Vili pulls aside a chair across the Center and sits on it backwards to face the two gentlemen, toying with a coin to express her soreness from the lost battle. "So, what have you guys been up to?"

"Well, out on the field I'm limited to my health bars - they come in any flavor you could imagine. Literally all of them, we checked!" Gerald pulls out his endless case o' nutbars, freshly stocked because lol apparently I started with $1000 less than I should have. "Tasty to your senses, handy on the battlefield. The flavor sensation is more than enough to motivate your Pokemon to give it their all."

Richard:
"I have been preparing for my bout with Marley, like any proper contender. He shall be no easy obstacle to overcome, but I did not travel here to have the position of Leader handed to me on a silver platter. Though I admit, I would not turn that down..."

Eustace:
"Just catching up with my grandson. It appears young Richard won't be joining us. Once Gerald gets here we can properly discuss our next destination...Our Pokemon are still too weak to head directly to our final goal."

"From what you said that Gym Leader would probably be a waste of our time."

"And I have done my research on this man's Gym...it is quite unorthodox, for certain. It seems the casino aspect is only a front."

"These bars are but a fraction of the experience, sadly - but nonetheless, each contains the closest approximation to a full-course meal at Chateau Chatot!" Nodding to Cahya, he continues, "...trainers as well."

"Oh, I do not know if the casino itself is legitimate or not. But I have heard tales from those who challenged the Gym, expecting some sort of gambling-themed test...they were forbidden to speak of it directly, but it seems the truth is nothing of the sort."

Richard:
"As you know, grandfather, we can hear even that which is unsaid...I wish only that it were perfect."

Vili:
Vili still facing the window moves her eyes back toward Richard as he speaks, taking in the new dilemma into her head.

Gerald:
"You're absolutely right." Gerald removes a bar wrapped in red, emblazoned with images of chili peppers. "Remind me, which of the two Pokemon was yours, the Doduo or the Scraggy?"

Eustace:
"Well that sounds like it would be a good thing. I'm unsure what purpose gambling would serve in judging Pokemon trainers unless he uses such rubbish as Double Team. Is that even allowed anymore? I know there was a debate over its banning in proper battles...Metronome on the other hand is just useless."

Harper:
"The Scraggy AND Marshtomp belong to me, thank you very much. That Doduo was powerful, I won't deny, but its kind are so...plebeian. It would shame me nearly as much as owning that pathetically purple rat."

Harper:
"Ha! But it looks like even its orignial Trainer doesn't have to suffer that humiliation anymore!"

Gerald:
"She certainly didn't seem to be treating it very well... one has to wonder if she'd only brought it out here to prove a point."

Vili closes her eyes and sighs. She can't blame him for saying such as her own loss was attributed to such luck. She murmurs under her breath and smirks away from the Strangeloves, "Win some, lose some. Luck of the draw."

"Aha...It's my belief that the best 'gamblers' rig the deck."

Harper:
"Next Gym challenge, huh...hm. I wonder where I should go...Marley is apparently a very rewarding victory, but I've heard tell that one person has already beaten Reinhold. Ha! As if! I can't let myself chase the easiest victory!"

Harper:
"...and come to think of it, I remember hearing no one has obtained a Badge yet...how's that possible..." Rundelhaus is muttering to himself more than you at this point, but feel free to interrupt

Gerald:
"And you, ma'am - well, I can't claim to know your intentions, but a fight's a fight! This hearty apricorn bar will let your muscles churn on longer than you'd have imagined possible. Perhaps the kick you may need for the Nagoshian Knights tournament?"

Vili:
The gambler spins in her seat and stands up, "I'm going to go see if I can find some wares that will help out the Chateau, I'll be back hopefully with the chef present." She wispfully leaves the establishment to save her from more disrespect.

I'm pretty sure I saw a shop around here... Vili peers around the street corner and lo and behold, a PokeMart.

Eustace:
"I suppose, Richard, that if you're up to it, we could go to the Gym sooner than later. I'd like to see how your skills have developed."

"I could perhaps just battle a common gym trainer or something."

The shopkeeper looks up from stocking shelves; apparently it's been fairly busy today, as a lot of the shop is empty. "Howdy. What can I do ya for?"

"Now that I've seen some of the talent this island has attracted, I know there's no need to withhold my own!"

Vili:
Blondie take a step into the Mart and is welcomed by the usual jingle, "Thought it might be a good idea to restock on supplies. Any good bargins?" She examines the near empty shelves of inventory, "In stock of course."

Gerald:
Gerald slings his pack onto his shoulder and heads back across the beach, a grin on his face.

Kid:
A squirrely-looking kid is hauling boxes around, loading up shelves that Jack hasn't gotten to, "Aw, ANOTHER customer?! Can I go yet? I've been at this for hours..."

Gerald:
and goes to heal his Pokemon.

Richard:
"That would suit me fine, uncle. Without that woman around, we may accomplish something after all."

Vili:

"And now that I've got me a little assistant for the day, I can actually get it all out on time."

Vili turns her head, "I'll be seeing you again later then!" She makes her way back to the Center, examining a Burn Heal's label.

Richard:
Richard backs away from his uncle, going around a table..seemingly with the excuse of getting his pack. "Ghr...so, Uncle, how's your restaurant business going? You've already opened a franchise in surrounding cities, I presume? You're surely rivalling my level of wealth now?"
Thrice:
The Burn Heals are, surprisingly, within date. It seems they Heal Burns.

Vili:
Squinting onto the fine print, reading 'Do not consume through oral means.' She laughs, "What kind of idiot would try and drink this stuff?"

"Soon enough, yes... I can't say I'm a fan of the man's attitude, from what we saw on the beach."

The casino is pretty fuckin' smokey, for a lot of reasons. This woman is chowing down on a cigar mafia boss-style, and Jimi and Levon are smoking cigarettes. Most of the smoke seems to be coming from the white-haired woman at the table, for...some reason.
