[Paradise] - The Crusade

[Crusade History]
Long before Humans ever left Earth, a Single Government was established to monitor all other Sub-serving Governments. This Government was known as ‘The Crusade’ and was headed by a leader group of Three Individuals who would then confer with and dictate to those below them.

When Earth became absolutely uninhabitable, The Crusade switched from being a Peaceful Governmental Body to a Militarized Force on a mass scale. Resources and Active Bodies were seized to help finish the ‘Celestial Voyage Project’, a mass-scale Evacuation of the Majority of Remaining Humans and the development of Crystorage ‘Seeds’ in which to store Genetic Materials and Sequencing to help perpetuate Humankind on future Colonies.

While this was known as being a Horriffic Time in Human History, The Crusade would lose all of its negative associations by Omission; the Detailed History Archives they affixed their ‘CityArk’ Starships with would leave out the last 50 Years of Human History before the Celestial Voyage and essentially wipe the memories from Humans entirely by the time the next Colonies were established. Only the barest whispers and hushed secrets about The Crusade’s seedy past still remain.

For all others, The Crusade acts as a Unified Government and Militia for Humankind. They are seen as the Nurturers and the Guardians, and it is considered Glorious to grow up and become a Crusader.

[Crusade Training and Pseudopsionics]
Crusaders re trained from a young age (12 or 13) for Combat in whatever field of expertise they show the most promise in.

At the age of 16, IF they qualify for the procedure, they may be granted their Pseudopsionics. These Pseudopsionics will take a different form in any person who shows the Genetic Sequencing necessary for the Process to take hold. While it may appear as a Boost in Strength for one person, it may appear as a set of semi-ethereal flying Fists to be utilized in Combat for others.

Deployment happens at Age 18 (at the earliest) and typically has Crusaders put on Starships and moved to wherever they would be the most Useful. There has been a recent Surge of Crusaders moving to Paradise under Orders secret even to themselves.

This Higher Ranks of Crusaders all have individual and complex Titles, none of which are Public Knowledge or even known by low-ranking Crusaders.

Pseudopsionics are mostly Physical Based, though there may (in rare cases) be Pseudopsionics who have more Mental-based Psionics:
-Laser Beams
-Kinesis (Objects, Fire/Pyro, Water/Hydro, Electro)
-Phantom 'Hands' that are controlled by the user that can be used for attacking
-Mild Levitation (5-10 Ft in the air)
-BEAST MODE / Berserking / Temporary Strength Enhancements (*a positive roll modifier followed by a negative like Highblood Rage)

[Modern Day Crusaders]

The Militaristic Advances of The Crusade has seemingly slowed to a lazy crawl. While Training is still intense and regimental, people who find themselves in the Crusade’s Employ rarely see the heat of Active Battle. Instead, Crusaders are a general ‘Guard’ of Human Embassys and Residences, sometimes even being employed as a Private Guard for a High-Ranking or Rich Individual.

While there are still Crusaders who are deployed to Active Colonization Projects for both the Human and Trollian Empires, most Crusaders live almost normal lives on their Colony and with friends and family. A Modern Crusader will simply be a Highly Trained Individual who may or may not be wearing their Military Uniform, who may be deployed into Active Duty at any time.

Modern Crusaders take orders from both The Crusade and Her Imperious Condescension, though some ‘Crusade Purists’ refuse to obey Command from, or even work alongside, Trollian Forces.

A Crusader will carry a Standard-Issue Lightrifle that is capable of both Less Lethal Firing (Taser Rounds, Pellet Rounds) and Lethal Firing (High-Caliber ‘Light’ Ammunition that can cut through most materials). If they fire their gun, Crusade HQ will know about it and deploy either Human Law Enforcement or Trollian Drones to check on the situation.
