  1. >Being a human in Equestria is weird, considering there's nothing else quite like it there.
  2. >Maybe bears, but they're still not humans.
  3. >What's even worse?
  4. >Being a man one day, then being a colt the next.
  5. >Specifically a unicorn colt.
  6. >You didn't even know things like this existed until a year ago.
  7. >Finding yourself in a world run by different races of small technicolor ponies kind of changes everything.
  8. >You were given a choice.
  9. >Learn what it's like to be a pony for a day, and in return, you had to let Discord take care of you.
  10. >He tells you Fluttershy wanted to test his responsibility by having him take care of an animal or something, but he chose you instead.
  11. >He would be under supervision of course.
  12. >You agree to the transformation, and the day goes smoothly.
  13. >Even when Discord is forced to be 'responsible' he finds a way to be devious.
  14. >You can't believe they had Rainbow Dash keeping an eye on you two.
  15. >That's just bad judgement.
  16. >She kept a blind eye to you and Discord's shenanigans, starting pretty innocent, and easily forgotten.
  17. >Rainbow even joined in sometimes, loving a harmless prank herself.
  18. >It's finally time to go back to being human.
  19. >You enjoyed being a pony, even if it was harder than what you're used to.
  20. "Okay Discord, it's time right?"
  21. >"Oh, yes, of course!" the uncertainty in his voice makes you uneasy.
  22. >You close your eyes while waiting for him to begin the transformation.
  23. >A few moments of silence before you reopen your eyes.
  24. >Still a pony, you look at the very confused looking Discord.
  25. >"I-It won't work... I don't understand..."
  26.
  27. "What do you mean it won't work? Aren't you the one that cast it in the first place? You can't reverse it?"
  28. >"I don't know. Even I don't know where the limit to my power lies," he turns away, quizzical look intact.
  29. >Looks like you'll be stuck as a pony for a while longer.
  30. >As angry as you should be, you actually enjoyed the first day of it.
  31. >You'll be happy as long as he can figure out a way to turn you back.
  32. >A yawn escapes your lips making you realize how tired you actually are.
  33. >It was pretty late.
  34. >"How about we try again tomorrow, for now let's get some sleep."
  35. >You don't argue, and the two of you head off back to where you usually reside.
  36. >Celestia kept you near her in Canterlot, with a room in her own castle.
  37. >Discord sleeps on your couch while you head off to your bed to find a comfortable position.
  38. >You eventually find a position and drift off to sleep.
  39.
  40.
  41. >You awake to a pretty regular day.
  42. >Going back into the pranks, you start by hiding the cake that was supposed to go to Celestia.
  43. >When she finds out it was you and Discord, you're almost cornered before you hide behind her sisters glorious ass.
  44. >She kept you hidden, even while you poked and prodded at her pony butt.
  45. >Her explanation for the sudden yelps of surprise was "I-I have a stallion over."
  46. >The two of you nearly gave yourselves away laughing.
  47. >Celestia, red faced and all, buys it and trots off.
  48. >You owe her one for that, but the payment isn't exactly the kind of payment she wanted.
  49. >You sent her flowers, for both her and Celestia, but they didn't expect them to be poison joke.
  50. >Before realizing it, the poison joke had already taken effect.
  51. >Switching their cutie marks also meant switching their duties of raising the sun and moon, which also meant switching their sleep schedules.
  52. >After a day or two Zecora came into Canterlot to save the day, so not too much harm was done.
  53. >The royal sisters still chewed you out for that one.
  54. >They weren't all that surprised with Discord, but were very disappointed with you.
  55. >You think they were just happy Discord wasn't getting into any real trouble.
  56. >They decided the two of you should do some kind of pony community service for Ponyville, and that it would be a great way for you to stay out of trouble.
  57. >Of course Twilight would be keeping you company the entire time, and keeping an eye on you.
  58. >They couldn't just let the two of you roam free after today.
  59. >You and Discord head out to Ponyville immediately by train.
  60.
  61. >You meet up with Twilight at the edge of Ponyville.
  62. >”Ah, Anon! Discord. Good to see you again!”
  63. >”I can't help but notice the unenthusiastic tone aimed towards me, Nerdlight Sparkle,” Discord says with a nonchalant tone.
  64. >”Twilight… Twilight Sparkle,” she says, visibly flustered.
  65. >"Of course, that's what I meant!"
