  1. Hi *redacted*,
  2.
  3. First of all, I'd just like to say how bitterly disappointed I was with the sales process I went through yesterday. Taking my son with me, turned out to be one of the single biggest mistakes I've ever made in my life. He would not sit still, and often times would leave my sight which stressed me and made me feel even more pressured into just doing whatever I was advised to do by the sales person, in this case, Jim.
  4.
  5. At no point was I made aware of Queensland consumer law with respect to new car purchases, and I felt pressured into paying a deposit, and signing the sales contract. At no point was I advised that the deposit was non refundable, or anything to that extent. I was not asked to read and fully understand the contract before signing, I was just asked to sign, and I felt pressured into doing so.

  7. When I approached von Bibra, I had the understanding that there was a 1.5% factory finance on offer, and that the MSRRP of a vehicle, was in fact negotiable. Given these two assumptions, I felt that a new Honda Jazz was an affordable and practical option. I was working with figures in my mind of 1.5% on potentially around $15,500 (or thereabouts).

  9. What ended up happening is I was arm twisted into paying $20,070, at an interest rate, repayment amount and a term which hasn't even been disclosed to me on any of the paperwork that I have received.
  10.
  11. I verbally stated that I would only accept von Bibra's in house finance, if it was better than any other finance available to me from alternate sources. I was assured that this would be the case. How can this be if I don't even know what the details are?
  12.
  13. It is on these grounds, that I respectfully ask that my deposit be refunded as a gesture of goodwill. As the finance has not been organised yet, and the ordering of the vehicle and the delivery date was subject to that being finalised, I am hoping that the inconvenience caused is negligible.
  14.
  15. Respectfully,
  16.
  17. *redacted*
