ORION IS ONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT BAREN LIKES ENOUGH TO GO "DON'T DIE, DUDE."

I don't think there's a lot of trust there bc Baren doesn't trust fckin anybody - but he also involves himself enough in Orion's life that it's difficult to say that Baren doesn't give a shit about him? Because Orion is easy-going enough that Baren sort of just naturally likes him more than other people. He enjoys the slight chaos that Orion breaks, the unpredictability and the nonsense that spices up life a bit. They'd be some kind of friends if Baren called anyone his friend, but to be honest, he doesn't. Instead Baren will just settle for going to look after Orion if he needs it, just because it's a sort of simple task that gives Baren something to focus on and his one redeeming quality is that he's pretty good at looking after people, so!!