  66. >With a sigh, she turns to lead you off again.
  67. >She shows you around a bit before taking you towards her home, where you assume you'll be staying.
  68. >You wonder how Discord would mess with Twilight as you enter the castle.
  69. >Saying it was a home was a bit of an understatement, as it was made of pure crystal, and was pretty huge.
  70. >Maybe not huge for a castle, but huge nonetheless.
  71. >She brings you to a few rooms towards the back on the first floor.
  72. >"These will be your rooms while you're here, you can pick any one of them," she says looking to you with a smile.
  73. >Discord starts making faces behind her, forcing her to drop her smile when she realizes, pushing him away with magic.
  74. >"Anyway," she says giving Discord a dirty look, who pouts in return, "I'll be just down the hall if you need me."
  75. "Okay, thanks Twilight."
  76. >You watch her trot off before taking a room, Discord following you inside.
  77. >It was getting late, so you go straight to scheming.
  78. >After a while of putting a few ideas out, neither of you have anything solid yet so you decide to call it a night.
  79. >You realize you didn't even think about changing back to a human, but you decide to talk to Discord about it in the morning.
  80. >Getting into bed, you curl up in an attempt to get comfortable, falling asleep fairly easily.
  81.
  82. >When you awake, you open your eyes and try to recall your dream
  83. >The only one you remember follows you through a regular day, except not in Equestria.
  84. >It was your old life, the one you left behind.
  85. >You have no idea what happened to any of the people you left, what they might be doing right now, whether they might be thinking of you.
  86. >Some of them might, most have probably moved on, if they even cared in the first place.
  87. >The dreams seem off somehow, like pieces were missing.
  88. >Maybe you were losing bits of your memories from being gone from that world for so long.
  89. >Either way, it still seemed wrong, like you should know what goes where.
  90. >You get up and trot off towards where you hope the kitchen is.
  91. >Finding the kitchen, you see Twilight drinking a mug of coffee.
  92. >You hop up on the seat across from her, still shaking off that groggy sleepy feeling.
  93. >"That's something I'll need to get used to," Twilight breathes, barely looking up.
  94. "What?"
  95. >"You being here again, and as a foal."
  96. "I was here when I was younger?"
  97. >"Yes, you most likely don't remember much of it, but some of your earliest years in Equestria were spent in this very castle."
  98. >You try to recall what you can, but you have very little of anything from that age.
  99. >Even your dreams from those times don't give you much.
  100. >You can't even remember your mother, the closest thing you truly had was Twilight and her friends, and the princesses.
  101. >Discord was around as well, but they usually thought of him as a bad influence.
  102. >They weren't wrong either, but you still liked him.
  103. >"So how have the first two days of your two weeks gone?"
  104.
  105. "Two weeks? No, no. It's only two days, he should turn me back soon."
  106. >"Really? That's not what Discord told me," she says giving you a confused look.
  107. >You only return the look.
  108. "He... told me it would only be a day, but then couldn't change me back..."
  109. >"Hmm, I guess I wouldn't really put it past Discord to lie like that," even she didn't seem too happy about it.
  110. >Why wouldn't he just tell you it would be a week?
  111. >What does he gain from lying?
  112. >You leave Twilight to her coffee, heading straight to where Discord was.
  113. >Suddenly your horn charges, busting the door to his room down.
  114. >Awake and alert now he looks to you.
  115. >"Morning already?" he yawns it off like it were normal for his doors to explode open like that.
  116. "Why didn't you tell me it was two weeks and not two days?"
  117. >"Oh, um, about that..." he gives a defeated look and tone.
  118. >He can't weasel his way out of this.
  119. >"You see, I was going to tell you, but I wasn't really sure how. Being trapped in stone for a long period of time doesn't exactly make you a savant at social chit chat."
  120. "Haven't you been out for a long time?"
  121. >"Well, yes-"
  122. "You couldn't have given me SOME warning?"
  123. >"I... I guess I started to enjoy it, our time pranking ponies and such. It really is quite fun!"
  124. "Even if it was fun, you should have told me!"
  125. >"I'm sorry.. I suppose I should have told you."
  126. >You leave him, less angry than before.
  127. >Hungry, you head to the kitchen.
  128. >Before you do, you try your magic one more time, seeing if you can get the door back up.
  129. >Your horn barely lights to a fraction of what it had lit to before.
  130. >Giving up, you decide to practice that later.
