- Three-kanji names
- All characters having three-kanji names are almost always referred to by them or the first syllable is treated as a "surname" while the last two syllables are treated as a "given name."
- The only exception is Tekkisen in M01, as the first kanji in his name is connected to the second one by the means of ッ, but he's always referred to by the full name, so it's probably a mononym or a title.
- Ban Gunha 萬軍破 バングンハ referred to as "Gunha-dono" numerous times
- Betsu Tengai 蔑天骸 ベツテンガイ referred to as "Tengai-sama" by Ryoumi in S01E02 and "Tengai" by Tanhi in S01E07
- Ha Ougyoku 霸王玉 ハオウギョク referred to as "Ougyoku-dono" by Rin Setsua in S03E05
- Haku Youkou 伯陽侯 ハクヨウコウ always referred to as "Haku Youkou"

- Ki Tentei 棄天帝 キテンテイ final boss in M01, never referred to
- Ken San'un 捲殘雲 ケンサンウン called "San'un" by Fukan and Ryouga numerous times, the apostrophe is because of the Hepburn's way of distinguishing ヌン (nun) from ンウン (n'un)

- All characters having two kanji-names are always referred to by it, no reason to separate it.
- One might argue "Tanhi" and "Tankou" should be separated with "Tan" being their clan name, but Tanhi is always referred to as "Tanhi" by everyone, even her brother who should be calling her by her given name, so the "Tan" part should be treated as a clan-referring part of their mononymic given names.

- Choufuu 嘲風 チョウフウ name most probably a mononym since she's royalty (just like Japanese imperial family right now)
