  1. [19:28] Versail was hardly reluctant to lay upon the table at hand as commanded, his reptilian gaze flicking over towards Daemia in question. "It iss- wondering, if there is something else that you will be requiring for this treatment."
  2.
  3. A kit, additives, payment? There was perhaps much that seemed to flow through the serpent's mind as it stared ahead, having obviously been unaware of how such a procedure was performed. Injuries were certainly uncommon, and those that couldn't heal on their own?
  4.
  5. Unknown. Yet here, the medic would be able to observe as needed while Versail continued on with his questions.
  6. (Versail)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [19:36] Daemia side-glances over to Aerymi as they somehow sneakily followed in after them; the Cambion had a knack for stealth it'd seem. But this meant that not only would she be helping Versail, arguably one of the strongest Demons around, but also teaching those willing to learn about her job, a little bit more.
  10.
  11. "Maybe I don't suit this Lord's tastes, Seequor.", the doctor states with an apathetic tone, as a hand was placed upon the table; as if she was bracing herself or just being horribly lazy.
  12.
  13. "Anyway, now for my work. You.", those red eyes flicker away from the observers and onto the injured, onto Versail whom currently she had no idea of what ailed him.
  14.
  15. "I am always accepting additional kits. So I can continue to treat those that fall within my care.", it'd seem that most of her work was without the need for coin, simply supplies were enough to sate Daemia's needs. After all, without those supplies she could not do her duties.
  16.
  17. "Now, what exactly is your issue? You can either tell me or show me, regardless it shall be fixed swiftly."
  18. (Daemia Hexis)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [19:43] "It iss- beyond tastes... Enough of this."
  22.
  23.
  24. There is a slight 'clack' as the serpent clenches its jaw, its agitation perhaps deriving from the fact that such hadn't been shut down immediately before things had began. Its charred attire is promptly manipulated with a claw to reveal its chest, where one could presume that he'd been struck by a thrusting weapon with many qualities imbued within its tip.
  25.
  26. Fire flamed out and caused a considerable amount of scarring, much of it less severe in comparison to the its center which had been focused around the serpent's sternum.
  27.
  28. "There are better things to pursue, than what it hass- seen from your end tiger." Sick burn.
  29. (Versail)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [19:46] Perhaps they'd just been focused on Versail, and hadn't spotted her. That seems the more likely option. Yet it wasn't as if she would simply allow this opportunity for another lesson slip through her fingers...
  33.
  34. While Daemia was interrogating Versail on the nature of her injuries, Aerymi had withdrawn her textbook- and flipped it open to the index.
  35.
  36. With the reveal of the injuries being mostly burn scars...she quickly turns open the pages focusing on burn injuries.
  37.
  38. Before Daemia could respond to the reveal of the injury, though, Aerymi juts in-
  39.
  40. "Were there any magics other than fire involved?"
  41. (Aerymi)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [19:54] There was a job to perform here, a chance for Daemia to flex her medical prowess and a chance to teach in the same vein. Currently things were proceeding smoothly, the injury revealed that'd need some specific operations applied in order to make it heal properly.
  45.
  46. But Aerymi was right, was there anything else involved? From the looks of things, it just seemed to be naught but fire and a lot of slicing from the tip of a mithril weapon.
  47.
  48. "It doesn't seem to be anything other than something mundane, powerful but mundane Aerymi. Take note.", she's say, moving a clothed hand over to the considerable scarring that took place at the center.
  49.
  50. "Remember Mors' injury, there was a distinct rot, attributed to the use of Occult mixed in tandem with fire.", she says, "This is just simply a very, very bad burn.", she adds on, pressing down on the center of the burn location, gingerly that is.
  51.
  52. "Mmm, tender. But it does seem to be trying to heal. We'll just need to remove some of this scar tissue, clean things up and apply a healing ointment, so it doesn't scar as heavily. The problem right here is, it's scarring over far too much. Scar tissue isn't as flexible or comfortable as the tissues that should be here."
  53.
  54. Daemia places down a leather satchel, as she opens it up to withdraw some tools.
  55. (Daemia Hexis)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. [19:55] Daemia Hexis says, "The ointments we use, are produced by alchemists such as Sibylle or Vander."
  59. [19:57] "Fire, it iss- not but flame. Surprisingly hot, given it wields the same." A quiet breath flows beyond its lips, escaping from in between its many sharp fangs to emanate a sort of hissing noise. To those whom were used with dealing with injuries, or had even glimpsed upon such before there'd been little else different.
