[23:25]	* [Pyg]Cerise	is in the process of putting on something that isn't her usual maid uniform.

[23:28]	<Mary>	Oh, nothing.
[23:31]	* Mary	waits patiently, trying to think about some things while trying not to think about others.
[23:36]	* [Pyg]Cerise	tightens her belt and flexes her legs a bit to make sure her new attire is comfortable.
[23:40]	<Mary>	Just tell me when you're ready.
[23:41]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Ah, right. Yeah, we should get going."
[23:43]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Can we stop by my room really quick? I need to get something from there."

[23:46]	* Mary	gets up, takes Cerise's hand(it's reflexive now), and allows herself to be lead through the hallways.
[00:01]	* [Pyg]Cerise	, after picking up a rifle she had been keeping for dire emergencies, heads for the kitchen, still leading Mary.
[23:55]	* `Sam	paces about the kitchen, trying to think of what to throw into a soup.
[23:58]	<`Sam>	What to add...?
[00:01]	* `Sam	's mind begins to wander back to various things as she looks around for and begins assembling one or two rudimentary ingredients for (what she thinks) would be a good soup.
[00:02]	* Mary	slowly steps in after Cerise.
[00:03]	<Mary>	Sam?
[00:03]	* `Sam	's thought pattern is interrupted by the new presence.
[00:03]	<`Sam>	Huh? ah, hello...
[00:04]	<Mary>	Are you okay, sweetie? Do you need any help?
[00:05]	* `Sam	places the stock and lone potato she retrieved while musing on the counter, and then turns to face Mary proper. Well, mostly.
[00:06]	<`Sam>	Um, kinda, and yes...
[00:06]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"What's seems to be the trouble?"
[00:07]	* Mary	walks slowly along the counter, finds the sink and washes her hands. It's only good etiquette, what with all the touching and stuff.
[00:08]	* `Sam	continues speaking in Mary's general direction, though she does not look at her straight-on.
[00:08]	* [Pyg]Cerise	sets her rifle aside, rolling up her sleeves. Wouldn't hurt for an extra set of hands.
[00:08]	* Mary	dries them off and smiles.
[00:08]	<Mary>	Okay. Mary and Cerise are here to help.
[00:09]	* `Sam	makes a small nod.
[00:09]	<`Sam>	Thank you.
[00:10]	<`Sam>	Well, a lot of stuff I didn't get just happened, and I don't know how to cook very well still.
[00:12]	<Mary>	Yeah, sorry about that. We'll teach you after all this is over.
[00:13]	* Mary	remains as optimistic as she can for Sam, but isn't really sure if they'll be around for it. Only thing I can do now is have faith and try hard.

[00:14]	<Mary>	If you can stand learning from a blind girl, that is. Maybe Cerise or Teilya would be better mentors.

