  61. Beartic +20 atk Slush Rush Buffed to mirror Ursaring
  62.

  82. Raikou Inner Focus
  83. I will put miscellaneous movepool nerfs in here too:
  84. gen 8: Nasty Plot is no longer learned by Thunderus
  85. Gen 7: Power-Up Punch is no longer usable on Kanghaskan
  86. Gen 6: Eruption Heatran(gen5) no longer is usable by Pentagon rule's addition, Gen 4's Sheer Cold Suicune now also is no longer usable.
  87.
  88.
  89. Observation:
  90. Mirror correlations; it be BST's identical and stat distribution in a simalar or polarizing way. Beartic got +20 to mirror Ursaring, Masquarain got +40 to mirror Araquanid (yes), however Mantine for +20 HP to no longer mirror Skarmory. Pelipper to your suprise is a BST mirror to Swellow, with Wingull and Taillow being compleat mirrors, and both Pelipper and swellow having had 430 bst, but now they differ assumably in prevention of another top usage Drizzle user.
  91. Ariados in this is unclear. Ariados got a signature move in addition to a stat buff of 10 for 390 -> 400 bst. But it's counter part Ledian, who is some how even worse, didn't get anything. Dustox is in a simalar situation with Beautifly, who got +10 bst, while dustox who is an opposite to it didn't get such a buff.
  92. Other incompleat game-exclusive counter parts that could see a buff;
  93. Honchcrow vs Mismagius with Mismagius being 10 bst below.
  94. Aromatisse has 18 bst below Slurpuff
  95. Seviper and Zangoose are 2 of the most well known counterparts(rivals), it wouldn't be odd to see them be buffed in the future.
  96. Both Sableye and Mawile who are counterparts have both obtained Mega Evolution. Plusle and Minun(also mirrors) alongside Pachirisu(sharing BST and concept) are 405 BST and perhaps could be raised by 20 to 25 BST to lift it into the range of Emolga (428) with other Electric rodents at 435.
  97. BST related; While Corsola/Delcatty are the other full evolved pokemon with a BST of simalar value, both were buffed to 410 and 400 respectively, with Delcatty's signature finally being 1.2x, (despite still being a more negative ability than a possitive). Corsola got a regional form, so its quite likely we will see Delcatty also get one in the near future. This might seem insignificant, but there is a clear trend in the low BST pokemon like Azumarill, Magcargo, etc being buffed. Noticable pokemon remaining in 410 BST include Sudowoodo and Pyukumuku. Infact, below Mawile and Sableye, who both have mega's, there are only Farfetch'd(who is now simalar BST to Mawile/Sableye after buff), Spinda, Unown, Delibird, Luvdisc, Ditto, Smeargle and Shedinja. Ditto/Smeargle/Unown/Delibird have a movepool gimmick, Shedinja is defined by its gimmick, Luvdisc sorta has a gimmick in Heart Scale collection but could as well become a usable pokemon by regional evolution and Spinda also is ment to have a gimmick but ... they literally stepped away from it since gen5, but buffing it would be awkward as its stats are 60 across the board; they would need to make a regional evolution OR Mega like Glalie if they intend on buffing that pokemon with known methodes.
  98. On topic of Pyukumuku, most of its BST is wasted on physical attack and it still does well for Singles(#64 at moment of posting this for Battlespot singles, and having been even higher in the past). Though one could always argue it could be deserving of a buff, Gamefreak only seems to care about making something worth considering rather than "good" per say. Sudowoodo has no reason being 410 BST especially for gen2's story where you are implied to capture it at level 20. 430 seems like a logical expectation, even if still low from a competitive view.
  99. As last pokemon by level obtainability; Pincurchin. It sits at 435 and is for now obtained at level 38 alongside Kingler/Octillery's. I expect a situation of level obtainability to be lowered, simalar to what happend with Qwilfish and/or a stat buff of 10-20 HP.
  100. On topic of Intimidate Krookodile however, it seems a lot of Intimidate pokemon have gotten stat buffs, I wouldn't have called this pastebin reaching if it wasn't for me to say something like "oh, they might as well buff Mightyena then". Though Explicitly Krook is an odd one here. Krookodile was in 3/8 Top Worlds teams for VGC2011, sure it compleatly dropped in usage the year after but with that logic Eelektross would also be getting a stat buff and Vikavolt too for its debute at VGC17. To explain why it might not have been given another buff could be in the fact it rose to Nr. 1 in 2017 by Ryoto Otsubo, the overall usage was 1.8%, which was comparable to as obscure as Pachirisu was in VGC14. Simalar to Krookodile, Mightyena also doesn't mirror anything, and even has intentionally low stats on its pre-evolution, I could whiff up some implications like 270 Yamper to 490 Boltund, thus Mightyena should gain 20 BST, but, there is no logic to that, even if it would seem sincere. While a regional would make sense here, what would that regional even be, Hyena's no longer have sister/sub species, so they would have to do Ice-age fossile like pokemon to make a regional for it without it just becoming a dog.
  101.
  102. They also have some weird obsession with Levitate:
  103. Besides Unown, Carnivine, and Claydol, all Levitate pokemon have gotten buffs(as of Sword/Shield Crowned Tundra) or had/have high usage in VGC; Bronzong, Cresselia, Rotom's, Hydreigon, Vikavolt had a good debute in VGC17, and Eelektross in VGC11. The buffs the other ones have recieved go along the line of 10+ viable moves to Lati-twins, Lake Deities, and less expansive but still important gen7's Dragon Dance addition for Flygon, stat buffs on Chimecho, Cryogonal, Solrock/Lunatone, finally Weezing with 2 new abilities and a regional form.
