  1. Corporation AOL recently announced the closure of its messenger and the end of all his technical support. Unfortunately, one of the oldest instant messengers in the world along with related services will be disabled on December 15. In its appeal the company indicates that now people have other channels of communication in the Network, and almost nobody needs an AIM.

  3. "AIM has helped us to usher in a new era of digital technologies and has contributed to changes in communication, but now people have other ways of communicating with each other," wrote Michael Albers, representative Oath (a division of Verizon, which owns the rights to the messenger).

  5. AIM is an abbreviation for AOL Instant Messenger instant messages program, which was first presented in may 1997 the ODA. The latest version of AIM got several modern features including IP telephony, universal address book Plaxo, send SMS via computer.