  60.
  61. The burns had fanned out, and while it'd been lasting where such flames had been focused. The scars which fleshed out seemed to be an entirely different injury in and of itself. One that'd heal over time for sure.
  62. (Versail)
  63. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64.
  65. [20:05] Nothing but fire. The cambion nods, making a small scribble into her textbook with a pen produced from...somewhere...
  66.
  67. She does recall the obvious occult taint mixed in within Mors' injury- though she still think it was worth asking. What if something unseen had found its way into the wound?
  68.
  69. Such isn't the case, though.
  70.
  71. Noting down the example of the injury scarring over far, far too much, she leans in close to look at where Daemia gestured to.
  72.
  73. "Mostly similar to when treating Mors' injury, if you except the larger section of scar tissue. Alright...I can apply the ointment and bandage it, though I'm uncertain about using a scalpel myself." Even though she does have very, very steady hands. "How are we going to fix that large area of scar tissue? It doesn't look like it'd be simple to cut out..." Or if that's even the right way to treat an injury like that.
  74.
  75. Looking over to her textbook, she flips through it trying to find some information that would help her.
  76.
  77. She should ask Daemia if they know where she can get her own medical supplies. Then she realizes she could probably make most of them.
  78. (Aerymi)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [20:12] "Hm, right, let's see here...", Daemia begins to shuffle through her supplies, pulling out a jar filled with pale tablets within it. The jar was glass, that's how people could see it's contents; a wonderful piece of magic, right?
  82.
  83. "Okay, take some of these Versail. They should make everything go numb, then I'm going to start removing the scar tissue that hasn't healed properly, put in some ointment to encourage it to heal as it should and..."
  84.
  85. The scalpel would be handled by Daemia for demonstration purposes, she couldn't allow Aerymi just yet to handle it, less she cause an incident; it'd be Daemia's responsibility first and foremost. "I'll handle the scalpel, I do not want any mess-ups. Plus you can see how it is used by my hands."
  86.
  87. Provided Versail took the painkillers, Daemia began to cut into his flesh to remove the scar tissue, "Aerymi get a cloth and staunchthe bleeding, then apply the ointment for me, slather it across the exposed regions, that were underneath the scar tissue."
  88. (Daemia Hexis)
  89. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  90.
  91. [20:35] Aerymi is entirely in agreeance with not being allowed to handle the scalpel, yet- though she will pay very close attention as they actually use it.
  92.
  93. It does somewhat calm her that apparently most patients will be asleep as they're operated on or treated.
  94.
  95. She frowns slightly as the blood starts to leak from Versail, but nods as she's told to stop the bleeding and apply the ointment.
  96.
  97. Pulling a clean cloth from inside her bag- one thing she does have on her person, in case she needs to mend clothing- and uses it to stop the bleeding as Daemia progresses.
  98.
  99. Once the cambion has stopped...most of the bleeding, enough to actually apply the ointment.
  100.
  101. One hand pressing the cloth against an area she's still covering, with the other she gathers an amount of the ointment on her hand, and smears it over the exposed, raw flesh.
  102.
  103. "Could you show me how to hold a scalpel after this, Daemia? And...you still wished to speak about something, right?" Something to do with being siblings, something or other. Not sure...
  104.
  105. Aerymi is making decent progress dealing with the blood and applying the ointment, at least.
  106. (Aerymi)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [20:41] Versail for one, seemed rather fine with ingesting their medicines, and allowing them to operate uninterrupted. Blood swelling from wounds which were once closed appeared to be of no concern to the serpent as long as he'd been promised a swift recovery, and the pain which would be promised from such a procedure had been properly nullified to an extent.
  110.
  111. The serpent for now closed his eyes, allowing his mind to drift elsewhere as Aerymi, and Daemia had worked.
  112.
  113. His mind was likely filled with thoughts of beating up Seequor. That was probably more than enough to pass the time no matter how long it took.
  114. (Versail)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [21:19] It would hurt but the work done will allow Versail to heal much faster. After all if he had left to scar, it would have remained in a state less than favourable for one's health. However, the bleeding had been stopped by Aerymi's efforts after Daemia had performed the cutting.
  118.