  104. That's quite a trend, especially if Snap Trap does indeed get distributed to Carnivine, and if you consider Claydol is one of only a few to have gained from all the move buffs in Rapid Spin and buffed Teleport, also one of only a handful to use Scorching Sands as a Ground-type, though more likely to be a coincidence for Claydol.
  105.
  106.
  107. Conclusions of pokemon to likely see a stat buff in the future based on pairs:
  108. Minun +25 BST
  109. Plusle +25 BST
  110. Dustox +10 SpD
  111. Ledian +10 BST
  112. Fearow? +10 BST
  113. Aromatisse +20 BST
  114. Conclusion of pokemon to likely see a stat buff in the future based on stats
  115. Pachirisu +25 BST
  116. Kricketune +15 BST
  117. Sudowoodo +20 BST
  118. Pincurchin +10 to 20 BST, logically HP, but this is Gamefreak, so who knows.
  119.
  120. Mismagius would be with +10 but has this stupid stat boost logic where it stats go from 60 60 60 85 85 85 to 60 60 60 105 105 105 with the last 10 points to parallel Honchcrow being a leftover value they just didn't add in as its 5 points shy of +5 in all 3. Just put them in SpA or Speed please.
  121.
  122. Conclusion of pokemon to likely see a regional/temporary form(Mega/Gigantamax/other);
  123. Spinda possibly 0% if gimmick mon
  124. Delcatty
  125. Mightyena (2/3 trends)
  126.
  127. Stuff that got buffed with implications in low bst for a regional/temporary form:
  128. Chimecho (+7% chance)
  129. Qwilfish (+7% chance)
  130. Magcargo
  131. Noctowl
  132. Chatot
  133. While Azumarill fits the description, it has been buffed in transition of the generation it skyrocketted to a top meta mon, even if no longer highest in usage, GF only needs it to do well on average, ONCE. In addition to Hugh/Pure Power pokemon to have a simalar BST.
  134.
  135. Pokemon that have higher BST but got buffed despite it, and aren't part of a previous list:
  136. Noctowl Got Hurricane, but any bird got it in gen 8 as per high end tm/tr upgrade
  137. Roserade
  138. Crustle
  139. Electrode They needed a pokemon to naturally reach Mega's speed tier.
  140. Krookodile Has Intimidate? Its simalar to Azumarill where after the buff it saw a lot of usage, though a generation later.
  141.
  142. Pokemon that got ability/move based buffs:
  143. Exploud
  144. Jumpluff
  145. Stoutland
  146. Poliwrath
  147. Dodrio
  148. Ariados.... sure... lets go with that...
  149.
  150. Carnivine came to mind when I first wanted to check for these trends because I noticed a lot of Levitate, however, Snap trap is soon going to be a Pseudo-signature, and we can take the implication off of that, that we won't be getting a regional for that pokemon. In addition to its stats being exactly that of Araquanid/Masquerain, which might imply it will get new abilities in comparison to the usefulness of the other 2 BST having pokemon their abilities instead of giving it a regional form.
  151.
  152.
  153.
  154.
  155.
  156. Statistics:
  157. 32 gigantamax
  158. 46 Mega with charizard and mewtwo both having 2 forms for 48 mega evolutions out of 487 full evolved pokemon. (0.0944%)
  159. 35 regional forms with meowth having 2 for 36
  160. 6 regional evolutions
  161. totalling: 119 forms, or 17.57% of all pokemon as of gen 8 Sword/Shield post expansion to have their chance of a certain form/evolution. Regional evolution can be accounted differently in which pokemon are 1 or 2 stage to even get a theoretical regional evolutionbut kowing its only 6, the chance difference is almost irrelevant.
  162. If we compare that to the list we have of Mega/Regional pokemon that have been stat buffed before... we find 23.52% of them to have a regional form/Mega/Gigantamax. Or relatively, 33% more likely to have a additional form.
  163. That's not much of a correlation, though the pokemon in this list are all the pokemon that have gotten major movepool upgrades.
  164. The only ones that have obtained major movepool upgrades that aren't in this list have a additional form, example Swampert with a mega or a regional form, like Zapdos, or in case of Lycanroc with a compleatly new seperate form in Lycanroc-Dusk to get a major overhawl.
  165. Infact, if you don't believe me, here is the Pokemon Home TM/TR upgrade list as of Sword/Shield https://pastebin.com/ThLxMUa1
  166. You will notice all upgrades that are vast have been for Legendary pokemon or pokemon with alternitive forms, if we discount Mega Kick/Mega Punch and other consistency updates like Fire Spin/Sand Tomb to all pokemon of Fire/Ground type respectively.
  167. Only Tauros got major movepool changes outside of these requirements, but its relevant moves are direct copy overs for the increase of High Horsepower pokemon, hooved animals getting Close Combat and yet another one for the *has a horn, forgot, so lets now give it Megahorn*, a trend I could be willing to bet money on is going to repeat when Gogoat comes out again.
  168.
  169.
  170. I have yet to compile evolution -> at x level = x bst as a trend beyond the bottom ones. Though as it looks like right now, Jellicent seems to be below average bst and hasn't seen much usage for a while, but if it got any usage at all, that is often enough for Gamefreak to not buff it(Again Krookodile disputes this)
