- Hello!
- I have a 30 year old female who has been experiencing so called Tidal Fevers for the past 5 years. These fevers are internal in nature (sense of heat, no increased body temperature) are accompanied with brain fog and fatigue. They last from 1 hour to several months at their worst. Can be daily or remit for a few months. They are sometimes accompanied with sinus infection and congestion. Aggravated with cold temperatures, stress including exercise and gluten. More recent has had 'heart' pain, stabbing yet dull and constant for 5 days.
- Multiple food and environmental sensitivities that will aggravate constipation (food only) and fatigue. History of international travel (Haiti), recreational drug use ('molly'). Menses every 2.5 months, irregular with significant emotional PMS.
- On my differential I have Lyme disease, chronic fungal infection/candida, GI parasite. I am feeling like I am missing something and lacking direction for treatment. Any guidance or bright idea would be welcome!

- HI Erica,
- Check out the archives and recent posts on EDS and also histamine intolerance. I've had a few patients recently where we confirmed these as part of their main issue and cause.

- You can check for relapsing fever - Borrelia miyamotoi - through Igenex or MDL Labs. I recommend putting that in the ddx
