- SECTION II: CABAL LEADERSHIP
- ----------------------------
- [A] Authority of the Conduit/Council of Yi
- [A1]
- The Conduit of Knowledge is the representative of the Cabal. The
- Conduit's words are absolute and are to be obeyed at all times, unless
- obedience will require an act of treason to the Cabal. The Conduit may
- change the Laws of the Cabal. The Conduit may waive the Laws of the
- Cabal temporarily, in the case of an emergency threatening the survival
- of the Cabal.
- [A2]
- The Conduit may call a general meeting at any time. Only the direst of
- circumstances should excuse any Cabalist from this meeting.
- [A3]
- The Conduit may appoint any Cabalist as a Secretary.
- ~~~~~
- {A3a} A Secretary is considered a Leader of the Cabal, and the orders of
- a Secretary concerning the duties delegated to the Secretary is to be
- obeyed like that of the Conduit.
- {A3b} A Secretary's orders may only be countermanded by the Conduit.
- ~~~~~
- [A4]
- An order given by the Council of Yi, with a majority vote of at least
- two-thirds of the Council of Yi, is considered as absolute as the
- Conduit's authority. (Refer to [A1])
- ~~~~~
- {A4a} The Conduit reserves the right to veto any decision made by the
- Council of Yi.
- ~~~~~

- Disciple or Cabalist at their own discretion; the Disciple or Cabalist
- will then be put under probation, with Guild-favours suspended until
- parole.

- least two years, except in dire circumstances or something.
- ----------------------------------------
- SECTION III: CABAL RANKS AND PRIVILEGES
- ----------------------------------------
- All members of the Cabal are to treat with respect those with a higher
- Guild-rank than themselves. Disrespect can and will be punished at the
- discretion of the offended. Cabalists on probation will still be treated
- with the same respect as their station requires, except all their
- authority and privileges are suspended until parole.
- All members of the Cabal are required to obey the orders of those who
- are of a higher Guild-rank than themselves, unless otherwise stated
- below. The authority is progressive, meaning, you retain all the
- authority of your previous rank and gain your new authority as you
- progress through the ranks.
- While authority within the Cabal is considered permanent, abuse of
- authority will lead to probation and thus suspension of said authority.
- [I]
- Unenlightened, Seekers of the Cabal and Disciples of the Spheres (Rank 1
- ~ 3) are the novices and trainees of the Cabal.
- [II]
- Students of Chaos and Order (Ranks 4 ~ 5) are full-members of the Cabal
- undergoing their own, personal studies. They are granted limited
- independence for their progress.
- [III]
- ANY CABALISTS ABOVE (Rank 6) are those who have proven themselves
- as productive and worthy members of the Cabal.
- ----------------------------------------
- SECTION IV: CABAL MASTERS AND OUR SKILLS
- ----------------------------------------
- all applicants for
- apprenticeship will be directed to the council. Anyone found just training
- someone will be drawn and quartered and set on fire or whatever.
- >>set on TWO fires.
- Cabalists: Laws Ii
- These Laws apply to all Cabalists absolutely and unconditionally. Under
- no circumstance are they to be bent, modified without approval, ignored,
- abused or otherwise manipulated or falsely interpreted for benefit or
- for harm - for without Laws, there is nothing. Refusal to comply with
- the Laws stated in this document will be considered an act of treason to
- the Cabal.
- SECTION IV: CABAL BEHAIVOUR AND NOVICES
- SECTION V: CABAL SECRECY LAW
- ---------------------------------------
- SECTION IV: CABAL BEHAVIOUR AND NOVICES
- ---------------------------------------
- All Cabalists are expected to behave in a manner befitting of a Cabal
- scholar. The following guidelines are in place to define such behaviour,
- and no exceptions are entertained.
- [A] Behaviour of Disciples and Probates.
- [A1] IF YOU CAN'T WORK THE DOOR, YOU MUST BE ESCORTED INTO THE GUILDHALL.
