  1. Instead of using out-dated techniques such as coupons, we would send redeemable codes via text message and email. With these codes, customers will be able to obtain free donuts. After collecting eight, they will receive a dozen. This keeps the customers involved, whilst giving them a great deal on purchases. This will influence customers to return; thus building customer loyalty, and maintaining or possibly increasing sales. We would also offer free donut holes to those who purchase coffee. This idea would be implemented to help compete with dunkin donuts, and attract some of their regular customers.
  2. As far as publicity goes, we would use inexpensive local techniques to create a positive image for our company. We chose to use local techniques because they are proven to be more efficient. Consumers feel more like individuals rather than being reached out to as a group. Methods such as visiting schools on career day, starting customer loyalty programs, and becoming eco-friendly by “going green” are a few possibilities. From what I’ve been told, dozens of donuts are wasted every night at Krispy Kreme. We would ensure that donuts are NOT wasted at the end of the night, and are given to a local shelter. Making these actions publically known would be crucial. However, our main focus will be on keeping the general public updated with upcoming discounts and deals via Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. We chose these three websites because they are used every day by BILLIONS of people, and feedback is immediate. Posting charitable videos on YouTube will capture the audience’s trust and contribute to building a better image. Posting statuses or updates on Facebook and Twitter will allow us to hear the public’s perspective and possibly even take suggestions to improve our products and/or company.
  3. “Krispy Kreme” is already a household name. With this being said, we don’t feel the need to put as much into raising awareness of our company. Instead, we plan to focus the majority of our efforts toward reminding the public of our products, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
