- Description: Kye took Scott, someone he considered a friend, with him on a fishing trip. Scott took the opportunity to shoot Kye in the head, before stealing his wallet, car keys, cellphone, and some drugs he had on him.
- Kye’s boat was found drifting in the water the next morning. His truck and trailer were found in a sugar cane field after Scott had unsuccessfully tried to burn them.
- Scott bragged to friends in text messages: “Man, bra, I knocked my white boy off last night.”
