  1. The exodus of Yokai ilk migrated north, venturing through the scape to ravage campsites and miniscule outposts in their wake--
  2. None were alloted the opportunity of survival amongst their populace; Every living soul, from avian to bipedal personage was to be consumed. The Yokai Pack had grown strong, returning for their normal grounds behind their new leader: A defector from Azeris' pack.
  3.
  4. Xerves stood tall, having grown few feet since his last appearance before mere humans. Ravenous indulgence had rewarded him the new height of 15 feet, with boistered muscularity to match. A hunky mass of dull gray brushed through the forestry, staining the air with the hiss of rustled trees and paradigm of shattered branched that were defied their peace with his shifting presence.
  5.
  6. "A structure looms in the distance; Let us storm in, and relish in the blood of human scum within. Leave, no survivors!" He commanded, answered with the united cries and screeches of lesser kindred in compliance-
  7. They charged, assaulted the ambience of the rain of stomping feet against the soil, rumbling at the earth and trailing up a faint cloud of dust.
  8.
  9. The closed door of the structure was slammed open with explicit ease when tested against the might of dozens of lesser beasts, shattering the wood and victimizing its inhabitants to those whom made it inside. The pack leader stood by the household, poking his head for the window on its second floor, attempting to spot any hiding residents that eluded his swarm...
  10.
  11. The attack went on flawlessly, the scream and despair of humans resonated through the air, the metallic smell of their blood watering Xerves' mouth as he awaited for the results of his attack.
  12. "Bring them, to me!" He ordered, back turned to the wilderness that south of the scenario-- Oblivious to immediate newcomers.
  13. (Xerves)
  14.
  15. The utterly blood-curdling screams and cries of humanly creatures in the distance was alluring, in some sort of unholy manner, to those of Azeris' descendance; their existence continued forth for the sole purpose of traumatizing the likes of humanity and devouring their weakest. The consumption of Yokai flesh was merely a side portion of that very same goal - to say that the beastial demon-things purposed themselves for anything other than sheer, undeniable carnage would be naught but laughably silly. Whatever the case, however, this is only to say that those of the towering, grey-skinned goliath's ilk were inherently drawn to the trailing scents of gored human flesh. Their march forth was... with far more description. The trunks of trees so tall so as to rival the Gigai himself in sheer height or pass beyond were toppled by the crowd of a dozen-or-so Yokai so loosely bound to Azeris' command.
  16.
  17. Racing forward did they rush, clawed feet and arms alike flailing in practically any direction with the sole intent of causing more accidental destruction; vegetation was thusly sliced, the bark of trees cut to rended shreds and the grasses below torn free of their bondage to release hunks of rock and ground-to-dust earth into the air. Dust swelled atop the Bygonegrove as their presence rampaged forth, plowing down anything that might stand obstructively in their path - all with the single purpose of getting closer to the fabled sensations of sliced-apart meat. Seconds would see the pack closer; minutes would see them immediately upon the edge of the scene, the many-feet-tall physique of Azeris standing tall against both potential prey and potential foes. He had been the truly infuriated member of the squadron's rushing march and his tracks across the Grove would last for an age and a half if not disturbed by some other influence, stamped deep into every patch of loose dirt and otherwise.
  18.
  19. A potentially boundless telepathic call was urged from the depths of the mind of the Gigai, a similarly audible growl forcing itself from his grey-hued gullet. "What brings you here?", he practically screamed, a bellowing roar quelled but not fully so; it waited for signs of battle. The figure of the opposing Giga Yokai lied within the house's confines, shaded with darkness and shadow - beyond Azeris' view, yet surely not for long. His own physique leaned inward to make his call far more pronounced. "I repeat - what brings you here, swine?"
  20. (Azeris)
  21.
  22. The initial call from an alien source, catching true to the Yokai's mentality brought the house raid to a cease--
  23. The voice was vaguely familiar, perhaps a strong reminiscent of the past that haunted him from a former stage of life? Was this mere an encounter from his youth: A preluding, inane existence? Before he was open to the opportunity of evolution; Before he grew aware of a greater purpose beyond simple obedience...
