- “It certainly is, Vomit Projector,” Hammerspace growls. “You have all come here to meet your doom!” And with that, he tosses a briefcase sized metal box from his jacket. It clanks to the grating at our feet as he screams “Vortex, now!” Instantly, a super villain I’ve never seen before (Vortex, I assume) flashes into existence behind Hammerspace. He grabs the baron and the two of them vanish into thin air.
- “It’s a trap!” says Admiral Ackbar.
- “Dammit, Hammerspace,” screams the Avenger as she leaps for the case. “Bandit, is this what I think it is?”
- “It’s a Russian suitcase nuke,” responds the Bandit. “RA-115, 6 kiloton yield. I can disarm it, but I need the case open.”
- “Done,” says the Scarlet Avenger as she tears the locked metal case open with her hands. Even a few superheroes flinch. Frankly, I’m amazed no one shit their pants.
- The Black Bandit goes to work on the device and his hands move like Carlos Santana’s across the neck of a fine Gibson guitar. He disarms the bomb quickly and when he’s done he spins the open case around so everyone can see the timer frozen with only three seconds to detonation.
