In the spring of 1976, Cyril was born to a family of two parents, Caroline and Matthew Ozyrel, that would eventually split up when the young boy would turn two. The divorce was violent, and the fights common up until the point of separation. Such violence reached a peak when Caroline smacked Matthew while he was holding two year old Cyril. In the following divorce, Caroline would receive parenting rights over Cyril regardless, with bi-yearly visiting rights by Matthew. Following the divorce, baby Cyril would move in with his mother in efficient housing by Roxton Falls, Quebec, Canada.

To insure a good future for Cyril and to maintain current life, Caroline secured two jobs while also taking classes in post-secondary education. Enamored by the effort put forth by Caroline, a young woman by the name of Jade became enamored with Caroline. The relationship between Jade and Caroline would not ascend completely until Cyril was six years old, where Jade and Caroline made plans to enter a relationship, regardless of same sex legality legislature.

Without the financial benefits provided by marriage, Cyril's family suffered financially, though it never became a large factor of Cyril's life, and in fact, Cyril appreciated the sensitivity and individuality of his parents, not that this appreciation would be fully developed until Cyril would become older.

In school, Cyril often performed well in sciences and biology, as the subjects seemed to be appeal to his own personal interests. Specifically, the psychology of men before himself always became an interesting topic of study. Technology, math, and literature classes always seemed to escape the same motivation however, and those grades suffered because of it. Socially, Cyril often seemed to hang around the fringe of social circles, as the boy found that being alone was preferable to the company of others. People that chose to spoke to Cyril found him rather accommodating.

As the age of puberty rolled around, Cyril had collected a close, small circle of friends that he would talk to, to pass time at school between classes. Even though the group was socially awkward, everyone in the group would manage to get along with each other for the time that they spent together. Fortunately, this rarely meant that those in that circle of friends would rarely visit, and Cyril could pander to his introversion.

These introverted tendencies became even stronger around that unusual age of puberty. Those that would touch Cyril would activate his latent powers, and the flood of new biological perceptions afforded by that power would both frighten and intrigue the boy. Afraid of possibly harming someone, Cyril strayed away from the social circle he once hung out with. As a substitute, the teenager began hiding in Nintendo games and comics instead of facing reality.

It didn't take long for Cyril to become accustomed to the limits of his new powers, as they were almost more like a tangible and controllable sense more than an independent force. Worried that Cyril had become a social pariah, isolated from the world, the teenager's parents were more than thrilled when Cyril chose to enroll in academic programmes for first aid and nursing.

At the time, Cyril found more interest in video game design and comic art design, but the opportunities afforded by his powers needed to be explored. In little time, Cyril was reunited with his passion in biology.