[00:15]	* `Sam	nods again and offers a small smile, but still appears troubles.
[00:15]	* Mary	thinks about it. Ludwig mentioned one of those, right?
[00:16]	<`Sam>	... What's the difference?
[00:19]	<Mary>	A stew usually has more solid material, while a soup is mostly broth or something like that.
[00:19]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Yeah, something like that."
[00:20]	<`Sam>	ah, I see.
[00:20]	<Mary>	A stew is easy to make. What do we have?
[00:24]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Shall I look in the fridge?"
[00:25]	<Mary>	Yes, please.
[00:25]	* `Sam	just watches the two for the moment, stealing away a bit of time to try and sort out recent events...
[00:26]	* [Pyg]Cerise	goes over to the refrigerator to check what contents inside would be suitable for a stew.
[00:27]	<Mary>	Do we have any real meat? Even if we only have a little beef, we can use what we have in cans to make a nice beef stew.
[00:28]	<Mary>	Hey Sam, can you peel onions and cut vegetables?
[00:29]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Ah, yeah, we do, surprisingly."
[00:29]	<`Sam>	um, I can try.
[00:30]	<Mary>	Oh good. Get about... this much.
[00:30]	* [Pyg]Cerise	manages to dig out a tender looking slab of beef from the fridge. She gives it a whiff to make sure it's still good before bringing it over.
[00:30]	* Mary	holds her hands out in a way that can only represent ten ounces of beef
[00:32]	* [Pyg]Cerise	weighs the piece while on her way. Yes, that feels about right.
[00:32]	* `Sam	looks around the kitchen for some onions and other vegetables, and the proper tools to cut and peel them.
[00:33]	<Mary>	Alright then. Go see if we have a fresh onion or two, a couple of carrots, one or two tomatoes, and... six potatoes, I think? One for each person, right?
[00:34]	<Mary>	Some peas would be good, too. I think we have some still in the freezer...
[00:34]	* Mary	messes around in the kitchen
[00:37]	<Mary>	Hey, Sam. Do you have a favorite food?
[00:38]	<`Sam>	I don't know...
[00:38]	<`Sam>	Everything i've eaten here has been pretty good.
[00:39]	<Mary>	Really? Darn. Sorry, I was hoping maybe your tongue would remember.
[00:39]	* Mary	sighs, and takes the peas back to the counter.
[00:41]	* [Pyg]Cerise	goes back to look for more ingredients in the fridge.
[00:42]	* Mary	sets them in water, and continues the small talk
[00:43]	<Mary>	I suppose we should make pizza sometime. Are you sure you've never had pizza?
[00:43]	<`Sam>	I don't know if I have had that, either...
[00:45]	* `Sam	by this point has found some various vegetables along with a knife, though she's not begun cutting them.
[00:48]	* Mary	heaves a big sigh, and drops whatever she's doing.
[00:48]	<Mary>	Sam, are you alright? Because, well, really, I'm not. And we don't expect you to be, either, after that...
[00:49]	* `Sam	's facade begins dropping without ceremony.
[00:49]	<`Sam>	... No i'm not, either...
[00:51]	* [PB]Teilya	, after tackling the almost-dead generators, came in then with a slightly dirtied uniform. Looking around the occupants, she sensed something was...not quite well.
[00:51]	<Mary>	Don't worry, Sam. You're not alone, and you're not a bug.
[00:51]	<Mary>	I'm not, at least.
[00:52]	* Mary	pulls off her hood, and touches two points on her head.
[00:52]	* `Sam	's head lowers, and her arms lie limp at her sides.
[00:52]	<Mary>	See? No feelers.
[00:53]	* `Sam	shakes just a little.
[00:53]	<Mary>	Do you have any feelers? You know, those little antennaes?
[00:54]	<`Sam>	N-no, but...
[00:55]	<`Sam>	... what does all of this mean...?
[00:55]	* Mary	shrugs, and re-dons the hood.
[00:56]	<Mary>	Nothing's changed. We just have to work harder now.
[00:56]	<Mary>	Do you need help cutting those?
[00:57]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Ah, Miss Teilya."
[00:57]	<`Sam>	um, yeah...
[00:58]	* [PB]Teilya	blinks at Cerise, then make a 'quiet' motion.
[00:58]	<Mary>	Ah, it's simple. Grab the cutting board, set it here and hand me that large knife. It's the one with the notches on the handle.
[00:58]	<[PB]Teilya>	I don't think I should interrupt just yet...
[00:59]	* `Sam	's throat tightens a little, though she keeps herself together and hands over the knife. Beside that, she does not move.
[01:00]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Huh? Oh..."
[01:00]	* Mary	grabs a carrot, washes it and sets it on the board.
[01:00]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"No, it's all right. Besides, we could probably use some more help. We could get this done faster."
[01:01]	<[PB]Teilya>	You sure? I could help, but the atmosphere here is a bit...weird...
[01:02]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"It's fine. Sam may feel better with you around."
[01:02]	* `Sam	returns to her previous strained posture.
[01:03]	<[PB]Teilya>	Well, I...I guess...
[01:04]	* [PB]Teilya	sighed, and makes herself more easily seen as she moved around the kitchen area.
[01:04]	<Mary>	It's easy. Just take the knife, line it up like this, and push down with a bit of a see-saw motion so you slice it easily instead of chopping right through it.
[01:04]	<[PB]Teilya>	Any thing that needs to be done...?
[01:04]	* Mary	slices a few hunks, then stops at Teilya's call.
[01:05]	<Mary>	Ah, Miss Teilya. Could you teach Sam how to chop vegetables? We're making a stew.
[01:05]	<[PB]Teilya>	I guess, sure.
[01:06]	* `Sam	's head raises upon hearing Teilya, though only just enough to look at her.
[01:06]	* [PB]Teilya	nodded, and moves towards the chopping boards, next to Sam.
[01:06]	<[PB]Teilya>	Right, let's make them nice, okay?
[01:07]	* [PB]Teilya	cheered with a grin.
[01:07]	* Mary	steps aside. Teilya can help her more than I can.
[01:07]	* `Sam	gulps, and then nods once.
[01:07]	<[PB]Teilya>	Don't worry, it's easy~
[01:08]	* [PB]Teilya	gives Sam a soft pat on the back.
[01:08]	<[PB]Teilya>	Here, I'll demonstrate~
[01:09]	* [PB]Teilya	takes a spare knife, and began slicing the veggies into a neat pile, ready to be used.
[01:09]	* [Pyg]Cerise	looks down on all the ingredients she's gathered.
[01:11]	* `Sam	just watches, her being still strained.
[01:13]	<Mary>	Umm... When did the master want to be summoned?
[01:14]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Wasn't it after the food was done?"
[01:14]	<Mary>	Right.
[01:14]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Bah, I can't remember. Some maid I am..."
[01:14]	* [PB]Teilya	takes a glance towards Sam, and stops her work as she saw the girl's expression.
[01:14]	<[PB]Teilya>	Hey, are you still getting worked up about it?
[01:15]	* [PB]Teilya	tried to be encouraging, ruffling the girl's hair in affection.
[01:15]	* `Sam	just nods.
[01:15]	<[PB]Teilya>	You are you, what you are doesn't make you less of yourself.
[01:17]	<[PB]Teilya>	You're the Sam that I liked. It doesn't matter if you're not human, what matters is who you are at heart.
[01:19]	<[PB]Teilya>	You're the kind girl we rescued from that secret lab. You're a fellow maid of this fortress. You're the girl that is now part of this...family.

