Child 10: Essay Test: Chapters 1-4


This test is based on information you learned in the online lessons, chapters 1-4 in the text and from the online discussions. You will answer a total of three (3) questions (choosing from the five questions that are offered).

Each of your responses needs to be at least 200 words and must be written in your own words; no direct copying of information from the text or other sources. Your final points will be determined by the content of your response and the quality of your writing. Before submitting, proofread your responses carefully and correct spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. Writing errors may lower your points.

Dina, a 3 year old in her first year of childcare, refuses to share her toys with other children. She always grabs what she wants and screams and hits when something is taken away from her. She does not respond to her teacher's suggestion about sharing. In three separate paragraphs describe what a psychoanalytic theorist, a behaviorist, and a cognitive theorist would say about Dina's behavior and how to remedy it.

Describe typical problems that low birthweight infants such as Ashley may face in the near future and into adulthood.