  24. It drew a snarl upon his visage, but not his fullest attention until it called unto him twofold.
  25.
  26. A gurgle aroused from his gullet, birthing a guttural rumble from the beast's form-- It lashed over to face the source, setting irritated gems of sanguine unto a once-superior pack leader: Azeris. The voice and appearance was vaguely familar to him, but now, he was certain. This was a personage he came across before, and he was willing to outright defend what pack he managed to amass in his time playing Omega in the name of advancement.
  27.
  28. "I wander where I please..." He answered aggressively, forgetting the bloodied victims that were soon extracted by his lesser pack members, ensnared by their claws and constricting arms: Prepared for their leader's consumption. "Where ever humans may lie, I venture to vanquish and punish. Do not get in my way. I treat human sympathizers with equivalence to the scummy scoundrels they are." He barked back via the telepathic channel.
  29.
  30. He took a step away from the household he threatened to push over with his extensive height, approaching a rival pack leader of relative size to contest;
  31. Hardly over 15 feet tall, and muscularly imposing with boisterous physicality- Xerves stood tall, a dull gray with over-sized horns designed solely for goring his victims. As many Yokai have grown unique, visualizations upon his form would provide naught of true difference from the many that roamed Bygonegrove. Though, abdominal sculpting proved extensive on the creature, likely to suggest extreme durability to the elements?
  32. (Xerves)
  33.
  34. The girl had been wandering aimlessly about the forest in search of a single thing--a sentient yokai. She had come across many of the more brutal ground, but since since Azeris had she been able to communicate with one; however, as she emerged from the wood, she spied two monstrous creatures standing next to each other. Without fear, without hesitation, she stepped out into the open, eyeing both of them suspiciously; though, this look was soon hidden, replaced with a smile.
  35.
  36. She looked to the stranger yokai, not to say all of them weren't strange, specifically. "I've been looking for one of you for a long time," she said, her tone calm and easy, no unexpected bumps or jerks.
  37.
  38. (Nymeria Perrafin)
  39.
  40. The pack of Azeris' ownership growed to rival Xerves' own, a small squadron - battalion, perhaps - of 'troop'-like, daemonic soldiers arriving to a front-lines, of sorts. They faced off against potential foe and ally alike, the chromatic copy of their presiding Gigai differing largely through telepathic command alone; a stream of constant, while silent, nevertheless audible demands flowing from the mentality of Azeris to his lessers to ensure their endless support. Promise of food and the end of their utterly and unfortunately insatiable hungerings kept the Lesser, Mega, and Tera-tier Yokai bound to his will - with another of his own class present, however, Azeris saw plausible issue galore. Fortunately, however, he found solace within their passive snarling at the ilk of Xerves, and moved his concentration to an alternate issue -
  41.
  42. Nymeria. She was not an unknown girl, nor was she strange in the slightest - at least, not to the towering goliath of a Gigai so oddly deemed 'Azeris' by some unknown parent or thought, perhaps. She was surely out-of-the-ordinary to any particular human, for her desire to pursue the Occult was assuredly strange; for Azeris, however, she was merely a potential follower. "Greetings, humanoid from previous - please hold while I deal with issues with my territory," he 'pronounced,' the somehow audible waves of telepathy passing from the mind of Azeris to anyone within some reasonable range. "As for you," the Gigai continued, turning his sanguine-tinted pair of sclera to Xerves. "I have yet to find reason to not prove supremacy over you; have you anything to say before I obliterate your dignity and humiliate your status? You, as all others eventually will, shall fall to my undeniable strength and superiority, foe."
  43.
  44. His dual-clawed right foot dug deep into the softened earth of the Bygonegrove, his physique tilting forward and preparing to charge. There'd be few seconds prior to battle! Azeris' demand for reasoning from Xerves was more rhetoric than anything else, really.
  45. (Azeris)
  46.
  47. A Yokai, badgering themself to acknowledge a human on any grounds was enough to peeve the Gigai to face this challenging entity: Azeris; Their words only taunted him, leaving him with less reason to pester himself with words of Yokai superiority over the human race, as he had chanted to his fellow ilk for months now-- The entourage roared in broken unity, rallied to their leader's side as he approached the advarsary.
