equated to the survival instincts.. a full belly and a warm bed.. manipulation and the perversion of ideals may well be the greatest accomplishment of the human race, since like you said, it is being done on such an advanced and high level, but i don't think that the majority of people are born to be so conniving and demented, they are manipulated into supporting it, but pointing that out doesn't change what it is. panem et circenses. perhaps it will stand as the human races most noteworthy achievement, that or it's toppling.?

Fantastic, glad I could help-

Fascinating what is considered humor; I think the whole comedic persona of pets is a souvenir of childhood- not that there is anything terribly wrong with that. But on the subject of comedy, (and it is interesting what can be passed as such with a laugh track) ridicule has become synonymous with it. The category has largely devolved to a passive aggressive behavior, slowly amplified throughout the years.

Likewise; this system is not only fragile but often hilariously unjust to all other mediums of disseminating information, including art. The modern label of education has become an offensive on the creative logical mind, and has been reduced to the regurgitation of state mandated truths. We value trivia, not wisdom; people are just looking for things to talk about without having to think.

Precisely that, a pavlovian trick; same goes for the illusory economy of social currency/status; often, self worth equates to this, instilling a deep fear of being alone as if it wasn't the sentient basis of existence. Its importance has never been as amplified too, with the assistance of rampant materialism and sexuality, through the absorption of tampered information called entertainment.

I agree entirely; humans were not intended to be as we typically are, there is something unhuman about slaving away in a cubicle; brains are a commodity in this age. This path is inherent to the stability of civilization, but factoring in the power of knowledge- and the results of hoarding its value; the collapse is inevitable.?

The inevitable collapse may be the only hope left, faced with what i see coming, which is a "borg" existence, the internet itself as a conditioning for such a state of non-being, a neurotic hive electronically and chemically held in servitude. we are connected through our mutual disconnection from what was once our natural social way of life, but now it is merely regulated downtime spent in a social illusion that has nothing to do with the betterment of the whole or actual bonding, at least not in the sense that it once would have been through mutual survival, society is just an internment facility now, or an indoor/outdoor mental institution. or how about 'abusement park'?

it is no wonder there are so many neurosis and social dysfunctions, we aren't meant to live this way, it is making us emotionally and psychologically ill. as the pressures and side effects of it increase, so do the profits for the drug corporations as they dole out more and more pills to fog perception and take the edge off the human animal trying to exist in an unnatural controlled state. it will implode eventually, into what i don't know. a vegetable society of automatons i suppose. just biological batteries for the system until the robots take over then the culling will begin.

i don't wish to sound so negative, and i do have hope that something will change, but those are things that i see as an obvious 'progression' of the current direction things are going. none of which is by accident.

concerning laugh tracks, i've used them in the wrong places at times, and that always got laughs, i guess people were laughing at the fact that it wasn't funny but there was "laughing", but hmm... i guess to make that point twice would be redundant. insert laugh track here please ( or actually, insert is halfway through that.)

i used to just watch people watch tv, after a while the laughing would cease and it would just be a trance state while the mechanical laughing continued, at this point the laugh track was laughing AT them, at least from my point of view.

animals have dignity and get embarrassed, i never liked laughing at them, the people laughing are the stupid ones, not the animal. people seem so devoid of empathy when it comes to things like that. is that really a superior intellect to view them as amusing playthings? to me that seems juvenile, but maybe we are hard-wired to interpret facial expressions and actions in a certain way. why would it be considered cute for a kitten to behave a certain way but not cute if some sort of weird spider did the same thing?

the hoarding of knowledge is how the power is maintained, if it was shared then the power would be lost, to me this means that technologies exist that (to us) would appear as magic, and the technologies that are shared with us are already antiquated and obsolete.?

Certainly;  the exponential venues of interconnectivity/social media and the decrease of corporate owners for these venues is the genesis of such an authoritative hive mind. As augmented reality, alternate reality is introduced, there is potential to go beyond the forecast of human comprehension. Consider these interfaces, Facebook for reference, digitally attached to an individual's facial imprint, or mandatory implant for security reasons; whatever... The human body will be but an avatar seeking validation of others in an artificial interactive construct. Soon enough they will have ratings to summarize character for the appeasement of passivity in an informational grandeur. Alternate realities will soon become dominant realities; and people will sink further into delusion... Speaking of delusion, the population has been bred to believe in this dream of achievable equality; which implies the dismantling of duality, and without contrast there is no beauty. We have a culture of ugliness- analyzation is spent on empty expressions of hedonism; and the mask of beauty; technique and time, is used to sell products; enforcing consumerist ideology.

