- When Raven was a child he firmly decided that he was destined to become a prince. Or perhaps a princess if fate had such things in mind for him. But after having kissed about 217 frogs (give or take a few) he very nearly gave up. But then he realized that there were more to fairytales than kissing frogs. They were all about the struggle! All about the heroes journey. And his struggles through school surely confirmed his theories.
- But nothing changed, and as time passed he grew more and more disgruntled. Life as a shepherd was nothing like the wondrous future he imagined for himself and no longer could he relate to the beautiful heroes and heroines of the fairytales he so loved. But instead he felt a strange attraction to those on the other end of the scale. The evil stepmothers, wicked wizards, big bad wolves... In them he saw the same desire to rule as he felt in himself. And so it was decided. He turned his eyes to the shadows that played in the nights where neither moon nor stars dared show their light. And before long he left home, to create his own army of shadows.
- But what is a villain without an elaborate outfit? Nothing. So Raven took it upon himself to create one, complete with a silver crown adorned with horns and a feathered collar. And so he began crafting his own perfect story. One where he was both the villain, yet somehow the hero. For how could someone as brilliant as he possibly lose?
