  170. Cabalists: Laws Ii
  171.
  172.
  173.
  174. These Laws apply to all Cabalists absolutely and unconditionally. Under
  175. no circumstance are they to be bent, modified without approval, ignored,
  176. abused or otherwise manipulated or falsely interpreted for benefit or
  177. for harm - for without Laws, there is nothing. Refusal to comply with
  178. the Laws stated in this document will be considered an act of treason to
  179. the Cabal.
  180.
  181. SECTION IV: CABAL BEHAIVOUR AND NOVICES
  182. SECTION V: CABAL SECRECY LAW

  185. SECTION IV: CABAL BEHAVIOUR AND NOVICES
  186. ---------------------------------------
  187.
  188. All Cabalists are expected to behave in a manner befitting of a Cabal
  189. scholar. The following guidelines are in place to define such behaviour,
  190. and no exceptions are entertained.
  191.
  192. [A] Behaviour of Disciples and Probates.
  193.
  194. [A1] IF YOU CAN'T WORK THE DOOR, YOU MUST BE ESCORTED INTO THE GUILDHALL.
  195.
  196. ~~~~~
  197. {A1a} Cabalists may be allowed in the Guildhall without being
  198. accompanied; this is true only if they figure out the key to opening the
  199. door by themselves.
  200.
  201. {A1b} No Cabalist who knows the key is to tell it to a Disciple.
  202. ~~~~~
  203.
  204. [A2]
  205. Disciples are allowed to provoke, initiate or otherwise incite physical
  206. conflict with any other person outside of the Arena, but risk probation
  207. or out-guilding if the reason is invalid, unreasonable, or detrimental
  208. to the image of the Guild. If in doubt, don't do it.
  209.
  210. ~~~~~
  211. {A2a} When under attack, Disciples are encouraged to use lethal force to
  212. defend themselves.
  213.
  214. {A2b} Note that it is wiser to flee and seek help from a more
  215. experienced combatant in the Cabal.
  216. ~~~~~
  217.
  218. [A3]
  219. All Disciples should endeavour to achieve full-membership as soon as
  220. possible, and preferably, by all means possible.

  224.
  225. [B1]
  226. No Cabalist that is not a member of the Conduit's council shall attempt
  227. to represent the Cabal to the general public, act in the Cabal's name,

  229.
  230. [B2]
  231. No Cabalist shall be publicly witnessed to be under the effects of drugs
  232. or alcohol.
  233.
  234. ^^^Potentially find some way of wording 'just don't be a tit in public'.
  235.
  236. [B4]
  237. No Cabalist shall murder another Cabalist, unless it is by mutual
  238. consent, and not in a location where such an action will be illegal
  239. under another set of laws.
  240.
  241. [B5]
  242. No Cabalist shall steal from another Cabalist.
  243.
  244. [B6]
  245. No Cabalist shall fake or imply the title of a Guild-rank higher than
  246. their current Guild-rank. All Cabalists are required to act as their
  247. Guild-rank dictates, as dictated under Section III of this document.
  248.
  249.
  250. ----------------------------
  251. SECTION V: CABAL SECRECY LAW
  252. ----------------------------
  253.
  254. The Cabal Secrecy Law is a Law that binds all members of the Cabal, from
  255. Disciples to the Conduit, to the protection of the Knowledge of the
  256. Cabal's inner workings. There can be no exceptions to this Law at any
  257. time, under any circumstance.
  258.
  259. Note that "Cabalists" refer to Guilded-Cabalists. Those who do not hold
  260. any rank within the Guild is to be considered just another Necromancer.
  261. The only Cabal is the Guild; the Cabal doesn't recognize any who are not
  262. of the Guild, no matter their affiliation.
  263.
  264. ^^^Consider rephrasing this to say that if you've taken the oath you better keep your trap shut regardless of whether you're guilded or not. Currently, implied that you can blab if you're outside the guild, which is technically true but conceptually troubling.
  265.
  266.
  267. [I]
  268. No member of the Cabal will speak of the Cabal's understanding of the
  269. arts of Necromancy, Domination and Numerology to a non-Cabalist, even if
  270. the non-Cabalist is also a Necromancer or Dominator.
  271.
  272. [II]
  273. No member of the Cabal will transmit anything from any of the Cabal's
  274. newsboards to a non-Cabalist.
  275.
  276. [III]
  277. No member of the Cabal will speak of any of the research projects
  278. currently being undertaken by the Cabal.
  279.
  280. [IV]
  281. No member of the Cabal will remove or copy a book from the Cabal's
  282. Library with the intention of showing it to a non-Cabalist, or adding it
  283. to a non-Cabal Library.
  284.
  285. [V]
  286. No member of the Cabal will divulge the contents of any of the Cabal's
  287. secret meetings to a non-Cabalist, for any reason.
  288.
  289. [VI]
  290. No member of the Cabal will describe the inner structure of the Cabal
  291. leadership, or of any of the Cabal's subservient clans, to a
  292. non-Cabalist, other than what the Conduit has decided to reveal for
  293. political reasons.
  294.
  295. [VII]
  296. No member of the Cabal will bring any non-Cabalist into the main
  297. Guildhall, for any reason. <<There have been exceptions to this one, see: allowing syssin into the hall for the revival of Elene, allowing Internaetum into the ritual chamber to be made into an azudim. Consider rephrasing to make it the Conduit's call. If there is a problem with this decision (precedent: Elene allowing questionable individuals in toward the end of her term) then obviously action has to be taken but that comes under the council/whole guild sort of thing.