Yes, most modern inclinations are the result of the bastardization of survival instincts; I would think that the primitive routes are the most exploited; fear sinks deep: fear of not being socially accepted is hammered into just about all demographics of programming, and babies are watching TV now; staring at hyper-vibrant color palettes and primitive cartoon shapes. The need to procreate tends to smother broad systematic awareness as well, 'abusement park' that is very funny.

Laughing is just a responsive instinct; we can laugh in anger, happiness, nervousness, crying can occasionally sound like laughing. Perhaps it originates in uncertainty not solely what we label as humor... I am really not sure.

TV is the temple of decadent modernity; time spent killing time for the sake of a belief in its abundance. "I know you need those alpha waves"...

It is likely that due to natural conditioning, today's humans form a social hierarchy in the animal kingdom as well; varying based on culture. I would think the relations are almost identical. We gravitate to certain aesthetics based on pertaining qualities we know, tied into compatibility/aggression, and going back to the topic of survival instinct.

Yes, the control of knowledge is essential to sedating chaos, and magic is just a mode of technology we do not understand. "is that really a superior intellect to view them as amusing playthings" heh, computing is just another amusing plaything to most, after all, it is supported by separate organisms- therefore it interacts with our dynamic and is bound to reflect and abide by our logic. Maybe the confines of identity are not terribly important; or at least likened to the specificity of cell membranes. There is an inversion of what we consider to be of merit these days, and we love our toys.  ?

if humans lost their individual notion of 'self' naturally i could accept that as maybe something beneficial in ways, but to me that would be an advanced stage of awareness that manifested collectively as a maturation of a species, but the loss of self that occurs through the pathological addiction to escapism and other methods like substance abuses, it is the loss of self that happens through lobotomy. on a mass scale, which is de-evolution, degeneration.

yeah we love our toys but when is enough enough? when does it go too far into no longer present in life? may as well not exist.. and for all i know maybe those are the early childish tantrums of what will become a maturation and step forward.. but somehow i don't think so.. to me is just seems like someone with the upper hand using the basic human drives against the human for the purposes of control. we love our toys and then we make nuclear weapons like drive through hamburgers, we make weapons so advanced they seem like they are from a science fiction film, we kill electronic effigies by the thousands in 'games'.. but to the subconscious is it? we laugh when the cartoon gets hurt or when the electronic opponent gets killed in some absurd way but who could expose themselves to such things if they saw it.. smelled it in reality..?

and maybe the sociopathic state will just become fully integrated and death will mean nothing.. and we'll return to the days of the colosseum..back into barbarism, but online. cheering or voting for the death of another human.. in idiotic competition.

anyways..even the most strong willed human can be manipulated and broken by the denial of food and water.. the needs of the body will take over.. the body is a survival machine and it controls us, not vice versa.. the brain powers the machine and it controls itself and has systems running that we are clueless even exist within ourselves.. somewhere in the midst of all that is the concept of the " I "..

fear of being rejected by the tribe or peers was once a life or death scenario.. i can see why it is so engrained in us still.. to be cast out in the past surely would have been essentially a death sentence.

in tragedy and comedy.. and this is amusing for me.. the word tragedy, from latin 'tragoedia', translates as song of the goat, or goat-song.. originating from greek tragedy.. which consisted of several male actors in masks all playing numerous parts.. it was speculated that either a goat was sacrificed in honor of a god or the goat was a reward for the entertainment..always reminded me of goat worship.. which had a tragic form of comedy in it's own way..if only for the fact that it existed.  laughter is a whole study unto itself to me. why don't animals laugh? or do they? i would if i was them, i would laugh at us.

i remember watching a video clip of a man who was so proud that he chopped off the head of a poisonous snake but the head was still alive and bit him and he died.

life is finite.. it seems like it could never end but it does.. and much sooner than you would think as time moves forward.
to waste it.. is a crime to me.. even though maybe everything is a waste of time from one perspective or another.

an artist i appreciate once said that the most creative thing he could do was nothing. he recorded probably over 100 albums and then killed himself.
