  2.
  3. ## World Map
  4. Three seperate islands: Fibernia, Caldonia, and Dia. All of these islands are rich in minerals, and mining is the economic backbone. The largest mine located in Eburacum, in north of Fibernia. Roy leads his forces toward Eburacum hoping to learn more about the bandits. To get to Eburacum, one must pass a castle located nearby. Roy sends a messenger to Lady Nora, lord of the castle, to request permission to pass through his lands. Because Roy and company are in Isles on Etruria's request, they don't anticipate trouble in gaining Nora's support. But not everything is as simple as it appears...

  11. What can you tell me about\n
  12. that spy from the resistance?|
  13.
  14. \s[2]
  15. You mean the dancer called Larum?\n
  16. We threw her in the dungeon, ma'am.|
  17.
  18. \s[5]
  19. Has she told you anything?|
  20.
  21. \s[2]
  22. No. She keeps insisting that she's\n
  23. not affiliated with the resistance.|
  24.
  25. \s[5]\e[5|1]
  26. A liar, is she? Perhaps I\n
  27. should interrogate her myself...|

  43. There is a messenger here\n
  44. from the Lycian Army.|
  45.
  46. \s[5]
  47. Ah, the army that was sent\n
  48. to clean up the bandits on\n
  49. the Isles. What do they want?|
  50.
  51. \s[2]
  52. It seems that they want permission\n
  53. to pass through to Eburacum.|
  54.
  55. \s[6]
  56. What should we do, Lady Nora?|\n
  57. We were ordered to get rid of\n
  58. the Lycian Army, but we're still\n
  59. dealing with the Resistance Army.|
  60.
  61. \s[5]
  62. ... \e[5|1]If we impress Lord Arcard, he may see\n
  63. fit to reward us. Deploy the mercenaries\n

  65. We'll deal with the Resistance once\n
  66. we we're through with them!|
  67.
  68. \s[2]
  69. Yes, ma'am. What about the messenger?|
  70.
  71. \s[5]
  72. Kill them.|
  73.
  74. \s[2]
  75. Understood.|

  79. Use it to defeat the Lycian Army\n
  80. before they even reach you.|\e[5|0]\n
  81. Just make sure the enemy\n
  82. doesn't get hold of it!|

  91. Hello! HELLO!!!|
  92. \s[-2]
  93.
  94. \s[6]\b[6|2]
  95. This is so frustrating!|\b[6|0]\n
  96. I'm telling you, I don't\n
  97. have anything to do with\n
  98. any stupid Resistance Army!|\n
  99. ... Why isn't this working?|
  100. \s[-2]
  101.
  102. \f[1|SoldierM-1]\fc[1|Etruria]\name[1|Soldier]\m[1|2]\w[5]
  103. \s[2]
  104. Oh, give it a rest! Someone\n
  105. already sold you out, LARUM.|
  106.
  107. \s[6]
  108. Ack! What!? Who... why!?|
  109.
  110. \s[2]
  111. Couldn't tell you, but we\n
  112. already know who you are.|\n
  113. So you might as well spill it.|
  114.
  115. \s[6]\m[6|6]
  116. Hold on! You're trying to trick\n
  117. me into giving you information!\n
  118. Hah! I'm not that stupid! Nice try!|
  119.
  120. \s[2]
  121. ...? Believe what you want.\n
  122. We'll be back for you later.|
  123. \s[-2]

  139. \g[Mountains]
  140. \f[2|Roy]\f[5|Merlinus]
  141. \s[5]
  142. Lord Roy, soldiers are flowing\n
  143. out from all over the place!|
  144.
  145. \s[2]
  146. What? Are there bandits around here?|
  147.
  148. \s[5]
  149. No, they seem to be heading\n
  150. towards us, actually. Hold on!|\n
  151. It looks like more are coming...\n
  152. from the castle?|
  153.
  154. \s[2]
  155. The castle? ...What about the messenger?|
  156.
  157. \s[5]\b[5|2]
  158. He hasn't returned...\b[5|0]\n
  159. Which may mean the worst...|
  160.
  161. \s[2]
  162. They haven't returned?!\e[2|2]I\n
  163. don't understand; why would\n
  164. Lady Nora attack us?|
  165.
  166. \s[5]
  167. The enemy draws near...\n
  168. Lord Roy, what are your orders?|
  169.
  170. \s[2]
  171. ... I guess we have no choice but to\n
  172. fight.\e[2|0] We might learn something if\n
  173. we can reach the castle.|
  174.
  175. \s[5]
  176. A rather... gruesome way to obtain\n
  177. information, but one we are forced into.|
  178.
  179. \s[2]
  180. All right, storm the castle, but\n
  181. have mercy! Some of their soldiers\n
  182. may be willing to listen to reason.|
  183.
  184. ## Pirate Scene
  185. \g[Beach]
  186. \f[1|PirateM-1]\fc[1|Bandit]\name[1|Pirate]
  187. \m[1|2]\w[5]
  188. \s[2]
  189. Huh? A battle...? I was hopin'\n
  190. to get some shut eye... damn.|\n
  191. Ah well, this is the best chance\n
  192. to raid the villages.|
  193. \s[-2]
  194.
  195. \w[16]
  196.
  197. \r[2]
  198. \s[2]
  199. ... I really don't feel like it, though.|
  200. \s[-2]