[01:22]	* [PB]Teilya	ruffles the girl's hair again, smiling warmly.
[01:22]	* Mary	pretends not to be listening. You tell her, Teilya!
[01:22]	* `Sam	suddenly clings tight to Teilya in a hug.
[01:23]	* [PB]Teilya	freezes a second in surprise, but quickly returned the hug.
[01:30]	* `Sam	sobs just a few times, though no tears escape her shut eyes.
[01:31]	<[PB]Teilya>	It's okay, you are who you are. Just be yourself and let it all out, I'll always be here, by your side.
[01:32]	* [PB]Teilya	whispers softly as she hold onto the girl.
[01:34]	* `Sam	goes ahead and lets herself cry now, though she keeps herself from doing so too much as best she can.
[01:37]	* [PB]Teilya	continues to hold onto the crying girl with care, smiling warmly and encouragingly as her uniform gets more moistened each passing second.
[01:37]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Umm...Sh-should we leave these two alone for a bit?"
[01:37]	* [Pyg]Cerise	whispers to Mary.
[01:38]	* Mary	nods, and quietly steps away with Cerise.
[01:45]	* `Sam	stops after a few minutes' passage.
[01:45]	<Mary>	Must be hard for her, on top of everything else. Nothing makes sense to the poor child... Not much does to me anymore, either.
[01:47]	* [PB]Teilya	kept hugging Sam close for another minute of so, before letting the girl go, smiling kindly.
[01:47]	<[PB]Teilya>	Feeling better? Then we should get this stew done, okay?
[01:48]	<`Sam>	y-yeah, let's.
[01:49]	* [PB]Teilya	nods with a grin, and gets back to teaching Sam all about the wonders of chopping up veggies.
[01:51]	* [Pyg]Cerise	can't really say much, and instead opts to take Mary's hand in hers and give it a reassuring squeeze.
[01:51]	* Mary	squeezes back. And that's all that needs to be said, really.
[01:53]	* `Sam	listens and learns from Teilya's lesson, now well enough to be able to do so.
[02:00]	* [Pyg]Cerise	peeks into the kitchen to see if the two have finished having their moment.
[02:04]	* Mary	casts an ear
[02:04]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Think they're all right now?"
[02:09]	<Mary>	I don't know...
[02:09]	* Mary	clears her throat near the door, loudly.
[02:10]	* [PB]Teilya	was about to teach Sam about the correct position of the knife when she hears Mary clearing her throat.
[02:10]	<[PB]Teilya>	Hmm, do you need something, Mary?
[02:11]	<Mary>	Sounds like it. Care to lead me in?
[02:11]	* `Sam	turns her head to look at Mary, looking cathartic but not like how she was a short time before.
[02:13]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Sure thing."
[02:13]	* [Pyg]Cerise	brings herself back in along with Mary to resume preparations.
[02:17]	* Mary	helps Cerise, leaving Sam up to Teilya.
[02:17]	<Mary>	Oh, it was nothing. Sorry we bothered you.
[02:17]	<[PB]Teilya>	Oh, okay, be careful with the equipments, then~
[02:22]	* `Sam	begins cutting some vegetables, as she's been instructed.
[02:22]	* [PB]Teilya	nods at Mary once, then turns back to observing Sam's attempt at cooking.
[02:25]	* `Sam	seems as though she's doing this with competency, despite how little she's cooked before.
[02:25]	* [PB]Teilya	smiles and nods, evidently pleased with Sam's progress. Hm hm, she can tell today's meal will be great!
[02:34]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"So, umm, who's going to tell Master Ludwig the food will be ready?"
[02:39]	<Mary>	I believe he asked Sam, yes?
[02:40]	* `Sam	can be seen smiling just the slightest bit as she turns around from her cooking.
[02:40]	<`Sam>	Yes, he asked me.
[02:45]	<[Pyg]Cerise>	"Oh, well, we'll leave it to you then."
[02:54]	* `Sam	takes a deep breath and then puts the knife down, walking out of the room only after one last glance at Teilya(and the others).