  48.
  49. "You hold no superiority over me, and I shall prove it. As a human sympathizer before me, I will ensure you a proper education as to the vermin they are..." He retaliated, shifting his gaze unto the newcomer with a visor riddled of scorn.
  50. "Your search will grant you naught but death, imbecile." He threatened unto Nymeria, blatantly readied to charge her given the chance. However, there was a greater threat to him than a mere human--
  51. A pair of vermilion beads shown the reflection of Azeris in their gaze, furrowing hairless brows in irritation.
  52.
  53. "I will tear you, limb from limb, if that is what it takes to show you the error of your ways, human sympathizer." He proclaimed in the publicized telepathic channel.
  54. The hulking beast took a single step forth, leaving the earth the quake under his immense weight. The Yokai about sprinted before him, swarming at his feet- Not to combat the opposing pack leader, but his cohorts- Underlings aimed to hack and slash their metallic claws through the flesh of fellow fledglings, whilst leaving opening to his sprint into battle.
  55.
  56. Every step left pronged toes to shatter the earth with crackling sound-effects, chunks of rock and debris trailed up behind him as he hurried his pace to cut away at Azeris' preparation time. The closing distance brought clear view to his opening posture, aiming to catch Azeris' body on impact- A blitz of Yokai against Yokai would be complete only with the centerpiece of two gargantuan monstrosities, intertwined in conflict until a sole victor would remain... All in the name of Dominance.
  57. (Xerves)
  58.
  59. The potential battle betwixt the duo of monsters was nothing but advantageous to her, and so taking a few steps back was something that she did easily. There was a conflict going on long before she arrived, she was beginning to discover, and even though she wasn't herself, some manners were still on her mind. "I'll let you two settle this, then." She said, attempting to back away, but not completely away--there was a yearning to remain close, and to watch the events unfold; though, the aftermath was what she really wanted to see, the battle was just a perk.
  60.
  61. (Nymeria Perrafin)
  62.
  63. "You're the obvious loser, Gigai," he uttered telepathically. "Nothing you do here today will ever prove your superiority; a victory on your part will only delay my rise. You cannot kill me! You cannot kill one who is so obviously greater!" The grounds below trembled with force as every ounce of muscle in the Gigai's damnable form contracted. His legs violently forced calf and thigh together, pushing aside the dirt below in an immense flurry of sprayed nutrient and otherwise. The consistency of the grasses was obliterated by the leathery monster's sudden charge, Azeris' impossibly muscular physique pulsating with unleashed energy and urges. Alongside him did a wave of his minions rush - rush like water did they run, so adeptly dodging summoned projectiles or otherwise whilst still making their way towards the given opponent.
  64.
  65. His two upper limbs flexed with monstrous rage, their upper portions swinging wildly as the distance between Xerves and Azeris was closed. They aimed to punch or strike or slash or otherwise; it was largely uncertain to those unaware of the so-called 'human sympathizer's' thoughts, though one could assuredly come to some sort of presumption based on how he directed his variety of motions. Whatever the case, attack was evident - just how violent it would be, however, was left for the pair themselves to decide mid-duel. For now, it was merely a rampage, combat between two sides of the same coin for the sole purpose of supremacy, dominance, and to demand submission. No expense would be held whilst fighting one who would claim power over him, as Azeris' usual mentality thought decided.
  66.
  67. "I am no human sympathizer, foe; I merely do not trouble myself with the matters of insects! You are a special exception!", he screamed mentally, a roar rupturing forth from his moistened lungs to shake the leaves and other vegetation nearby. "You will fall to my utter greatness!"
  68. (Azeris)
  69.
  70. The fight was undoubtably heated, thus far.
  71.