  202. ## Turn 5 Event – Geese & Villager
  203. \g[Village]
  204. \f[5|Geese]\f[2|Villager_TravelerF]
  205. \s[2]
  206. Geese... You're really leaving?|
  207.
  208. \s[5]
  209. Of course I am! The lord of that\n
  210. castle killed my mates. I won't\n
  211. let their deaths be unavenged.|
  212.
  213. \s[2]
  214. You mean that crew that\n
  215. was always with you...|
  216.
  217. \s[5]
  218. Yeah... They were taken to the mines\n
  219. and told that they would be given work.|\n
  220. But they were all worked like slaves\n
  221. until they... died.|
  222.
  223. \s[2]
  224. ... ... ...|
  225.
  226. \s[5]\b[5|2]
  227. Maybe they weren't the brightest bunch,\b[5|0]\n
  228. but they were good people... \e[5|2]And\n
  229. they were killed... just like that...!|
  230.
  231. \s[2]
  232. Do you intend to avenge them on your own?|
  233.
  234. \s[5]
  235. I don't see any other volunteers.\n
  236. Is there something wrong with that?|
  237.
  238. \s[2]
  239. No... But I thought you were going\n
  240. to go back to your merchant business.|
  241.
  242. \s[5]
  243. Yeah, well, I've got bigger problems now...\n
  244. Once my mates get their revenge, and\n
  245. once the war subsides, maybe I will.|
  246.
  247. \s[2]\b[2|1]
  248. ...We won't forget you, Geese.\b[2|0] You\n
  249. and your crew risked your lives to\n
  250. get us food and supplies.|\b[2|1]\n
  251. If you ever need anything, we'll be here.|
  252.
  253. \r[5]\s[5]
  254. ... Maybe I'll take you up on that,\n
  255. if I'm still alive.\b[5|2] ...Thanks.|
  256. \s[-2]
  257.
  258.
  259.
  260. ## Gonzales Scene
  261. \f[2|Nora]
  262. \s[2]
  263. Gonzalez! You brute, where are you?!|
  264. \s[-2]
  265.
  266. \w[16]
  267.
  268. \f[6|Gonzalez]
  269. \s[6]
  270. Here... I here...|
  271.
  272. \s[2]
  273. There's a village to the north,\n
  274. right along the mountain.\n
  275. Do you understand?|
  276.
  277. \s[6]
  278. Understand.|
  279. \s[-2]
  280.
  281. \s[2]
  282. It may be a resistance base.\n
  283. I want you to go and burn it\n
  284. to the ground, village and all.|
  285.
  286. \s[6]
  287. Village and all...|
  288.
  289. \s[2]
  290. Good. You understand.|\n
  291. This is the only use I have for a\n
  292. lump such as you. Now get going, you\n
  293. halfwit, before you forget your orders.|
  294.
  295. \s[6]
  296. I...I...|
  297. \s[2]
  298.
  299. \m[2|3]\w[5]
  300.
  301. \s[3]
  302. Forget how to speak? Are\n
  303. you trying to say something?|
  304.
  305. \s[6]
  306. N-no...|
  307.
  308. \s[3]
  309. Then leave, you unsightly beast!|
  310. \s[-2]
  311.
  312. \m[6|6]\w[5]\f[6|nil]
  313. \f[6|None]\name[6|Gonzalez]
  314. \s[6]
  315. S-sorry!|
  316. \s[-2]
  317.
  318. \w[32]
  319.
  320. \s[3]\b[3|2]
  321. Such a monstrous face, and yet such\n
  322. a needlessly compassionate heart.|\b[3|0]\n
  323. He will learn the value of/n
  324. destroying a village firsthand!|
  325. \s[-2]
  326.
  327. ## Reinforcement Scene
  328. \g[Fortress]
  329. \f[2|SoldierM-1]\fc[2|Western]\name[2|Soldier]
  330. \f[1|SoldierM-0]\fc[1|Western]\name[1|Soldier]
  331. \f[5|FighterM-1]\fc[5|Western]\name[5|Soldier]
  332. \s[5]
  333. It's not looking great out there...\n
  334. Come on, we gotta back up our allies!|
  335.
  336. \s[2]
  337. We'll ambush them at the gates.|
  338. \s[-2]
  339.
  340. ## Talk Geese Roy
  341. \g[Beach]
  342. \f[2|Roy]
  343. \s[2]
  344. Er... Excuse me.|
  345. \s[-2]
  346.
  347. \f[5|Geese]
  348. \s[5]
  349. Yeah? What? You got something\n
  350. to say to me, kid?|
  351.
  352. \s[2]
  353. I want to ask you why you're\n
  354. fighting against the soldiers.|
  355.
  356. \s[5]
  357. ... Who wants to know?|
  358.
  359. \s[2]
  360. Roy, leader of the Lycian Army.\n
  361. We're here on behalf of Etruria--|
  362.
  363. \s[5]\e[5|2]
  364. You're with Etruria?! Then you're\n
  365. the enemy. Get ready to die!|
  366. \s[-2]
  367.
  368. \m[2|2]\w[5]
