- One of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to practice proper physical distancing.
- This means keeping a gap of at least 6 feet from people who do not live with you. This is a minimum. The more space there is between people, the better.
- So what does social distancing look like?
- It means staying at home and avoiding all non-essential contact with others.
- Avoid contact with people who are sick, and stay home and away from others when you are sick.
- Limit trips for groceries, gas, and other essentials.
- Use creative ways to connect with others . Use phone calls and online video conferencing for work and to stay in touch with friends and family.
- If you must absolutely leave your home for an essential activity, always stay at least 6 feet away from others and wear a face covering.
- Cloth face coverings should be combined with social distancing and hand washing. They may reduce the spread of the virus, but they do not completely stop the spread.
- These physical distancing requirements are mandatory. We must all do our part to save lives. Thank you for doing yours.