  72. The sides of the random, misplaced and surely unfortunately-positioned house were nigh fully torn off, thrown to some extent by the battling colossals. Their clash was met with a lesser clash between hordes - between packs, that is, however minor they might be - and a notable path of gore was forged through the Bygonegrove, every rended bit of Yokaiflesh seemingly purposed to overlay the already-in-place dirt paths below. Their spot of conflict was beginning to paint itself a lethal shade of sanguine, layers of sludge-like goo spattering themselves across the whole of the location in generous quantity. Where the goliaths met was a small crater formed, the combination of their weights performing well as a sweeping method of demolishing the sanctity of the ground below. Any and every plausible technique was utilized; horns might be shoved in place of claw, if only for Azeris, and skull would be used as naught but a battering ram.
  73.
  74. Yokai were built for battle and the towering leader of twelve to fifteen underlings had no desire to besmirch their innate history. Every molecule of their flesh was purposed for combat of some kind or another - by extension thus were they intended to one day ascend, though war and fighting were undeniably the stepping stones to that eventual mile-marker. For now, brawls would be the extent of Azeris and Xerves' pleasures, human pleasing or not - and there was nothing wholly wrong with that, perhaps. It was best that the strongest demons were matched, for they would likely develop the quickest... A broiling wave of depravity rose from every footprint of Azeris', threatening to boil over with intense potency and attack the likes of the opposing Gigai.
  75.
  76. "I will teach you repentance!"
  77. (Azeris)
  78.
  79. The powers tipped to Xerves' dismay, never quite in his favor to begin with-- Though, he would never succumb to the will of another by simple words alone. He had dreams of a revolution for his kindred, and would not see it vanquished by another, no matter their might nor capability- It mattered naught to him as to whom it was, he'd see their head's place under his foot as proof of his dominance should things come to it.
  80.
  81. "The only thing there is to repent for, is your sin to associate yourself with human scum!"
  82. Titans amongst worms that were their own kind, clashed midst the forest, delivering shock waves of minuscule manipulation over the world they battled within, browning the landscape by their feet, rotting away into barren soil...
  83. Weight was bared against one another in hopes of tilting to the winner's favor, shifting against Xerves--
  84. Azeris was stronger, heavier, and blatantly more potent than the Gigai, forcing Xerves to stumble backwards into a nearby tree.
  85.
  86. He grunted in the midst of crashing, finding his summons to be naught more but distractions, obstructions from his strikes...
  87. Though, such could also be said for his advarsary-- He rose for his feet, using a boulder for support, eyes never once leaving his rival.
  88. "...You think you're better than me?" He queried telepathically, the growling of his physical stature rung in the undertone, coloring his speech of hostility.
  89.
  90. "If you can accept what the humans have done to our kind, to those before us... If you can't come to realize what reality has repeated itself time and time again, and are willing to forgive them enough to even speak on level ground to them- You are a true fool. They are all damned to the fate of obliteration and enthrallment!" He exclaimed outright, this time without telepathic means, though it strained him so.
  91. A right arm clutched into a tight fist, quivering under the strenious pressure mised into his empty grasp.
  92.
  93. Something seemed to bother him...
  94. The idea that he was so free in the past years, having grown from a lesser without need to transcend into the Mega stage, a true prodigy to Yokai kind in his own glorified perspective, and now, on the losing end to another of his kind? Was he not the ultimate beacon for evolutionary drive to his ilk? To think he was not the strongest, the most superior- Another could stand in his way.. Though, there was also the fact that this one was vaguely familar. In collaboration, the whole idea infuriated him, leaving him to clench teeth as the glare held.
  95.
  96. "Looking at you... Makes... Me... -SICK- The beast's right arm swatted off to his side to blitz a tree off to his side, reducing a chunk of its bark into splinters to scatter the air.
  97. He fantasized a smirk upon Azeris' face... The mergence of his amounting hatred, failures, and this personage seemed to mold itself into a false reality- Controlled by his own anger.
  98.
  99. "Stop MOCKING ME!
  100.
  101. Xerves' form charged without regard for fellow pack members, stopping on those unwilling to evade his stomping feet, reducing many to muddied stains about the earth. They truly mean't nothing to him in this state of blinding fury;
  102. As the distance closed, and the earth quaked, the clash of behemoths forced to ground to cave and lessers to flee: This quarrel was strictly betwixt Xerves and Azeris, and Xerves would see to it, such was the case.