  369. \s[2]
  370. Slow down! We're fighting\n
  371. the castle's troops too!|
  372.
  373. \s[5]\e[5|0]
  374. And yet Etruria sent you?\n
  375. I don't understand.|
  376.
  377. \s[2]
  378. I don't either. We were sent by\n
  379. Etruria to get rid of bandits\n
  380. here, but something's strange.|
  381.
  382. \s[5]
  383. ...You say you're fighting\n
  384. the castle's troops, right?\n
  385. I'm for hire, if you'll take me.|
  386.
  387. \s[2]
  388. What?|
  389. \s[-2]
  390.
  391. \event
  392.
  393. \s[5]
  394. I'm a seafaring man, so I know both\n
  395. the land and sea around the Isles.|\n
  396. You look a bit lost, so I could\n
  397. be a good guide for you.|
  398.
  399. \s[2]
  400. That would help, but why?|
  401.
  402. \s[5]
  403. I want to help with your mission.|\b[5|2]\n
  404. To be honest, I'm a pirate, so I'm\n
  405. probably the type you were sent to get\n
  406. rid of. But I only go after the rich.|\b[5|0]\n
  407. They have more than their fair share anyway.|
  408.
  409. \s[2]
  410. ... That doesn't exactly make it right...|
  411.
  412. \s[5]
  413. It's not right for them to horde their\n
  414. wealth and let others starve either!\n
  415. I give my spoils away, they don't.|
  416.
  417. \s[2]
  418. I think I understand your line\n
  419. of thinking... I... have no place\n
  420. to judge your actions.|
  421.
  422. \s[5]
  423. That's right!|
  424.
  425. \s[2]\e[2|1]
  426. Well then, if you'll join us,\n
  427. we're pleased to have you.|\n
  428. We don't know this area at all,\n
  429. so it's been difficult thus far.|
  430.
  431. \s[5]\e[5|1]
  432. Sounds like we have a deal!\n
  433. Leave it to me!|
  434. \s[-2]
  435.
  436. \f[2|nil]
  437. \w[16]
  438. \e[5|0]
  439.
  440. \event
  441.
  442. \s[5]\b[5|2]
  443. ...This is it, lads. Can you taste it?|\e[5|2]\b[5|0]\n
  444. You'll have your vengeance. And after\n
  445. you do, I might just tag along with\n
  446. this Roy fellow for a while...|
  447. \s[-2]
  448.
  449. ## Talk Lilina Gonzales
  450. \g[Mountains]
  451. \f[1|Lilina]\m[1|2]\w[5]
  452. \s[2]
  453. Excuse me!|
  454. \s[-2]
  455.
  456. \f[5|Gonzalez]\m[5|6]
  457. \s[6]\m[6|6]
  458. W-what you doing?! I am enemy!|
  459.
  460. \s[2]\b[2|2]
  461. I know...\b[2|0] But there's such a\n
  462. look of sorrow in your eyes.|
  463. \s[-2]
  464.
  465. \s[6]
  466. ...There is a village near\n
  467. mountain. You know?|
  468.
  469. \s[2]
  470. Yes, I saw it.|
  471.
  472. \s[6]
  473. Tell people escape. I have\n
  474. order. Destroy village. I...|
  475.
  476. \s[2]\m[2|2]
  477. What? Don't! The villagers are innocent!|
  478.
  479. \s[6]\b[6|2]
  480. No. It order. I must.|
  481.
  482. \s[2]
  483. It sounds to me like you should leave\n
  484. the person who gave you that order.|
  485.
  486. \s[6]\b[6|0]
  487. Leave?|
  488. \s[-2]
  489.
  490. \event
  491.
  492. \s[2]
  493. Yes! You can fight with us.\n
  494. We're protecting the villagers.|
  495.
  496. \s[6]\b[6|2]
  497. No... I monster... People mean\n
  498. to me... People throw stones...|\r[6]\n
  499. People say "Go away!"... "You\n
  500. a monster!"... Not human...|
  501. \s[-2]
  502.
  503. \s[2]\e[2|3]
  504. That's horrible! Of course you're human!|/n
  505. You're a very kind-hearted man. I can tell.|/n
  506. Please, come with us. Don't be afraid.|
  507.
  508. \s[6]\r[6]\m[6|6]
  509. Me afraid? I never afraid!\n
  510. Everyone afraid of ME! I not afraid!|
  511. \s[-2]
  512.
  513. \m[2|3]\e[3|0]
  514. \s[3]
  515. No. You ARE afraid. You're afraid\n
  516. that people will throw stones and\n
  517. call you a monster.|
  518.
  519. \s[6]
  520. ... ... ...|
  521.
  522. \s[3]\e[3|1]
  523. But, you don't have to be afraid of us.|\n
  524. Everyone in our army is nice. They won't do\n
  525. that to you. Be brave... Take that first step,\n
  526. and you'll never have to be afraid again.|
  527.
  528. \s[#]
  529. ... Okay...|