- ~~~~~
- {A1a} Cabalists may be allowed in the Guildhall without being
- accompanied; this is true only if they figure out the key to opening the
- door by themselves.
- {A1b} No Cabalist who knows the key is to tell it to a Disciple.
- ~~~~~
- [A2]
- Disciples are allowed to provoke, initiate or otherwise incite physical
- conflict with any other person outside of the Arena, but risk probation
- or out-guilding if the reason is invalid, unreasonable, or detrimental
- to the image of the Guild. If in doubt, don't do it.
- ~~~~~
- {A2a} When under attack, Disciples are encouraged to use lethal force to
- defend themselves.
- {A2b} Note that it is wiser to flee and seek help from a more
- experienced combatant in the Cabal.
- ~~~~~
- [A3]
- All Disciples should endeavour to achieve full-membership as soon as
- possible, and preferably, by all means possible.
- [B] Behaviour of Cabalists in general
- [B1]
- No Cabalist that is not a member of the Conduit's council shall attempt
- to represent the Cabal to the general public, act in the Cabal's name,
- or take on duties that are the realm of the Conduit's Council.
- [B2]
- No Cabalist shall be publicly witnessed to be under the effects of drugs
- or alcohol.
- ^^^Potentially find some way of wording 'just don't be a tit in public'.
- [B4]
- No Cabalist shall murder another Cabalist, unless it is by mutual
- consent, and not in a location where such an action will be illegal
- under another set of laws.
- [B5]
- No Cabalist shall steal from another Cabalist.
- [B6]
- No Cabalist shall fake or imply the title of a Guild-rank higher than
- their current Guild-rank. All Cabalists are required to act as their
- Guild-rank dictates, as dictated under Section III of this document.
- ----------------------------
- SECTION V: CABAL SECRECY LAW
- ----------------------------
- The Cabal Secrecy Law is a Law that binds all members of the Cabal, from
- Disciples to the Conduit, to the protection of the Knowledge of the
- Cabal's inner workings. There can be no exceptions to this Law at any
- time, under any circumstance.
- Note that "Cabalists" refer to Guilded-Cabalists. Those who do not hold
- any rank within the Guild is to be considered just another Necromancer.
- The only Cabal is the Guild; the Cabal doesn't recognize any who are not
- of the Guild, no matter their affiliation.
- ^^^Consider rephrasing this to say that if you've taken the oath you better keep your trap shut regardless of whether you're guilded or not. Currently, implied that you can blab if you're outside the guild, which is technically true but conceptually troubling.
- [I]
- No member of the Cabal will speak of the Cabal's understanding of the
- arts of Necromancy, Domination and Numerology to a non-Cabalist, even if
- the non-Cabalist is also a Necromancer or Dominator.
- [II]
- No member of the Cabal will transmit anything from any of the Cabal's
- newsboards to a non-Cabalist.
- [III]
- No member of the Cabal will speak of any of the research projects
- currently being undertaken by the Cabal.
- [IV]
- No member of the Cabal will remove or copy a book from the Cabal's
- Library with the intention of showing it to a non-Cabalist, or adding it
- to a non-Cabal Library.
- [V]
- No member of the Cabal will divulge the contents of any of the Cabal's
- secret meetings to a non-Cabalist, for any reason.
- [VI]
- No member of the Cabal will describe the inner structure of the Cabal
- leadership, or of any of the Cabal's subservient clans, to a
- non-Cabalist, other than what the Conduit has decided to reveal for
- political reasons.
- [VII]
- No member of the Cabal will bring any non-Cabalist into the main
- Guildhall, for any reason. <<There have been exceptions to this one, see: allowing syssin into the hall for the revival of Elene, allowing Internaetum into the ritual chamber to be made into an azudim. Consider rephrasing to make it the Conduit's call. If there is a problem with this decision (precedent: Elene allowing questionable individuals in toward the end of her term) then obviously action has to be taken but that comes under the council/whole guild sort of thing.