  119. "Yes, I will.", she states as she begins to stitch up some part the scar tissued regions that weren't going to heal without scarring over fully. It was to minimise the long-term damage and impact it might have on the Demon, outside of supernatural means to undo the damage al a White Oil.
  120.
  121. The stitches were of course strange; made from Veles' own mutated vines, the plant fibre used and processed into string, so they'd be biodegradable and removed all on their ownsome in time.
  122.
  123. "This is how you hold a scalpel, look.", with Aerymi in charge of wrapping the wounds in gauze, Daemia would showcase how one might use a scalpel; she didn't need to of course, but as akin to introduction lessons, Aerymi needed to know.
  124.
  125. "After this, we'll give him some Lax Essence and call it a day, it isn't too bad."
  126. (Daemia Hexis)
  127. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  128.
  129. [21:31] The courier-merchant-scholar looks about the room for the moment. He knew he was probably in the right place, and look about. A bit sinister, perhaps, but par for the course around these parts.
  130.
  131. He notices the man he was looking for rather handily, and approaches. Despite being under some procedure, Faust walks up respectfully, and places the letter on the nearby rack, which whilst looking like something used for torture, he didn't think much of it.
  132.
  133. "Ai was tuld to délivair zése deux itéms to lé man named Vairsail, ai was tuld zesé would be impairtent to 'im."
  134.
  135. He seems to pause for a moment.
  136.
  137. "Ai must now depart, as ai 'avé addishe-onal parcéls to délivair. Ai stop by regulair-lee, zo if you 'ave mail air parcels to délivair abut, mairely let mé know."
  138.
  139. He then leaves, attempting not to interrupt the procedure.
  140. (Faust Monteil)
  141. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  142.
  143. [21:34] Watching closely as the wounds are stitched close- even with the stitches themselves being somewhat unorthodox- then her gaze moves towards the demonstration of a scalpel.
  144.
  145. It's...not actually that hard. Very similar to how she holds her pens, actually. She'll try to practice that later.
  146.
  147. Nodding as it's described they'll then use Lax Essence before finishing, the cambion retrieves her textbook and stows it.
  148.
  149. "Alright. What was...what did you do with those stitches? I've not seen them described like that in the textbook."
  150.
  151. Maybe Versail would wake up soon, since it seems they're basically done.
  152. (Aerymi)
  153. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  154.
  155. [21:35] Daemia Hexis says, "Stitches are used to 'sew' the flesh shut."
  156. [21:35] Daemia Hexis says, "Brings it together so it may heal faster."
  157. [21:36] Daemia Hexis says, "Keeps it together too."
  158. [21:38] Versail was hardly sleeping, though one could easily mistake it as such as he lied atop the table, motions while the two did their work. It was however when everything had been complete, and the delivery of that letter, that he decided to spring into action and acquire the parchment directed towards none other than himself.
  159.
  160. "Hmn?" The serpent reads the letter, though his eyes don't seem to linger upon it for much longer as flames consume it, and reduce it into ashes in a matter of seconds.
  161.
  162. "Iss- this all? It is appreciate of that which its kin do for it. Even if thiss- life is not familiar. Injury, it will not hope to acquire such again.."
  163. (Versail)
  164. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  165.
  166. [21:43] "However, my creator has a way of making stitches that work better than more metallic ones you'd see in the books.", she states with a grin to finish off her explanation to Aerymi. To which a jar of Lax Essence was swiftly pulled out and handed over to Aerymi, "Read this before you hand it over to him, that's a common piece of medicine used by medics, doctors and surgeons alike, helps reduce the severity of wounds and things of a lesser nature."
  167.
  168. Hopefully with that, they were near enough done with this long-winded operation. Tiring it were.
  169.
  170. "I think that pretty much covers everything. Thank you Versail for being patient with my student here.", she says with a nod of her head, allowing Aerymi to quickly finish off the finishing touches since, after all, they had spent enough time in this room as is!
  171. (Daemia Hexis)
  172. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  173.
  174. [21:49] Oh. Lady Veles makes special stitches- good to know. She should try to ask for some.
  175.
  176. Taking the Lax Essence, she reads the instructions over- giving a quiet huhm, afore handing it out towards Versail for him to take.
  177.
  178. "I can make those. I'll try to make some, when I get the ingredients for them..." She sighs quietly. "Thank you for teaching me, Daemia." Then her gaze turns towards Versail. "And thank you for allowing me to learn."
  179. (Aerymi)