  533. \g[Village]
  534. \f[2|Visitor]\f[5|Villager_TravelerM]
  535. \s[5]
  536. I'm worried about Larum. I hope she's\n
  537. all right. She smuggled us weapons\n
  538. so we could defend ourselves.|\n
  539. Even when we begged her to hide, she\n
  540. refused and kept helping us. Here,\n
  541. take this axe that she brought us.|\n
  542. It's a strange one... It's strong\n
  543. against swords, but weak against lances!|\n
  544. I'd gladly trade it for her safety,\n

  551. \s[5]
  552. Geese? What are you doing back?|
  553.
  554. \s[2]
  555. I joined up with these people.\n
  556. They're fighting against Lady\n
  557. Nora's forces, so we're allies.|
  558.
  559. \s[5]
  560. Well, I'm worried about Larum.|
  561.
  562. \s[2]
  563. Who's that?|
  564.
  565. \s[5]
  566. One of the locals. I hope she's\n
  567. all right. She smuggled us weapons\n
  568. so we could defend ourselves.|
  569.
  570. \s[2]
  571. Huh, sounds like she's more than\n
  572. just a local. She must be part of\n
  573. that Resistance I keep hearing about.|
  574.
  575. \s[5]
  576. ... Maybe, but keep that to yourself.|\n
  577. Even when we begged her to hide, she\n
  578. refused and kept helping us. Here,\n
  579. take this axe that she brought us.|\n
  580. It's a strange one... It's strong\n
  581. against swords, but weak against lances!|\n
  582. I'd gladly trade it for her safety,\n
  583. though, so please, take it and help her.|
  584.

  595. when they were young.|\n
  596. Maybe if you spoke to some of them,\n

  599.
  600. ## Vs Nora
  601. \f[1|Nora]
  602. \s[1]

  614.
  615. \s[1]
  616. I won't say anything to you\n

  631. No... People are... innocent.\n
  632. I don't want to hurt... anyone.|
  633.
  634. \s[1]
  635. Oh, shut up, you ugly freak.\n
  636. Do as I say! Or I will leave\n

  651. \s[1]
  652. I'm sorry? Who are you exactly?|
  653.
  654. \s[6]
  655. You killed my brothers! Sent\n
  656. them to the mines... to die!|
  657.
  658. \s[1]\e[1|1]
  659. My dear, I have sent so many\n

  661. you will have to be more specific.|
  662.
  663. \s[6]\m[6|6]