  103. (Xerves)
  104.
  105. Victory.
  106.
  107. Oh, righteous victory; claimed victory; due victory! It was supreme, as was supremacy, though only to the ilk of Azeris. His greymatter, for whatever contrived reason, desired that despicable sense of winning; the incessant sense that oneself was undeniably better than all else in the world of Valmasia. It was such a wonderful feeling... As each scrape left foot-long, inch-deep gashes in his greyed, leathery hide, all that could be thought of was the bliss of almighty victory. The pain and suffering of injury, while present, was nulled by what was an undoubtably stronger sensation. Each tree that heaved with the weight of one of the Gigai as they were flung into or onto the poles of columned wood were merely sturdy obstacles in the face of eventually claiming strength over Xerves - and thus, each tree would be endured.
  108.
  109. It was a small price to pay for the pleasures of winning. With haste was the battle concluded, forcibly ended by the falling of the evidently lesser Giga Yokai. Xerves was downed via pushing and naught else; 'knocked out,' in terms of humanly fighting, though surely still conscious. His figure was kept there with a wayward foot-palm of the presiding superior, Azeris' appendage forcefully digging into the gut of the other colossus. His partner in goliath-like figure had been defeated in all-knowing combat, and it was the most jovial of all facts - the feeling and texture of his foot upon the chest of a fallen foe was supreme. It was utterly orgasmic, to be sure, and so many thoughts drifted. The very notion of murder was brought to hand, though it would be far less humiliating than desired; something more permanent was needed, surely...
  110.
  111. A claw drooped to reach for the abdominal region of the Gigai, wandering from Xerves' limbs to his chest and beyond - it was an exploratory grace, desiring immensely to tear free of the Yokai its appendages and leave it wobbling through the depths of the Bygonegrove with naught but bone-protruding stubs. Azeris thought himself more creative than that, however; the claw moved upwards to drop further downward, even going so far so as to press itself into the chest of the downed Giga and... puncture. It forcefully drifted further, going so far so as to push an inch deeper and remain still, if only for a moment - thereafter did it push upwards, downwards, and in all other directions, carving a... word, quite obviously, into the meat of the massive creature.
  112.
  113. "A Z E R I S"
  114.
  115. From the body of the Yokai kin did Azeris raise, his name now in bold upon the previously-cadaver-like demon-thing's body, pushing back freely to drift amongst the trees once more. He himself, with scars galore, presided over the situation - a light telepathic call that, while not as voluminous as his past shouts or calls, would likely prove just as... imposing. "I do not side with humanity, Yokai; I view them as inherently lesser. They are akin to babies - nay, they are less than that, and they can only hope to be ever as strong as we are naturally," he uttered mentally. "To call them a true foe would be foolish on my part, and thus I merely converse with them. The more boisterous of them will be challenged by our ilk for their superiority, and for that, I congratulate them on loss - we shall always win."
  116.
  117. "I do not side with humanity, kin; I merely pity them."
  118. (Azeris)
  119.
  120. Vanquished: Rooted to the earth under pressure of an insult to his might- Pinned beneath the mass of another Gigai, it was the first time he had ever come to experience defeat in the heat of combat. He hated it, writhed at the very thought that he was disgraced with by the earth that chilled at his back.
  121. Though, there was further insult to be added to this scenario in the form of injury;
  122.
  123. The searing pain of piercing claws carving their way though the leathery flesh upon Xerves' torso was enough to leave him squirming, but not much further action could be taken in his state. He was far too fatigued to make a comeback at this point--
  124. Though, he refused to speak on the matter, he refused to rise up immediately... Instead, he'd prefer to just rest there, fully conscious with eyes staring blankly into the air.
  125.
  126. To some nearby, he could be mistaken for a cadaver, given the assumable lack of knowledge of the situation; However, he was quite living and breathing apparently, with damage taken in the form of a numerous array of scathing scratches that spawned ebony blood.
  127. Even in his defeated stature, lesser kindred that once followed him -and survived the onslaught- awaited his rise from the treeline.
  128. (Xerves)
